Chapter 43

Ethan's POV

My heart skips a beat upon hearing her words.

"Spitfire..."

Before I can continue my sentence, I feel Spitfire's lips crash into mine, and we engage in a hot, intense romance.

This one's totally different from the ones we've had before. This one's filled with feelings, raw and passionate. It's like we're confessing our love for each other with our actions.

We tear off each other's clothes in a flash. And as I'm about to inch down to pleasure her, Spitfire stops me with a light squeeze on my shoulder.

Her gaze doesn't leave mine as she lies back and slowly spreads her legs wide for me, nodding gently.

Fuck.

"Are you sure?" I whisper.

Spitfire nods again.

Fuck.

I lean in and kiss her deeply, focusing all my attention on her mouth. With one hand, I guide my cock to her pussy, rubbing the tip against her entrance.

"Are you sure?" My voice is barely audible as I ask this question again, my eyes searching her face for any sign of hesitation. But there's none.

She nods.

Without warning, I push my cock into her. She gasps at the unfamiliar sensation, and I freeze.

Fuck, she's so fucking tight.

"Do you want me to stop?" I ask, my voice strained with both concern and pleasure.

She shakes her head, though her brows are deeply furrowed.

I kiss her forehead as I bury my cock all the way in and begin thrusting slowly, in and out of her. "You like it like that?"

"Yeah," she whispers,

"Fuuuuck." It's not even ten seconds before I cum inside her.

I collapse onto her, planting another kiss on her forehead.

I love you, baby. Every bit of you.

General POV

Several days later.

As it's a workday, Ethan wakes up early and gets dressed. Making his way to the dining room, he finds Anna there.

"Your parents arrive today. I expect you to be gone before I get back from work," Ethan warns sternly before leaving the house.

Over the past couple of weeks, things have been blissful between Ethan and Elizabeth. They seem to grow deeply in love with each passing second.

Ethan believes that when Anna leaves, he and his beloved will grow even closer, and their love will be unstoppable.

Seated in the vehicle on his way to work, Ethan smiles to himself, his thoughts consumed by Spitfire.

Right at that moment, his phone begins to ring beside him, interrupting his train of thought.

Ethan picks up the phone from the seat and checks the caller ID before answering the call.

"Hey, Man," he grins, placing the phone to his ear.

"Ethan, my man. How's it going?" the caller, Ethan's best friend, asks.

"Just pushing through, Nathan," Ethan replies.

"I see. I hope you're treating my sister right."

The smile on Ethan's face fades at the question. "Your sister... Your sister's giving me trouble, Nathan."

Nathan bursts into laughter. "You know that's how she is. Anyway, take care. I'll be home this month. Don't tell her, it's a surprise."

"Okay, brother. Bye."

After the call ends, Ethan heaves a weary sigh, looking out through the tinted glass window, lost in thought.

____

Shortly after Ethan leaves the mansion for work, a convoy of vehicles makes its way into his estate.

Anna rushes outside with a grin plastered on her face. Upon seeing Ethan's parents, she rushes to their sides and hugs them one after the other.

"You look so lean. That bastard hasn't been treating you well, right?" Andrew Moore growls, frowning.

Anna puts on a downcast expression upon hearing his words, heaving a weary sigh.

"Is that girl inside?" Clara, Ethan's mom, inquires.

Anna nods.

"Rubbish," Ethan's dad growls, and they all make their way inside immediately.

Elizabeth vaguely hears the sound of vehicles from the bedroom, so she makes her way downstairs, giddy with the thought that Ethan might have returned, deciding to stay home with her today.

The man never ceases to amaze her.

However, the grin on her face immediately vanishes as soon as she steps into the living room. Standing right in the center are Ethan's parents as well as Anna.

Elizabeth staggers backward subconsciously at the sight. She can't help but wonder why the couple is here-Ethan's not home. After recovering herself, she nods gently. "Sir, Ma," she manages, forcing a small smile.

"If you're here to see Ethan, he's left for work. In fact, you just missed him-I can call him to-"

"I don't need your help in communicating with my son," Andrew Moore interjects sharply, causing Elizabeth's heart to skip a beat.

He and his wife take their seats silently.

"We're not here to see Ethan. We're here to see you, Elizabeth," Clara Moore breaks the silence.

'Oh, my,' Elizabeth exhales inaudibly. She knows she's in for a serious matter.

She has a rough idea of why Ethan's parents are here.

"Listen, young woman," Andrew begins sternly, his words cutting through the air like a sharp blade.

"My son can't be with you. There's only one person suitable for him, and it's Anna." His gaze flickers briefly to Anna, who offers a polite smile in return.

Elizabeth feels her heart splinter at the cruel dismissal.

"I don't care what you think you have with him," Andrew continues, his tone unyielding. "But you need to end it. There's no place for you in his life. You're an orphan with no status to speak of. Do you honestly believe you can be the Madam of ENQ Company?" He pauses, letting the weight of his words sink in.

"If that's what you're dreaming of, you need to wake up and face reality. You and Ethan don't belong together. I won't allow it. Not now, not ever. Even if he doesn't end up with Anna, he certainly won't end up with you."

"I'm willing to offer you anything," Andrew offers, his voice calm yet firm. "Money, a business of your own... anything. Just leave my son. Leave now, and promise to never contact him again. Disappear from his life completely. Do you understand?"

A single tear traces its path down Elizabeth's cheek as she clenches her fists by her sides.

Just when she thinks she has found happiness, it is cruelly snatched away.
