Chapter 37: Chapter Thirty-Seven
~Elias~
“Huh? Come again…” I tilted my head to look at his face clearly. He said everything all at once that made me question if I heard different things.
Lucien frowned, “What?”
I bit my lips slightly, “What ex…were you talking about?”
“The ex you met when you went to see your brother the first time. You think I won’t know?”
He scoffed, his hands tightly wrapped around my waist. I squinted my eyes, trying to remember what he was talking about. I had no ex. I had never been in a relationship. The reason is that I took much time to get to know the real me. Who I wanted to be with. What sexuality I had.
Thanks to someone who didn’t even give me the chance to date someone.
“If you are talking about the boy I met—“
“Who else?” He cut in sharply, his eyes staring at me with intensity.
“He is not my ex. Thought I explained this to you. It was just a one-time thing.”
“Then why didn’t you at least tell me about your meeting?” He asked, his tone sharp and firm.
I smiled slightly, leaned into his chest, and wrapped my hands around his neck. It felt so good. Times like that were just nice. No fights. No anger. Just pure comfort.
I didn’t want to leave.
I never wanted to.
“I didn’t think it was necessary,” I answered, my tone more gentler than I intended. “Your people are just snitches.”
Lucien chuckled, “I own them, Elias. What do you expect?”
That was true. I didn’t know much about Lucien or the Vampires world but there was something that had never passed by my attention—the way they respect Lucien like he was a god.
Their god.
I wondered how Lucien turned out to be a scary monster. Did it just come naturally because he was their king or he earned it? There was a lot I wanted to know but I couldn’t bring myself to ask him. I felt like that would be much prying.
I cleared my throat, “Lucien…”
“Hmm?”
“You knew Anastasia was bullying me?”
He stiffened.
There was silence for a short while. Just the sound of our breaths could be heard.
“Elias…”
He called out and I waited to hear him talk, wrapping my hands tightly around his neck.
“I knew on the night of the event. But don’t worry, she won’t do it again. Sorry that you had to go through that bullshit.”
I smiled against his face, “Uhmm—how did you know?”
He responded, “Does that matter? I have my way.”
I rolled my eyes as my fingers made it to his hair, massaging it gently. It was so soft. Fluffy. Smells great.
“Lucien, can I ask you a question?”
“Sure, not sure I can answer all though.”
I nodded. I understood that part as I was just human and there were limits to what I could know. But this particular question had been bugging my mind so much that I didn’t know how much longer I could keep it in me.
“Who is—sorry, what’s the thing about you and Anastasia?”
Without responding, Lucien walked to the bed, sat down, and placed me on his lap. I was straddling him. I hate to say that I was naughty.
Ever since I got to know Lucien, there have been some changes about me.
I was starting to feel the heat from within at the closeness. I gulped down nervously, praying he didn’t notice.
“Ana is—I have no idea how to say this.”
My chest tightened. Surprisingly, because of the way he called Ana. I had noticed no one shortens her name except those close to her. I knew Lucien was close to her but then, it still made me feel somehow.
I shouldn’t be doing this.
“You don’t have to tell me,” I said hastily, I didn’t want to pressure him or anything.
He smirked slightly, his hands rubbing my bare waist in a way that made my stomach flip.
“She is just someone important. You can think of it that way—“
“You fucked her?”
I didn’t mean that.
I didn’t mean to ask such a gullible question but I couldn’t stop myself. I hated the way I was feeling. It was annoying. Pathetic.
Lucien cocked his eyebrows, “Nosy…”
I looked down, my fingers curling against each other. And then—he lifted my jaw, to look at him.
“Elias. I have fucked many that I can’t even remember. For Ana, she has always been available. Don’t you think it would be bad if I didn’t?”
The hell?
I stared at him, waiting for a laugh, a ‘just kidding’—anything to dull the sting. But it never came. He meant it. And that hurt more than it should’ve. Lumps rose to my throat painfully, it felt like my heart was about to be ripped off. Goodness. I knew everything he was saying. Lucien’s waywardness was no news to everyone but—still, seeing him admit to it…..was just too painful to bear.
