Chapter 36: Chapter XXXV

My mind was finally coming out of the fog its been in for I'm not sure how long. The last thing I remember was Laura and I being lowered into a pool of water. Opening my eyes I see the room I found Laura in when I got here her sleeping soundly next to me. At first I thought it might have been an illusion like so many others have been lately, but when I touched her face it felt like her. Her energy was a lot stronger now and felt demonic and something else, kinda pure even.

I was surprised she changed so much in appearance. She didn't look anything like what I knew her to look like. She had wavy black hair with blue and silver strikes running through. There was black stripes along her cheek bones, arms and stomach from what I could see. She also had huge black wings that had the same streaking that her hair did with blue and silver. She also had wolf ears and two tails as well with them same coloring. Of all the creatures I imagined you to be this wasn't one of them. Just who are you?

As the sun started shining on her face the light began waking her up. I watched her eyes flutter open looking around then up at me as she said, “Hey.” “Hey yourself. Anymore surprises I should know about?” I asked curiously. She laughed saying, “Oh far to many to say in one day, but we have all the time in the world to figure out all the details. I'm sorry I didn't say anything before now. I couldn't the Chains of Justice were on my body preventing me from saying anything about my previous lives to anyone.” That made sense since any time I tried to ask her some different questions she looked like she was in pain or having a hard time. “So can I ask who you really are? I know you said you were the goddess of this forest, but from the memories I seen from the mark it seemed like there was more to it,” I said wondering how she ended up like this.

Sitting up she took her time trying to adjust to her body. She stretched her wings flapping them a bit before she relaxed again. Getting up she moved to the balcony her night gown transparent as she stepped into the sunlight the curve of her body showing sensually through the material. “There is more to it. SO much more. I know there is a lot to get through, but you'll have to ask me your questions as we go along. We still have the Masters to deal with and Mihkail. He will come after us now that he knows I am back,” She said looking very concerned, “To answer your question earlier I am Kai Ravenborn Dorian. I'm an impossibility. A creature like me shouldn't even exist, but I do. I'm part angel, part demon, and part human. My real father is the left hand of the Creator and my mother was a demon queen for the bird kingdom in the sky of the Demon Realm. I want to tell you more, but we really don't have time for this.”

In that moment a woman walks in with two of my brothers from the club behind her. “Hey man, we did like you said, but this one has her own ideas on rescue,” Jewels said as I gave Shades a hug. “Yeah I know. So what happened before we went through our little transformation?” I asked hoping for some answers. Another man walked through the door who looked just like Kai. He waited at the door looking across the room at Kai whispering, “Mother.” Looking back at her she had tears in her eyes and a heart breaking smile on her face as she held her arms open saying, “My boy. My sweet little Kino.”

He rushed to her as she held her arms open catching him holding him tight to her. They both cried seeing each other looking each other over making sure they were real. “How mother? How?” he asked her. She looked to me then said, “Kino, I found him. I found my soulmate. I am now free of my punishment.” A huge smile spread across his face as he swept her up in to a big hug, spinning her around as she laughed at his antics.

“Alright, alright put me down. I am glad to see you too son. However we still have a problem to deal with before we go back to the Human Realm, “ Kai said as he set her down. “What? You have to go back why? Your free now you can be home. There is so much you need to take care of. Uncle is the first thing you need to get rid of. Then...” he began to say when Kai put her hand over his mouth saying, “Look, I am glad to be back in my own body and no restrictions, but I have to deal with this as it has to do with them same demon that got me in trouble in the first place.”

He nodded stepping back a sign of submission. “Kai, we need to take this one step at a time. Mihkail is near impossible to get to and the Masters have an army around them. Killing either of them is impossible. I have tried ever since he captured me and have yet to find an opening,” I explained hoping she understood. “You don't know him like I do. Didn't you ever wonder why he paid extra attention to you verses everyone else? He knew who you were even before you did. That's how good he is. I watched him for centuries before you got to him. He loves to torture beings for as long as he can string the torture along. He is thousands of years old. Trust me its going to take a lot to take him out. Has either of you gotten in touch with your club? He is likely to go after them,” she said as she walked over to the other female in the room. “Yuji, I need yo to find out about my human family. Even if I didn't like them very much they don't deserve to suffer Mihkail.”

“I'll go check on them for you and be back tonight. I can check on his club to if you want,” she said walking to the door. “Please do. Leave a couple of out traps in case a few of my old enemies gets a wild hair up their ass about using my people,” she shouted at her as she left. The guys walked to me moving us to the balcony for some privacy. Jewels speaks, “You were out for almost a week, brother. I'm pretty sure I know what happened, but I'd like to hear it from you.” Shades nodded to say he wanted to know as well.

“I am still piecing this together myself, but yes she is my mate. And if what she said is the truth then she's the long lost assasin that disappeared years ago. I only heard Mihakil talk about her, but he always seemed possessive about her when he talked about her. Little is known as he killed everyone who knew of her or they disappeared to places he couldn't get to. I only hope.....” I was saying when Kai's voice elevated saying, “He took who now?!” Kino says in a low voice, “He's taken Niakono and put a slave mark on him.”
