Chapter 102

CHAPTER 101: SAVING TISA

“What happened?” Julian asked Tessa immediately she dropped the call. She couldn't answer at the moment, all she could hear was the voice of her mother calling to her to come back.

“I think Talia found out where my parents lived,”

Tessa said, her face bent. She was tired of crying and beating herself up. She was equally tired of running away. She wanted to take responsibility for her life and the consequences of what she had done.

“I'm going to see my parents, make sure they are all right and I'll pay a visit to Talia too to make sure she knows what she's getting herself into.”

“What?” Julian was shocked. “She'll kill you!” “No, I'm done running from her. I'm taking responsibility from now onwards.”

Tessa felt courageous but it was for a moment. Her parent's shouts of terror were what was motivating her but there was so much more than what it seemed like.

“I want you to calm down..” Julian was saying when one of the nurses approached them with a smile. They both thought that she might have come to usher them away from the hospital but she was wrong.

“The patient is awake.” “What?” Both Julian and Tessa glanced at each other and would have run ahead if not that they didn't know the exact way to her ward.

They were led to a friend's ward. Tessa was so glad she was finally okay, something she had wanted to happen for a long time.

“How are you? How are you?” Tessa was so excited that she repeated herself. Tessa was looking much better but she should still be at the hospital for proper care.

“What happened?” Tisa asked, looking around. “Did something bad happen?” “No, we just want you to recover.”

“Tell me, I want to know what happened. Don't hide anything from me.” “You were bombed or something like that, I don't even know how to describe what happened but I'm glad you're okay?”

“Yes, I remember hitting my head. That was painful. Didn't you guys find out who was behind that?”

“You should know by now “ “Talia?” Tisa said with disgust. “Why is she after us?” Tisa's head was banging but she was trying to manage and get herself together.

“She threatened my parents,” Tessa complained. She still felt that strong resolution to go back home and she wanted to break the news to Tisa.

“I hope Drelo is okay. I'm very upset that we are letting Talia control us and doing nothing about it.”

Tisa announced. “She's getting out of hand.”

“I'm going to visit them and I would like you to come with me, Tisa.” She said, ignoring Julian who was nudging her, behind.

“Don't be like that, please,” Julian begged her but she didn't care and didn't want to listen. He was helpless at the moment.

“What do you say, Tisa? Would you like to go with me, I believe we would have a little moment of peace at least.” Tessa said, trying to convince Tisa. Yes, she was really scared but she would be more afraid if she wasn't with her family and helping them.

The cries of her mother, which she heard on the phone, were somehow affecting her mental health.

She felt so sorry that she had let her definition of love affect her family members. If she had never gotten in contact with Julian, then nothing like this would have happened.

Her heart was filled with so much regret and sadness. “Tessa, you have to calm down. Don't make a hasty decision, okay?”

“Tisa, I'm not going to back down from the decision I have made. It's only up to you if you want to go with me or not. If you say yes, I'll pack your stuff with mine and we'll leave Tomorrow.”

“Tessa, she's not feeling too fine. She has to be discharged first.” Julian responded. “I can't wait for that,” Tessa responded without even turning to look at Julian who was trying everything to get her attention.

He was still shocked that she was blaming him for everything that had happened and he thought that was unfair of her.

He felt bad for Tessa and that was why when she wasn't going to listen to him, he made up his mind to let her go. Tessa would be more safe at her parent's home than here but he wanted to make sure she was truly fine.

“I'll send some officers to your parent's home and some of my men so they can guard you when you get back.”

“I don't need your help, Julian. You've done enough…”

“Tessa, I think we should accept that help. It would go a long way.” Tisa pleaded with Tessa. From what was playing out, she found out that Tessa must have been very upset at Julian for not even looking at his face or responding to him. “He could come with us..”

“Talia is doing all of this because she wants Julian and today I'm giving up Julian for her. She could go ahead and do whatever she wants with him.”

“Is that what you think? That she wants me? She's trying to kill me as well.” Julian said. He was close to tears now but Tessa's back was still turned against him.

“I don't care, Julian. Go back to Talia and please make sure she stops all this unnecessary fight. I'm truly exhausted, please.

I don't want you anymore, Julian. You have only brought me pain and agony.” Tessa said and then turned to Tisa. “Be ready tomorrow, I'll talk to the doctor. My mum will help with your medication when we get there.”

“Okay,” Tisa responded and immediately Tessa walked away. She first made her way to the doctor's office informing him about Tisa's sudden discharge which he agreed to. As Tessa drove home, she hoped that this would be a new start for her.
