Chapter 132

“ I will see her after hours, but I will also need proof of what happened. Why weren’t the police involved again?”

“ They were told, but didn’t do anything because they thought we ran away together.” Brian said quickly.

“ That makes sense.” Dr. Rae said. “ Be here a little before five and I will run all of the tests she needs and I will also look you over as well.”

“ Thank you Dr. Rae. You have no idea what this means to us. I will pay you graciously for everything you’ve done.”

“ No extra pay or thanks necessary. This is my job and if I let someone go without care I don’t need to be a doctor. Just be here a little before five so we can let you in.”

“See you then.” Brian said, hanging up the phone.

“ You did it.” I said in relief.

He looked at Sebastian’s phone. “ It’s just noon, but I figure if we leave now we can take you shopping for some new clothes.” He wasn’t lying. I had been wearing my unbuttoned jeans when he rescued me and my shirt had been stretched to the limit. I was wearing a pair of his sweat pants now and one of Sebastian's t-shirts because it was the only thing I had that fit. Not even any of Em’s maternity clothes fit me.

“That sounds nice.” I said, kissing his cheek.

“ The only thing is I will need Jason and Sebastian to come with me and help explain. We will also need Jason’s phone so the doctor can hear the voicemails you left him.”

“I got your back bro.” Jason said as he gave Brian a hug and patted his back.

“It’s settled then.” Sebastian said, “ We are going shopping and getting Faith clothes and also my grandbabies need something too. That includes yours too Jason.” he grinned.

“I’m honored that you consider yourself my kids’ grandpa.” Jason said as he tried not to get emotional.

“ Okay boys, I’m extremely happy that you love each other, but you know what I haven’t had in months and I’m dying to eat it?” I said in excited anticipation.

“ Whatever it is, love you can have as much of it as you want.” Brian said.

“ First stop chinese food and then I have to get Dairy Queen.” I said as my mouth began watering at the thought of eating my favorite foods. Then it hit me that Jake was here. “ Speaking of food, how is Jake?”

“ He’s fine downstairs. Your mom has been taking excellent care of him.” Sebastian said with pride for mom.

“What about me sis? I was shot.” Jason teased.

I rolled my eyes playfully. “ You look fine to me making jokes and everything. No, but really Jason if you feel like you can’t come today I understand. I know what it’s like to be shot and it isn’t any party.”

“Sis I’m good. I just had to tease you. Plus”, he said, “ If I start hurting Em and I will slow down and sit somewhere.”

“Promise.”

“ I promise with all my heart.” he said, looking at me sincerely as he took Emily’s hand.

“ Before we leave I need to fill a duffel bag with a tip for the doctor.” Brian said.

“ Alright.” I said, “ I’ll make sure I don’t have to use the bathroom before we leave or we will take all day to get there.” I was so excited to get to see my babies and I knew Brian was too and he deserved it. He was going to be a magnificent father and I couldn’t wait to see it.

Brian’s POV

When I walked outside I watched as Sebastian helped Faith and Emily up into my truck. I had really missed seeing us together as a family. In a few short weeks my family would be grown by not just my two but three. I was starting to get emotional again and I didn’t want this trip to be about me. I wanted it to be about us and how as a family we saved each other. The drive was fun because the girls had us singing along with them to everything. Emily showed Faith the new music that had come out while she was gone and they had a blast. We had a few hours before we had to meet Dr. Rae so the first place I went was the chinese restaurant. I lifted Faith and Emily out of the truck while Sebastian made sure that Jason didn’t rip open his wound.

“Mmm… This smells so damned good.” Faith said as she took in the delicious aroma of the chinese food. “ We have to bring some home.”

I chuckled at her cuteness. “ You can bring home whatever you want.” We all walked in and were seated. We ordered our drinks and went around to the buffet. I intently watched the girls giggle and talk as they chose what food they wanted to eat. As we ate the discussion headed towards what we wanted, boys or girls.

“ Honestly if we have a boy I want to name him after either Brett or Sebastian. I’m not really sure of a girl's name maybe Charlie.” Faith said, looking at me questioningly.

“ I can promise you whatever names you choose I will be happy with them. I will be happy just to have two healthy babies.” I said truthfully.

Sebastian looked shocked and smiled. “ I’d be more than honored to have my grandchild named after me and I know Brett would for sure.” I could tell it meant alot to him, but I also could tell something was weighing on Emily and Jason.

“ If we are being honest here.” Em said, taking Jason’s hand. “ You both have been through so much that we were going to let you name your children first. You deserve something that is yours that nobody can take. If you have two boys we won’t be mad if you chose both names. We have plenty that we like and can use.”

“Are you sure?” Faith asked not wanting to take any family baby names away from them.

Emily smiled and took her hand. “ We are positive.” She scooted out of her chair. “ Let’s get some leftovers to take home and some for the kids and get to see those babies!” she said excitedly. The girls ordered enough food to feed an army and it was a good thing we had coolers in the bed of the truck because it wasn’t going to fit in the cab with us.

We made a quick shopping trip to the maternity store before we went to the doctor so that I could get some clothes and change into something more comfortable. I bought jeans, shorts, tops, and cute dresses. Brian convinced me to get a couple nursing bras just in case I would want them because we might not always be at home for me to nurse and he wanted me to be comfortable when we were out and about with the kids. We decided on waiting to get baby clothes and our phones until after our appointment because it was getting close to time and we needed to start heading that way.

We made it to the doctor’s office fifteen minutes before five. His nurse let us in then locked the door behind us. We followed her to a large exam room because there were so many of us she couldn’t fit us in a smaller one the doctor would usually have her use. Within a minute Dr. Rae entered the room.

“How are you Faith?” he asked.

“I’m doing great now that I’m back home. My last few months were hell. My brother in law Jason and my father in law Sebastian spent months trying to find my husband Brian and I. Jason brought his cell phone so you can hear the voicemails I sent him so I could be found. I left all the evidence I could so someone could find me. I thought Brian would be helping, but I didn’t know at that time they had kidnapped him too.” Jason handed Dr. Rae his cellphone and pushed play so he could hear everything that happened.

“ I am so sorry you had to go through that,” he said sympathetically. “ I’m going to need to do a full exam on you. Then if you want I can do one on your husband as well to make sure he is okay.”

“No, I am fine.” I said. “ I just want to make sure Faith and the babies are okay.”

“Only if you are sure?” Dr. Rae said.

“Positive.”

“ Okay, I’m going to ask everyone except Brian to leave for a moment. Faith needs to put on a hospital gown and I need to examine her. When we do the ultrasound portion you can come back in.” Everyone did as he asked and I helped Faith put on her gown. Her exam went well and everything was good for now. He did run an std test to make sure she didn’t contract anything when she was raped. When her exam was over he let everyone back in the room.
