Chapter 30: 30

"Excuse me?" my heart started pumping hard and my blood rushed down.

"I don't think he's going to look for you again, but just in case he does the opposite, he won't bother you if he knows I made you mine," he gave my chin a caress and I couldn't believe what was happening.

Had I had one too many drinks and was I hallucinating him?

It was the most believable thing in the situation.

"But I didn't..."

"You will be soon."

I tried not to snort at his ridiculous fantasies and let myself do it, just to get him off my back. The worry of finding my friend was more me.

He kissed my shoulder and helped me down, even fixing my dress to how it was before.

I arranged my hair before walking away from him and leaving him behind, as if nothing had happened there. I watched him out of the corner of my eye, watching me, leaning back on the railing as if he hadn't made me promise to fuck him in exchange for pushing his brother away.

I sighed.

Was I that stupid?

I thought I'd hide in the farthest corner of the earth so I wouldn't see him again.

When I was out of his sight, I ran as fast as I could with the platforms I had and entered the fraternity in the midst of the madness.

I wiped my lips as I walked through the crowd, as well as my hair.

What was I going to tell Lucas?

I called him, to take away his worry and he almost yelled at me through his cell phone.

"Where the fuck are you? I was about to call the police and the fire department," he said in annoyance and I sighed.

"I'm inside, in the kitchen, where are you?"

"Outside. Stay where you are," he ordered and hung up.

Within minutes, where I got a nervous twitch in my leg and mindlessly bit my finger, remembering what had happened at the kiosk, my friend appeared through the door intrigued.

"God, Amy, don't do that to me. I was so worried, where were you?" she approached me, after I climbed up onto the kitchen island.

"I was getting some air," I said and he denied, until he came down to my lips and frowned.

"What's that in your mouth?" he asked, pointing to it.

"Nothing," I lied. I knew what he meant.

Madow had bitten me hard, to the point that inside I had cut and I would run my tongue over it every so often to moisten it so it wouldn't hurt.

"Why do you have that red in there?"

"No reason."

"Amy, what's that? You didn't come out like that," he pointed out.

"It's nothing," I smacked my lips together to cover it.

"Don't lie, let me see," he lunged at me to look at it, but I tried to push him away and for obvious reasons, that he was stronger than me, he managed to grab my face and take a closer look, "It's a bite."

"No."

"Amy Madden, who gave you a bite on the mouth?" he asked with a questioning look.

"No one."

Why did she want to lie through her teeth?

He was my best friend, he knew when I was lying.

He looked inside his mouth, "For God's sake," he whispered, "What cannibal bit your mouth, Amy?"

"No one, I did it to myself."

"Amy Madden, for fuck's sake, you don't know how to lie to me. No one could break their lip on both sides by themselves," he objected annoyed, "It wasn't Kyllian, why was it with him. So who was it?"

"Nobody," I grimaced. He still had me in the same position.

"Who the fuck bit you?!"

"Okay, I'll tell you!" I yelled back and he waited with a hard stare for me to answer, "It was Madow," I bit both lips, as if that would stop my best friend's reaction, but as soon as he opened his mouth and stood in shocked silence, as if I had just stolen his soul, I knew I was slowly freaking out in his head, "Well, I'm off, nice evening," I pushed him away and tried to get away as fast as I could.

"Amy, come here!"

I ignored him and kept walking through the people, trying to avoid them as much as I could to get away from him. I had no intention of explaining myself to him, at least not yet.

I needed the delivery that the red-haired man didn't give me.

How was I going to explain to him that he practically forced me to give in to sex, in exchange for something that made our existence worse?

Obviously he wasn't going to do it, but I said yes.

I saw Kyllian in the distance, but I realized I had that mark.

But it was dark and I didn't want to leave him like that as if I had been making out with a stranger at the college kiosk, why I felt meek and submissive.

"Hi, I'm a little under the weather, so I'm going to go. Tell Lucas I'll meet you in his room, okay?" I gave him a quick kiss on the lips and walked out of there without saying goodbye to anyone, leaving them all confused.

I took a deep breath as I was on the road walking towards the residences behind the stadium, where Lucas lived. Fortunately he had given me keys since I started staying with him and I didn't have to ask him for them until I had figured out how to tell him.

I knew he was going to go crazy.

And he wasn't talking about upset.

Surely he would offer me to fall headlong into something that would take over all my control and I didn't want to give Kyllian a bad image before he left the university.

We hadn't talked about it yet, but there was already nothing formal between the two of us and I didn't feel anything for him other than sexual attraction.

That was the only reason we were still on the same path.

I sighed and took off my heels as I groaned, as I had been walking in them and my toes already hurt as if I had run them through something hot.

I reached the second floor of the building, where the lights were on, but everything was silent.

My stomach was empty and I was tired.

It was already midnight and surely nothing would be open, but I was going to try to find something to eat, so I quickly went upstairs and looked for a coat with my best friend's sneakers, to be more comfortable and not feel the ice creeping into my bones.

I fixed my hair into an onion, since I was tired of having it loose and walked out of the building, but then I heard double footsteps behind me.

I stopped and turned around, to find a man I recognized covering my mouth to keep me from screaming.
