Chapter 26: Angel With The Black Wings

"Are you awake? How are you? Do you feel better?"

"Who are you?" The boy looked at him with an innocent look.

After he had a high fever all night and felt sick all over his body, he was now awake and feeling much better. Edelweiss smiled while rubbing his head gently.

"I'm the one who took care of you all night."

"Where's uncle?"

"Uncle?"

"Uncle hero,"

"Uncle hero?

"Uncle hero in black, is he batman? Where did he go?"

"Batman? Hahaha..." Edelweiss laughed when she heard this boy's story about a black-clothed hero, of course the person he meant was Leviathan.

"You mean, Uncle Leviathan?"

"Leviathan?"

"This is a secret between the two of us, okay? Actually, he is an angel."

"M-angel?"

"An angel sent by God to protect you."

"Uncle is an angel, right?"

"Yes,"

"B-but don't angels dress in white and have wings?"

"Guardian angels don't need wings, they need courage. Do you understand?"

The boy nodded with a smile. His eyes sparkled as if amazed by what he heard. Edelweiss knew that it was impossible for her to tell this boy that the man who had saved him was not an angel, but a devil.

Edelweiss stopped in the garden and stood near a chair where a figure dressed in black who looked like a homeless man was lying with his eyes closed.

"Wake up, aren't you embarrassed to sleep like a tramp here?" He said while kicking Leviathan.

"So where else should I sleep? I don't have a home and you forbid me from sleeping at your place."

"Do devils really need shelter too?"

"Hey, even cockroaches need a place to live, let alone devils! It's good that you came, did you bring some food?" He said as he lifted his body and sat down casually.

"Since when did I have an obligation to feed you?"

"You're already ugly, stingy too, aren't you? You have an obligation to give me food and shelter after I decided that you would be my follower in hell!"

"Don't just decide! If after I die I'm going to hell, I'd better be a follower of Lucifer or another devil who looks rich and cool. Not a poor and homeless devil like you!"

"Wow... wow... your mouth is really rough, isn't it? Hey, I'll tell you. It should be a matter of pride for you that this great Leviathan is directly following you. If it was Lucifer or another prince of hell, a woman like you would just be seduced by a lowly devil, the the prince doesn't need to come down in person to drag a weak woman like you."

"That means you're on par with those lowly devils, right? That you have to come down directly to tease me?"

"What are you saying?"

"Haha... are you annoyed? It turns out you're not as great as you say. You don't have a devil's palace, you don't even have subordinates you can give orders to. Never mind, I'm going to campus! Don't follow me today! !"

"Who would want to follow an ugly woman like you? Don't be too confident!" Leviathan shouted in annoyance because he couldn't reply to Edelweiss's argument about his status as one of the seven princes of hell who actually had nothing he could be proud of.

"Bweee..." Edelweiss stuck out her tongue, mocking Leviathan to make him even more annoyed.

"Damn it!" He muttered while looking at Edelweiss' back as he walked further away.

"Hey, Edelweiss...!" He called Edelweiss before the girl really left.

"What's wrong? I don't have time to deal with unemployed devils like you!"

"You really didn't bring me food?"

Hearing his question, Edelweiss immediately stopped her footsteps and looked back. Edelweiss sighed, then took out a package from her bag.

"How does the devil need to eat, huh?" He said while handing the package to Leviathan.

"Not really, demons don't need food to survive." He said as he received the package and opened it.

"So why do you keep whining for food?"

"I just like human food, doesn't mean I need it. What is this?"

"Sandwiches filled with ham, egg and cheese. They were made by me, if you don't like them, just throw them away!" He said as he left.

"Thank You,"

"Hmm?" Edelweiss was surprised, she was sure she had just heard Leviathan thank her. But when he looked back. The devil is no longer there.

"How is Sasha? Didn't you visit her at the hospital yesterday?" Lisa asked. Karen nodded in agreement while sipping the coffee in her cup.

"He looks pretty good, probably still needs some rest."

"By the way, you got along really quickly with him. What do you guys discuss when you chat?"

"About the devil,"

"Oh my, are you still carrying a devil? Are you that obsessed with devils?"

"Not really, but I have a problem related to demons."

"You're not kidding, are you, Edelweiss?"

"I knew you two would say this. It might be a little strange, but I feel like there's a devil following me lately-"

"Cough...cough..."

Their conversation stopped after hearing the cough of a man sitting at the next table. Edelweiss and her two friends turned around.

Seeing the figure of the man sitting alone at the table while sipping a cup of black coffee, Edelweiss's eyes widened. He really couldn't believe what he saw.

"You? What are you doing here?"

"I'm drinking coffee, just like you!"

"G-really handsome, who is he? Do you know him?" Karen asked blushing embarrassedly. Meanwhile, Lisa smiled like a flirtatious girl.

No, not only these two girls, but everyone in the cafe focused their attention on the figure of a man who looked very conspicuous sitting alone without any friends.

"He's the street magician I told you about at the time." Edelweiss said irritably. He was sure that Leviathan deliberately made himself visible to all humans in this place.

"H-he's a street magician? Are you serious? He's really handsome!"
