Chapter 529: What you go to do with a light bulb

One year later.

A lot had happened in that year.

Aidan Green, Margarita Baron, and Fredrick, with my indictment, had each paid the appropriate price for what they had done.

And my sister-in-law, agreed to get clean, only to go back and forth and into rehab a few times before she actually got clean.

Both the C. N Group and the Charlie Group, had a long standing relationship with the Lora Group.

But Nathanael's father and the people in the the Lora family knew in their hearts that it wasn't directed at them, much less the Lora Group, but because of Nathanael.

No matter what, Nathanael was a member of the Lora family.

Even if he is gone, it is good that the people of the Lora family can be a little grateful to him and always remember him.

That's all we can do for him, much less.

...

Melody and Craig decided to get engaged and chose to have their engagement party at a hotel owned by the Charlie Group.

It was thrown with much fanfare, but, again, Melody had some regrets because, Nathanael couldn't make it.

On the night of Melody's engagement, she didn't go home with Craig, instead, she relied on me and went back to The Baron family's old house with me.

We talked a lot about the old days, and at the end of the day, she said, "Actually, it's only in the past year that I've come to realize that that ending, for Nathanael, is probably the best place to be."

I understood what she meant, but didn't answer.

She spoke again, as if advising me, and herself, "Those who are alive, should let go, in order to live well."

Yes, those who are alive should live well.

Living well is the best way to honor the memory of those who have passed away.

"Got it."

I got up from the bed in the guest room, threw a pillow on top of her and smiled, "Go to sleep, my husband is waiting for me."

Myron Baron and I got our license first two months ago.

As for the wedding and all these processes, we all tacitly agreed that we wanted to wait until after Nathanael's one-year anniversary.

Melody and Craig also did the same thing, a month ago, Nathanael's first anniversary passed, they just started planning the engagement party. Myron Baron and I, on the other hand, hadn't made time for it yet because we were each so busy in the second half of the year.

She rolled her eyes in dismay and held out her finger with the ring to show me, "You're great for having a husband, I still have a fiancé!"

"Yes, yes, yes, you have a fiancé, you're amazing."

I smiled helplessly and raised my steps to walk out of the guest room.

As soon as I opened the door, I saw the man with his back to me, standing at the parapet, slightly hanging his head and looking at the downstairs, he heard the sound of the door opening and also turned over, looking at me with a gentle expression.

"Hubby."

I called out, closing the door to my room with my backhand, shuffling into his arms with my slippers, hooking my arms around his neck and muttering, "You still owe me a wedding."

"Well, I remember."

He scooped me up in a cross body and strutted toward the room, "I owe you more than a wedding."

I was thrown onto the soft queen size bed in my bedroom and got up in a daze, "What else?"

"Sleep."

He held me down on the bed and wrapped his arms around me to keep me from moving, "You'll find out tomorrow when you get up."

"There's no such thing as you." I couldn't help but smack my lips, "I won't be able to sleep tonight if you don't tell me."

"Then don't sleep, watch me sleep."

When he said that, he closed his eyes, his long eyelashes covering down, leaving a shadow.

His entire features, in the dim light, were less harsh and cold, and more soft.

I looked at him in frustration and muttered, burrowing into his arms and hugging his waist.

I said I couldn't sleep, but within a few moments, I drifted off to sleep.

The next day, early morning.

I woke up with the other side of the bed empty, and sat up from the bed, only to see a matching set of clothes on the couch at the end of the bed.

A t-shirt with wide leg jeans.

It was similar to what I usually wore on my days off, so I didn't think much of it and took it and slipped it on.

Changing the top on and reaching for the jeans, the two papers fell together on the carpet.

I put my pants on, bent down to pick up the documents, two, both equity transfer agreement.

I was puzzled to open it and read it, and I couldn't help but freeze.

Both copies I was the transferee, and the transferor, Myron Baron.

One was from the C. N Group, fifty percent of the shares.

One copy was from the Charlie Group, twenty percent of the shares.

I realized that the shares of Angela Charlie and the minority shareholders were acquired by Myron Baron.

He had done a lot for me behind my back.

"Yorlien, have breakfast, we should get going after that."

The door to the room was opened and Myron Baron's low voice came in.

I tilted my head back as I tucked the hem of my t-shirt into my pants and smiled abruptly.

He was wearing a t-shirt in the same color as mine and a simple pair of jeans as well.

At first glance, it looked like a couple's outfit with me.

Reminds me of the day we last went to get our license, I just hitched him up in an extremely casual outfit that was completely different from his usual style.

Just like today.

I put the papers in my hands on the desktop before running over to him barefoot and jumping towards him with a hook around his neck, "Where are we going today?"

He subconsciously bent over and caught me, hooking my legs . He bent down, caught me, hooked my legs, and kissed my lips, "The Charlie Group and C. N are collaborating on a trial run of the amusement park today, let's go and have a look."

the Charlie Group and C. N Group cooperated on an amusement park project in N City, which was just recently completed.

In fact, it would have taken two or three years to complete a large amusement park anyhow, but the Charlie Group stepped in halfway, and by the time of the partnership, the C. N Group had already started the project.

I originally disagreed, but Myron Baron didn't know what he was thinking, and said that he wanted me to agree, so I had no choice but to simply go along with him.

"Fine."

I nodded my head in a hurry and looked at the two documents again, "But you have to tell me what's going on with those two documents first?"

"Documents?"

He hooked his lips and walked out of the room with me in his arms, "The documents will wait until we get back tonight."

"You can't talk about it now?"

"Can't."

I looked at him resignedly, "Okay then, mysterious."

We went downstairs for breakfast together and Melody was still there, chasing the two little ones around the living room.

Andy had the day off from kindergarten and was home for the rest of the day as well.

While eating breakfast, I drank milk while talking to Melody and the two little ones, "Today we the Charlie Group and C. N cooperated in the trial opening of the playground, we ..."

"You guys? You and Myron Baron are going right?"

Melody interrupted in a huff before the two little ones could respond.

I didn't get what she meant but nodded anyway, "Yeah, planning on taking Andy and Isabelle ..."

"What are you taking two kids for? It's not like they can play those programs, they're not going, you and Myron Baron can just go." Melody finished and exchanged a look with Myron Baron.

I was on cloud nine, "Those two kids ..."

"Mommy I want to go!"

"I want to go too!"

Andy and Isabelle said one after the other.

Melody patted Andy's head and leaned over to whisper in his ear.

Only to see, Andy suddenly realized on the spot, his obsidian-like eyes dripped and shook his head fiercely, "I'm not going, the teacher told us that we have to do crafts at home on the weekend!"

"Brother!"

Isabelle looked at him incredulously, her watery eyes full of accusation, as if she was looking at a traitor.

Who expected, Andy like did not see her dissatisfaction, but also gripped her just playful just now has messed into a chicken nest of hair, "you also do not go, good ah, mom and dad date, you go to do what light bulb?"
