Chapter 115: News about his son
Gavriel’s POV
“Do we have to go home?”
That was the third time Camille had asked me that question. She stood by the bed I sat on, shoving a bra on reluctantly. We had spent the day as well as the entire night in the cabin by the beach. I loved it, I spent most of it wrapped up somehow in that addicting body of hers.
But while I loved spending all my hours with her, I had a lot of things to deal with. First, we had two days’ worth of work piled up already. Second, I had to get rid of the silly rumor Victoria was spreading around, that we were back together.
I would rather drink a bottle of pure cyanide than have anything to do with her. But of course, the media couldn’t know that. A simple way to discard the rumor would be to introduce to them another woman with whom I was in a deep relationship.
Camille. But I had to tell Caldwell first and I doubted he would be fine with our relationship. Besides I wasn’t sure Camille wanted us to go public yet.
Or at all.
Damn, it was getting all messy and complicated.
“Help me with my bra please?” Camille’s cheery voice filled my head. I looked up to see her delectable back turned towards me. I had ordered her a couple of underwear and some dresses the day before.
Maybe I shouldn’t have ordered something so fucking sexy. One of them was a silver thong and Camille’s favorite. She had gushed over it the minute she found it. She wore it now and the fabric played hide and seek between her ass cheeks.
Skimming my hand over her soft supple skin, I tried to clamp down the excitement that thrummed through my veins and fix her bra clasp. When she turned to face me, I had the mad urge to undo the damned clasp. The bra cups were a silver lace that matched the thing and they barely covered her pretty boobs.
“We could just stay for a little while more,” she purred, standing between my legs. Even though I was sitting, her tits were directly in my line of sight, and without thinking I pawed at the bra and they spilled.
“Yes!” The little vixen cheered, weaving her hands through my hair. She had been tempting me to touch her.
“We have to go home today, Camille,” I murmured, cupping her breasts and taking them in my mouth. Soft, warm, supple.
Camille was a danger I eagerly welcomed.
“Yes sir,” She panted, pushing her tits against my face. “Maybe after you’ve fucked my tits?”
I gave in to her obvious temptation and we found ourselves leaving the cabin that night instead. Another entire day gone.
And yet I didn’t regret it.
After dropping her off at Megan’s, Because she had told her father that was where she had been, I drove myself home. When I reached the gate, there was another car parked off by the side and some woman in a father ugly hat, arguing with my security guard.
I stepped out to see what was happening when I heard a familiar nasty voice.
“Let me in, this instant, you imbecile! I assure you, I’ll get you fired. Just you wait!” She yelled at the glass that separated her from the security guard inside the guard house.
My guard merely stared at her as she threw a fit. Good. I turned around to slip back into my vehicle when she noticed I was there.
“Oh thank God! Where have you been?” Victoria gushed rushing towards me, her eyes wide. “You weren’t at work. You weren’t at home either. I was starting to get worried.”
I laughed harshly, glancing around. “Someone is recording your antics, isn’t it?”
She pursed her lips into a firm line then straightened. “There’s no need to be such a sour puss every time we meet Gavriel.”
“There’s a remedy to that,” I replied. “We don’t meet at all. That works fine for me.”
“Now come on,” she drawled in her sadistic, cruel time. “How am I supposed to win your heart when we rarely meet? I can’t allow that to happen.”
“We’ll see,” I fumed about storming off when she reached out and grabbed my arm. I yanked her hands off me impulsively. “I told you not to fucking touch me!”
Her eyes were wide in shock but she blinked rapidly hiding it under a scoff. “You’re being impossible. What? Just because you rose through the ranks and are some billionaire, you’ve forgotten all about your origin? Your company back then couldn’t afford us a proper dinner!”
And yet I worked my ass off. For our family. I worked to give you every fancy nonsense she wanted. I pressed my lips in a firm line. She wasn’t worth it. Not one bit. So I yanked my car door open and got ready to slip in when she yelled, possibly as a last resort.
“What about Nolan huh?! When was the last time you heard from him? Have you shut him out as you shut me out?! Huh?!”
I ignored her and turned on the engine, driving through the gates. Victoria, quite desperate, tried to follow my car in, but the guards hauled her out.
Once I was in my bedroom, I yanked out my phone, anxiety pulsing through me. Why had she spoken about Nolan like that? I had my son watch constantly, surely if there was something wrong, I would be notified. I dialed a number then, counting the seconds until the call went through.
“Hello?” A deep voice reached my ears.
“Where’s my son?”
“I sent you the report on him last month, sir. He’s in college.”
“No, I want to know where he is exactly. I want details. What’s going on in his life? Check with Dr Peterson too. If it’s something as small as a fucking itch, I want it reported.” I hissed.
“Noted, sir.”
I ended the call and stepped into the shower. My shoulders relaxed as the water cascaded down my body. Nolan was the one chink in my armor. Victoria was aware of that. I loved my son and the bitch was going to try and exploit that love, like she always did.
What on earth was I supposed to do now?
I groaned, scrubbing my hair, trying to think about something else.
Camille. Think about Camille. She was the one sole person in my life who made sense. She was my world. And if I had to keep her apart from Victoria and these fucking shenanigans, then hell yes I would.
The next morning, I had a quick breakfast, freshened up and made my way to work. When I stepped out of the elevator, there was no Camille at the secretary’s desk. She probably just hadn’t arrived yet. I walked into my office then , dropped my suitcase on the desk when a single rose flower caught my attention.
I picked it up, a small smile tugging at my lips. “Hello kitten,”
Her arms wrapped around me from behind as she giggled. “Hi. I thought I’d do something nice to you know, apologize.”
I turned around, a brow arched, taunting her. “And you got me flowers?”
She blushed, snatching the rose from my fingers. Her golden hair was curled in wild ringlets and then tied in a ponytail. It looked beautiful.
All of her was beautiful.
“What? Men deserve flowers too! I’ll take it if you don’t want it.”
“Hand it over,” I chuckled, stretching a hand out. “It’s my rose not yours.”
“Well you made a face when you got it, so I’m keeping it,” she scoffed.
I snatched the rose back, holding it high up, watching in amusement as she struggled to reach for the flower.
“Silly girl,” I murmured, cupping her jaw so I could kiss her. She leaned into me, our lips melding perfectly. A sigh escaped her when I teased her lips apart with my tongue and found hers. After a long while we pulled away breathing heavily.
Her eyes locked onto mine, the brightness of her smile softening the lines of her face.
“I missed you yesterday” she whispered,
I wrapped an arm around her waist, my hand sliding down her back, pulling her closer to me. “I missed you too-”
My phone buzzed with an incoming call. I fished it out of my pocket and found the name of my private investigator flashed across the screen.
I placed a kiss on Camille’s forehead and mumbled. “I have to take this. Can you sort out today’s schedule?”
“Sure,” she said cheerily, snatching the rose from my hands much to my surprise and ran off.
“I’ll deal with you later,” I chuckled, watching her ass jiggle until she stepped out of my office. Slipping on a blank face, I picked the call.
“Mr Donovan, I have news on your son. You might want to sit down for this.”
