Unexpected Meeting

Parker’s POV

“Get the hell out of me.” I pushed her hard.

What is wrong with this bitch? What part of I don’t want to date you doesn’t she understand? Why are some ladies so desperate to do this? I really do not understand at all.

“Come on Parker, we are both adults, why do you keep pushing me away?”

“I will keep pushing you away until you finally understand the meaning of letting work be work and I don’t have feelings for you, stop pushing so hard,” I warned walking inside.

She came in as well, I missed you so much you know.”

“How did the shoot go in Abeokuta?” I questioned, well Angela used to be Jane's classmate back then in high school.

Her father works under me and it’s my duty to her to get good gigs and also to promote our brand.

She travelled for about two weeks for the last gig and now here she is without giving me the details of everything but trying to make me love her.

“It went well, everyone wanted to snap with the hottest model,you know my face is so cute.”

“Okay then, I will talk to your PA to prepare you for the next gig.”

“Oh come on, stop talking about work, I know you will be so stressed and right now you will need a massage.”  She said trying to flirt with me but I hit her hands off again.

“It’s running late, go home, I need to sleep right now.”

“Oh come on, why are you always like this?”

“Don’t make me repeat myself, get out.” I walked out of her presence and she left angrily after nagging so much.

Right now Angelia is the least of my problems right now,I need to get some rest and prepare for tomorrow.

I also made sure an email was sent to Calista so she could prepare herself fully when coming to work and also to know my work schedule as my PA.

I got ready the next morning very early and got to work very early expecting to see Cali but she wasn’t here.

I guess she just bought a problem from me on her second day of work, I gave an order for her to be at work before me and I came before her.

I will be waiting to hear her excuse, I hope it’s worth it and also, I should not allow myself to be controlled by her eyes no matter what, she is not Jane, she is Calista and that is final.

I went to the inner room to make copies when I heard my office door was opened, I knew already it was her and I let out a smile.

I noticed she was sitting and breathing hard, I was soft for a moment but I told myself no, I couldn’t let that control me so I spoke out so she knew I was already present in the office, you need to see the way she screamed out.

While talking with her,I made sure she didn’t control me at all, she is Calista, she can never be my Jane, and I need to keep the differences in my head always.

She came up with a dumb excuse saying the trailer fell on the road, though it was funny I just couldn’t laugh in her presence at all.

I made her know I was not stupid and the way she was serious talking to me was just exactly the same expression Jane would have on her face.

The reaction was just too similar, I really don’t know if life was messing with my thinking right now but it’s okay, everything is going to be fine.

I asked about my schedule and that was when I knew she didn’t open the email but I gave her a little time to adjust things and work properly

She finally left to get the coffee and I had to check she was nowhere around before I started laughing like a crazy man, Cali is so funny, God!!! I really tried to control myself from laughter earlier.

I got a call from my brother Asher, ”Hello brother.” He added.

“Asher, is everything okay?” I asked.

“Yes, everything is okay, I am in town and I will be coming to the office to see you, we have something important to talk about ” He added sounding so serious.

“What could that be? Don’t tell me you’ve landed in another trouble?” I asked and he laughed saying,” Come on brother, I am not a bully, I wonder when you will start trusting my calls, anyway see you soon brother and I miss you a lot.” He ended the phone call.

She returned with the coffee and I gave Ruth an instruction to put her through and reschedule my day as well because someone dear to me is coming to see me.

I am kind of bothered a bit, like what exactly does he want to share with me that is so important? Did he do something that could create a scandal to ruin our family name and my name? Oh, sweet Lord, I am not ready to clear anyone's mess that’s why I made sure I always make a recheck of everything he is doing.

I brought out my phone to call my distant cousin who happens to be a lecturer at the university to ask him if Asher called him and he said yes, “Do you know why?”

“I really don’t know why but I also know he called Edward as well, I guess maybe he has something really important to say to us all.” He added.

“He called the Sinful Knight out of the blue, what might be going on with him?”

“Maybe he is dying,” Casper added.

“Mind what you say Casper, Asher will not die and I won’t lose anyone the way I lost Jane.”

“Just joking, anyway, Angela came to see me you know, come on cousin, the girl loves you a lot, when do you plan on giving her a chance hum?”

“I told you time without number, never you bring Angela topic to me again, why don’t you date her yourself.” I ended the call and stood on my feet, what exactly is going on with Asher?
