Chapter 142
“I need you to drink this first.” he said holding a cup of apple juice with a straw in it to my lips. I did as he asked and drank the entire thing. It tasted so much better than the glucose. He fed me a couple of fries and once I felt a little better I was able to eat my cheeseburger by myself.
“ Thank you.” I said.
“ No thanks needed love. You do things for me that I would have never imagined I would have needed and you are there for me every day of my life. Doing this for you is nothing compared to what you have done for me.” I leaned forward and kissed his cheek.
“ I talked to Marcus this morning.” he said as he hesitated to continue. “ We were supposed to meet with him tonight, but I’m going to cancel until maybe next week. I want you to feel better before we get into anything.”
I put my burger back on my plate. “ You absolutely will not cancel tonight's fun. We will be meeting with Marcus. All I need to do is eat and make sure my blood sugar doesn’t get too low. I will eat before and after.”
“ I still think we shouldn’t, but we will see how you feel later.” he said worried.
“ I will be fine. I need this and you definitely need this. It will relieve some stress. Please let me have this.” I begged.
“ Okay, but if you start feeling bad we stop immediately.” he said sternly and I knew that if I felt sick I had better not fake it.
“ Okay deal.” I said. Not long after I had eaten and felt better we were cleared to leave the hospital. They allowed Brian to push me in a wheelchair to the exit where I was then able to finally stand and walk out on my own.
“ Do you want to go get new phones today?” Brian asked. “ It is still early and they should be open.”
“ Yes, I do. I miss not having my phone.” I said.
“ Then we will get us both one.” he said, taking my hand. “ Do you feel good enough to go in?” he asked once we arrived.
“ I think so, but after that can we get ice cream?” I asked grinning.
“ Love you know I can’t tell you no when it comes to ice cream.” he said, taking my hand as we walked into the store.
We walked around the store until I found a phone that I loved. It was a rose gold Apple 14 pro. Brian got the same phone except his was black. When we got to the checkout with all of our accessories we wanted and then the cashier asked if we wanted the warranty and Brian declined.
“Sir, your total is almost six thousand dollars after taxes. Are you sure you don’t want the two year warranty?”
“ Let me tell you something kid, when someone in our family breaks a phone it is beyond warranty and usually it's not covered.” He said pulling out his credit card and sticking the chip into the machine. The cashier not older than seventeen just looked wide eyed like he’d never seen someone pay for phones this expensive out right.
“ Thank you for your help today.” Brian said, handing him a hundred dollar bill.
“ I’m sorry we can’t accept tips here,” he said. I noticed the manager watching and nudged Brian.
Brian leaned in and whispered, “ Which car is yours?” The kid pulled out his keys and discreetly unlocked the car that was his.
“Thank you.” he whispered.
“ No problem.” I whispered back.
We left the store and happily left the kid his hundred dollars in his car. As we pulled away we could see the kid must have asked for a break because he was walking to his car. It felt good to help someone.
“Can we do that more often?” I asked Brian as we pulled out of the parking lot.
“Faith we can do it every time we are out everywhere we go if you want.” he said as he rubbed my hand with his thumb. I smiled knowing he was such a giving person and that the money was great, but it wasn’t everything to him. “ Thank you.”
“ You’re welcome. Now are you ready for ice cream?”
“ You know I’m always ready for ice cream.” I said grinning. The Dairy Queen wasn’t far from where we were and we were pulling in the parking lot in minutes.
“Do you want your usual?” he asked when he pulled up to order.
“ No, I think I’ll get one of those brownie blizzards that Astrid loves so much.” I said.
“ How about I get both because If we partake in activities tonight you might need it.”
“Sounds good to me.” I said knowing that later on tonight was going to be hot as hell.
Brian’s POV
As I handed her ice cream to her I noticed a little smile that had appeared after I mentioned tonight's activities and I smiled to myself. I was turned on once again by how much she was turned on. I reached out and rubbed her thigh and she leaned towards me as I pulled onto the highway. We drove most of the way home in quiet high sexual tension. When I got home I opened the truck door for her and lifted her out of the seat. She reached around and grabbed my ass pulling me closer into her and making my dick convulse against her side. Once the family realized we were home they came rushing out and I let Faith down in front of me so she could greet everyone and we could let them know she was okay.
“ What happened?” mom asked as she ran out to greet us.
“ I just have really low blood sugar so I have to eat more during the day and test a few times a day to make sure it doesn’t get that low again.” Faith said as she hugged her.
“ I’m glad you’re okay. Sebastian had me worried as hell thinking something awful had happened. And YOU.” she said looking pissed at me before she slapped me in the back of the head. “ You don’t ever leave like that again and not tell us what the hell is going on. I was so scared something really bad had happened.”
This took me off guard as Jason snickered behind her because she hadn’t done that since we were kids. “ Yes mamma,” was all I could say. I must have said it sarcastically because she went at me again.
“ You can not be serious to use that tone Brian.” she ranted.
“ Look mom, I'm sorry. I was really scared and I just needed to get Faith seen by her doctor.” I said more sincerely.
“That’s a better explanation.” she said, giving me a hug and purposefully ignoring the hard on I had. I’m glad my mother wasn’t a prude and knew her boys weren’t angels.
When the kids were distracted by Faith coming home I secretly put her other ice cream in the freezer. I knew we had already bought a ton, but I wanted to make sure she had what she wanted. When I turned around from the freezer Sebastian was waiting for me.
“ I’m glad everything turned out to be okay. The doctor isn’t worried about her?” he asked.
“The doctor is a little worried because of what happened today and made me promise she would eat more than three times a day. He told me she couldn’t get like this again because it could get very bad.”
