Chapter 115: I Am Obsessed
Chapter 115: I Am Obsessed
Sophie
As the elevator came to stop, the doors slowly opened to a lobby that was dimly lit and a long hallway but nothing else. I slowly made my way down the hallway and saw a small table with a card and large flower arrangements. With my hand trembling a little, I took the small card off the table and read it.
'Choose a door, left or right.'
My eyes immediately shot up and surveyed the doors on either side of me, one on my left and one on my right. I tilted my head and narrowed my eyes, trying to figure out what was going on before deciding that it didn't matter which door I chose. I took a step to the right and then abruptly turned and reached for the door handle on my left, holding my breath as I pushed it open.
The room was dimly lit as I entered but my nervous energy completely dissolved once I saw Lucien standing on the other end of the large room. His face lit up with a devastating smile that turned my insides and made my whole body warm. Walking towards him was surreal, like I was walking towards my future and I pinched my own arm to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
"It is real, sweetheart." Lucien said with his smile still fully intact as he watched me pinch the top of my forearm.
"I sure hope so." I said as I joined him at the altar that was covered in candles with a perfect view of the city lights in the background. My eye swept the room but I didn't see Braton anywhere.
"Don't worry, he is behind door number two." He said, picking up on my nervous energy immediately. I furrowed my brows and tilted my head at his words
"Left or right, remember? Left was me and right was Braton, we couldn't decide who should get to go first, so we let you choose."
Why aren't we all here together?
"Two separate ceremonies?" I asked not what I was supposed to, I was just taking in information and trying to understand.
"You are marrying two different men, Sophie and we are committing to you in very different ways. Two ceremonies seemed to be the best way to ensure you knew that we are devoted to you as individual too."
His words settled deep into my soul and he took a step forward and placed them on my chest as he let his eyes eat me alive.
"Sophie, this dress." He said breathlessly, giving my hips a squeeze.
"Do you like it?" I guessed, leaning into his touch.
"I am obsessed."
He took hold of my hand and twirled me in slow three hundred and sat in turn as he eyes every inch of me.
"Damn it, Sophie. I can't even look directly at you, you are so beautiful."
His compliment washed over me and I closed my eyes as I basked in them for a second or two before a male voice pulled me from my haze.
"Are you ready, Mr. Romano?" The officiant asked.
I was so lost in the moment that I hadn't even noticed him but Lucien took hold of my hands and looked down at me with nothing but love in his eyes.
