Chapter 74: Chapter 74 - She Accepted the Role of a Luna!

A complete scent of festivity surrounded the entire town of the Dark Moon Pack.

Even Blake who was heartbroken has completely fallen to the festive mood of everyone. With Elaine by his side, Elaine did her best in cheering up Blake the entire day.

Both Blake and Elaine were in an elevated area where it overlooked the other space of the Plaza. As they both spent time together, Blake started to realize something that he has never seen with Elaine.

Blake kept his sight at the scene of people enjoying the different game booths and the crowd enjoying the music while trying to finish the ice cream he is holding.

"Hey, is that Louve and Alpha Connor?" Blake started to point towards the direction of Alpha Connor and Louve.

Elaine looked around where Blake was pointing.

They saw the couple dancing along with the beat of the drummers and claps of the audience.

A first time scene that they have never imagined. Alpha Connor genuinely enjoys the moment with Louve.

Alpha Connor and Louve were both panting after their dancing scene with the other townsfolk and members of the Dark Moon Pack.

"I did not expect you could dance like that!" Louve said to Alpha Connor while catching her breath.

Alpha Connor only smiled while Louve was hugging him. Brought by so much fun and enjoyment, Louve unintentionally hugged Alpha Connor.

"All I did was just jump around with you and have fun. I feel like an idiot moving around and I was laughing at the sight of me moving around like that like a big oaf." Alpha Connor hugged Louve back while telling her how silly he was during their dance session.

"No, you were great! And handsome.  You are more handsome when you smile and enjoy your life like that." Louve looked up at the face of Alpha Connor.

"You really make me happy, Louve! Will you promise me that whatever happens in the future... you will stay by my side?" Alpha Connor asked Louve.

A moment of silence between the two as Louve looked deeply in Alpha Connor's eyes. While they held each other closely.

Despite the people doing their own stuff and not paying attention to them. There were noise of laughter, chatters and a mixture of musical instruments being played which gave additional flavor to the festive mood around.

"Yes, I promise!" Louve promised.

Louve reached for a kiss.

One surprise after another.

Suddenly, people cheered at Alpha Connor and Louve kissing.

It was too difficult not to pay attention when their Alpha is kissing someone whom everyone also adored. A joyous moment for everyone.

Before midnight, Alpha Connor instructed everyone to proceed to his lake house for the 'Lighting of Lantern' program of their festivity.

Each townsfolk and member of the Dark Moon Pack arrive one by one to the location of the lake house. By the edge of the shore of the lake, there are colorful lanterns with attached lighter that will be used to light each lantern.

"Everyone! I want all of you to grab a lantern and start lightning. But do not let it go yet, because all of you will make one wish first upon lighting and all of you must wait for my signal before letting go." Alpha Connor instructed everyone loudly.

Beside him was Louve who was holding her own lantern.

"Why don't you get a lantern? Are you not gonna wish for something?" Louve asked Alpha Connor.

Her handsome mate just smiled and answered her question, "There is nothing else to ask for. I have everything I need in front of me. I am already looking at my present and future."

Louve looked at Alpha Connor trying to pretend that she is not affected by his words.

But deep inside, she was truly moved and a fluttering feeling was taking over Louve's emotions.

"Ahem! You still need to wish because there are things in life that you have no control of. So, it is only right that you keep asking our creator for anything because if you don't ask anything, you may lose what you have now." Louve explained to Alpha Connor the importance of prayers and wishes despite self-contentment.

"I dare him to take away what I have! I will scour the heavens and the earth to bring you back to my side. Nothing in this world will make me lose you." Alpha Connor confidently said to Louve his own thoughts.

Alpha Connor tried to hold Louve closer to him. Because of it, Louve dropped the lantern as Alpha Connor tried to kiss her.

"Ahem! Ahem! Hey, two love birds! You have not announced everything yet and here you are publicly displaying your affection. Can we finish this event first?" Andrew reminded his Alpha through the mind-link.

Those who were nearby Alpha Connor and Louve may have seen the two become affectionate towards each other but they were more focused on their own stuff than being concerned with how the two were acting towards each other.

"Can we just start wishing? I will let you share my lantern. So I am forcing you to make your own wish." Louve gave orders to the Alpha Connor which he responded with a sweet smile.

Alpha Connor watched Louve close her eyes before he closed his eyes too.

For a moment, everything became silent...

A solemn silence from everyone making their own wish. This was a meaningful night filled with solace and hope.

Under the bright moon, there were lantern lights of lantern all over the shore of the lake.

"Now, everyone prepare your lanterns, in my signal... When I count to three, everyone must let go of their respective lantern." Alpha Connor instructed everyone.

"One, two... three!" Exclaimed loudly by Alpha Connor.

One by one, lanterns floated in the air.

With the soothing breeze of the wind, it directed each lantern to float higher.

It was a night to remember, such a spectacular sight to behold.

Louve hugged Alpha Connor and rested her head to his chest.

"What did you wish for?" Alpha Connor casually asked Louve.

Immediately she responded, "I will leave you if I tell you..."

A hint of teasing in her voice as she smiled at her mate.

"No, you won't leave me. I am already too deeply engraved in your heart." Confidently expressed by Alpha Connor.

"Ha, excuse me!" Louve hit Alpha Connor's chest.

Alpha Connor trying to block Louve's hands, "Isn't it true?"

Only silence and glares from Louve was her reply from Alpha Connor's words.

"Fine! Fine! I will stop teasing you... I forgot how short-tempered you can be! But do you want to know what my wish was?" Alpha Connor gave up teasing his mate.

"Okay, what was your wish?"

"You know, you are unfair sometimes. You want to know mine but you won't tell yours." Alpha Connor said to her.

"For your information, our difference is... you are voluntarily offering!"

Alpha Connor smiled at the sight of his fuming mate.

"Okay, my wish was... to be with you until eternity! You and I... forever!" Alpha Connor confessed as he gently touched Louve's face.

Louve smiled and held Alpha Connor's warm hands.

"Let's wrap up this event already..." Louve reminded Alpha Connor.

Once again, Alpha Connor started to get the attention of everyone.

"I want the attention of everyone!" Alpha Connor communicated all members of the Dark Moon Pack through mind-link.

"As I said earlier that there will be an important announcement, so let me present to you all, Louve."

Louve stepped forward and cleared her throat.

"Everyone... I want to tell you that..." She looked at Alpha Connor's face before she continued, "I am the mate of your Alpha and I accept the role of a Luna in the Dark Moon Pack!"

Everyone cheered after Louve announced that she is the mate of Alpha Connor and their Luna. Each member of the Dark Moon Pack greeted her and welcomed the fact of her being their Luna.

Alpha Connor was holding Louve close to him as they shook the hands of each member of their pack and townsfolk that are congratulating them both.

Now everyone understands more and becomes clearer for the purpose of suddenly declaring a new holiday in their pack.

It was indeed a joyous moment for everyone...

Unfortunately, the arrival of Magnus will change it all.

Somewhere near the borders of the Dark Moon Pack, Magnus is sprinting in his wolf form with Caleb and his own army of rogue werewolves.

"We are almost there!" Magnus informed others through mind-link.
