Chapter 117: You Are My Wife

Chapter 117: You Are My Wife

Sophie

"Are you ready, Mr. Romano?" The officiant asked.

With a nod of approval, Braton took hold of my hands and rolled his shoulders back slightly as if he was trying to relieve tension in his muscles. He was nervous and it was adorable, my big strong Braton with nervous jitters made me melt and I couldn't control my smile if I tried. When it was time for us to deliver our vows, he shifted his weight on his feet and cleared his throat before he spoke.

"Sophie, I have lived through things that should have broken me, that should have ended and consumed me, but you, Sophie, you saved me."

His emotions started to take over and paused with his chest rising and falling deeply before he continued with my hands tightly wrapped in his.

"And I would live through that shit all over again because it led me straight to you. You were it, Sophie and I vow to protect you physically and emotionally. I vow to guard your heart and love you every single day of your life."

I dropped my head as tears started to flow down my cheeks, feeling him wipe them away before kissing the trails they had left down my face.

"Are you okay?" He whispered, cupping my face in his hand.

"More than okay," I mumbled, smiling brightly through my own tears.

"Braton, I find something new to love about you every single day. You love so big and you make me feel safer than I have ever felt in my entire life.

My home is wherever you are Braton Romano because my heart belongs to you. I love you unconditionally and I vow to take care of you and love you for the rest of my life. I am yours."

His jaw clenched and he dropped his head as he fought to keep his emotions in check. When he raised his head, I saw his eyes wet cloudy with tears that we both knew he had never shed.

"I love you so fucking much." He said as he choked back his own tears, keeping them at bay. His words were genuine and filled with emotions and it made my heart feel like it might explode.

"I love you too,"

The officiant kept talking as we exchanged rings and waited restlessly for him to say the words we desperately wanted to hear.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride."

As if the words had unleashed him, he took a heavy step towards me and wrapped one arm behind my back, dipping me backwards from the force of his kiss. He held my head in place with one hand while his other arms took my body weight, leaning me back as he devoured my mouth in a powerful kiss that stole my breath.

He righted me on my feet and steadied me since I was still seeing stars from the passionate kiss we had just shared. Pulling away from my lips, he rested his forehead against mine and looked at me with more desire than I had ever seen.

"You are my wife." He said in disbelief.

"Yes, I am your wife, Braton." I said with an uncontrollable smile.

I twirled the three rings that were now resting on my left ring finger as if they were the most precious things on earth as he took hold of my hand and led me towards the door. Once the door opened, Lucien straightened his posture and sent a huge knowing smile towards us. He took a step forward and gave his brother a quick congratulatory slap on the back before taking my other hand in his.

Is this real life? Did that really happen? I am their wife?

"Now we have got a hell of a party to attend, sweetheart." Lucien said with a grin.

I smiled up at him and then over at Braton, walking between them with my hands in theirs.

"I love being this," I said softly, giving both of their hands a squeeze.

"I love being yours."
