Chapter 16: 16

"That's the first time I've ever seen you take a woman out running," the red-haired man commented.

"I concur," Astrophel followed without looking at them.

"You have a job to do for me," he finished the stairs and the older man looked at him cautiously.

"And what is that kind of job?"

"Do you want me to bring you more college girls," Astrophel asked, clearly amused with the situation and intent on annoying his brother.

The gray-eyed one rolled his eyes.

"No, actually he's going to get me the location of someone who...," he was silent. He couldn't say he couldn't get it out of his head, that sounded too weak, "That I met at a college party."

"Who, the one who saved you from dying?" sat down on the couch Madow, next to his brother and the latter finally looked up.

"What do you mean, who saved whose life?" he questioned intrigued, looking at his brothers.

"Iah had a drinking war and forgot to throw up, so he almost got into an alcoholic coma afterwards," replied Madow, folding his arms, "A girl was helping him when I arrived."

Astrophel's eyes widened in surprise and Iah snorted.

"Well, anyway, neither of you care, so leave me alone," the younger one sentenced sternly, before heading for the door, but Madow had a blank stare.

He too had found the woman captivating, even though he hadn't seen much of her. Her lack of interest in him had caused him to miss her.

"I want to know who she is too," he rose from the couch, startling Astrophel and Iah.

"What, of course not, she's mine," the gray-haired one warned, looking sternly at his brother. Madow tensed his jaw at his childish behavior, but it was no worse, if not until Astrophel also rose from his seat curious.

"If the girl is so special that she has you two like this, I want to know too. I'm curious now," he got to their level.

One advantage Madow had was that of the four he was the tallest, but his position preceded him by being the oldest along with Alex.

"No," complained Iah.

"That's enough you three, you look like ridiculous teenagers," came Alex into the room, entering with that dark atmosphere full of tension and pressure. He shushed the two younger ones, but Madow watched him impatiently, "We have work to do, we're not college kids and we don't waste our time with women," he pleaded sternly, "Astrophel, were you able to steal those beads?"

"Yes, I was on it," replied the appointee.

"Well, get the car ready," he shoved his hands into his pockets, "Iah, go get your gear, it's likely to get ugly at the meeting."

"Sure," he nodded and walked past him in the direction of the armament room he had in the basement, but his brother stopped him midway by holding him by the arm and forced him to look at his cell phone.

There he appeared with the woman in his arms and the two of them watching her curiously.

He let his brother go a few seconds later, to be alone with Madow.

"Are you going to give me orders?"

Axel half smiled, "No, you already gave the orders, I just made them obey them," he replied and looked around, that there was no one around, "Who's the girl, it's amazing she caught your attention. Not so much Iah's, anything that moves gets him, but you," he raised an eyebrow.

Madow gave him a curious and amused sideways glance, "I don't know who she is, I just found her with Iah. Her somewhat aggressive look was interesting, she wasn't intimidated and didn't try to get close."

Denied his brother, "A girl who doesn't pay attention to you or intimidate you becomes someone special?"

"No, but like Iah, I want to take her to bed too," He gave her a shake of his head before walking away from his brother with a curious smile.

"They don't even know who she is."

"No, but I know Iah will take care of finding it for me. He's very good at his job," he said to the last, before disappearing down the hall.

--------

At the end of the short meeting they had had, where the four of them surrounded a table with a man in the middle in handcuffs, the dark gray-haired man's cell phone began to ring insistently.

"Iah."

"Iah, I got the information you wanted," the woman said through the phone and the man half smiled in pleasure at having subdued her, to the point where she would do whatever he wanted, "I know who Lucas is and he's in one of my college classes, from today."

"Good girl," she got up from her seat and under the gaze of her brothers left in search of her bike.

He had already finished his work, so it gave him the time to go investigate who this woman he couldn't get out of his head was about.

He probably only needed to have her in his bed to knock down those thoughts and continue with what he was, however, he had brothers apparently interested in the girl's whereabouts and wanted to know why he was so interested in her.

"Where is she going," Astrophel asked, raising an eyebrow.

"He's already found her," Madow finished saying, before they heard the sound of the loud engine of the younger man's motorcycle.

Madow was very persuasive and although you might think he didn't realize what was going on, it was quite the opposite, he already knew how to make his surroundings turn to his advantage so that what he cleverly deciphered, would give him what he wanted.

"Will you go after him?"

Axel rolled his eyes.

"No, we have things to do," the red-haired man replied and stood up from the table with intentions of finishing what they had started, since he had left the serial killer of the four of them for a girl.

An hour after Iah arrived at the university, past the class the girl had mentioned to him, he waited on his motorcycle for her to show up. Night was already falling again in the city, heralding the end of the day.

He folded his arms, but couldn't help but attract curious glances from the women around him.

Aside from the fact that she looked badass in style because of the outfit she had had to wear to attack a small mercenary warehouse, the posture, the size and that deep look in her gray eyes made them nervous.

In the distance she saw the woman appear down a hallway with a man of her own height, dark-haired. She imagined it was Lucas, but immediately noticed his feminine attire and the way he walked.

"I like to make friends, but you and I don't get along, so...," Lucas argued with intentions of leaving, but as soon as he saw the man in front of him he became mute, as if his gaze had ordered him to do so.

"It's him," the girl said and the brunet immediately feared.

I what?

He asked himself in his mind. He began to feel his legs give out and his heart was beating a mile a minute.

Why had she brought him in front of that man?

As if she had been mentally slapped in the face, she immediately remembered her face and her friend. That was the man she had helped at the college party, plus she had said she knew his name and that I knew the one who had accompanied him.

What if that was why she was looking for him?

What if she had gotten into trouble because the attention had gone to her head?

She bit her lips on the inside of her mouth, annoyed that she hadn't been able to calm down and shut her mouth. Her friend had warned her that this was going to get out of hand and now she had this man in front of her.

Her heart wanted to explode, even more than it did when she saw Matt. It was a feeling of dread, mixed with happiness and excitement.

"Well, then I guess you and I have things to talk about," he announced with a looming smile and rounded Lucas' shoulders, taking him by surprise.

He knew that an unknown man had just entangled him in his body, who was acting weird and had taken on confidences he didn't have, yet he wasn't able to do anything to stop him or do the opposite.

It was under her control, when her friend had told her what to do to make it the other way around, but with this man destabilizing her legs, it was impossible.