“Slut.”
I muttered beneath my breath and got down from his lap when he was off guard. His eyes flew to mine, confusion written all over his face.
“Elias, are you okay?”
How dare he ask that?
How could he be so clueless?
“Hey…” he held my hand tightly, “Talk to me…”
I sighed deeply, trying to keep my anger in check. “You know exactly what you are doing. Don’t pretend you don’t.”
“I don’t know, Elias. Why don’t you tell me? I don’t appreciate you getting off me that way.”
I bit my lips nervously. It seemed like he was really clueless.
“How much of a dick are you to admit you fuck around?”
“Huh?—oh wait…are you sulking?”
“I’m jealous, you bastard.”
“Hold on, we need to fix this sharp mouth of yours.”
Silence.
He looked like he wanted to say something else—but swallowed it. Like there was a war in his head I wasn’t invited to. Not letting go of my hand.
“Elias. I don’t know what this is about but I guess you felt the same way I did when I knew about your one-time guy. I didn’t mean for that to happen, okay?”
Is he real?
How could I be mad at him?
He continued, “You can get jealous, it’s totally cool but you need to learn how to communicate. You get really insulting too but it’s fine, I can deal with that.”
“Sorry—“ I muttered, my voice cracking slightly. I couldn’t stare at his face.
“Come here,” he pulled me to him, hugging me like I was all he had. “I’m not mad at you, Eli. You don’t need to think about Ana too, it’s nothing.”
I nodded.
I needed to let go of everything and focus on making things right. I needed to get a clearer image of everything happening.
We stayed like that for a long while, just hugging each other, and sniffing our scents. Until—I couldn’t bear it anymore. I wondered if I was the only one feeling so horny at the closeness. I wanted more. I felt like I wanted to merge my body with his.
My fingers rubbed his nape slightly, then down to his chest. He didn’t say anything.
Maybe I shouldn’t be touching him. Maybe I should still be mad. But my body didn’t care. It just wanted him—wanted comfort, closeness, something to drown out the ache.
I placed a peck on his cheeks, my fingers curling around his buttons until I opened them. His chest came into my view and a moan rose to my throat but I forced it back down.
Going further, I kissed him again, not far from his lips, and then—-my hands slid into his chest, touching his bare flesh.
Just when I was about to kiss his lips—-
“Eli…” he called out, his voice tight and low.
He held my hand away from his chest and stared at me, “What are you doing?”
“What does it look like?” I replied, trying to make it look casual but in reality, I was getting embarrassed.
“I want you,” I whispered.
His eyes searched for something in mine and then he spoke up.
“I wanted you since but we can’t do that right now.”
My shoulders dropped.
“You are tempting me,” He continued, his thumbs still rubbing on my waist and he was worsening the situation.
“But—you just recovered.”
Oh, that was it.
“Never mind—I’m fine now,” I replied and without waiting for his response, I removed his shirt totally and pulled his nipple with my teeth.
“Elias—stop it….”
He groaned, his hands holding my waist tightly against himself. I could feel it now. He was hard as fuck. How did I not notice before?
I pushed him slightly to the bed, he fell back like he weighed nothing, his hair sprouting over the bed. My hands traced his thighs through his pants and I sat directly on his hard cock. My tongue swirled over his nipple and my fingers played on the other one.
“Wait—-let’s not do this yet. I can wait…”
I placed my finger on his lips and then he gave in. Instantly.
His hands gripped my thighs, rocking me against him.
“Fuck…Elias—“
“Kiss me…” I whisper and then he did, his lips were soft as they pulled mine and sucked them.
“Mhmmm….” I groaned in his mouth.
And then—suddenly——
“My Lord!!! Are you in there??!”
A loud voice sounded from outside that made me pull away instantly.
“What the fuck?”
Lucien cursed, his frustration building up.
“I swear to the Moon, if someone isn’t dying, I will rip your throat out!!!”
