Chapter 163 Laying It All Out

Chapter 163 Laying It All Out

Tali

Simion locked eyes with me, “Perhaps now, you should pick up there, and let us know what it is that you read.” I nodded.

“Those papers talked about contracts, and there was some stuff about payments, reports of progress, and methods of conditioning. That was as far as I got because that was my breaking point. I felt I needed to keep it together, so I purposefully read no more than that. Those papers are with our belongings that we returned with.”

“I will go and get them so that way we can take a look all together and try to piece together what we need to.” With that Blaklalor came over, kissed my forehead, and walked out of the room, Zahaine went with him.

It didn’t take them long to be back with the few bags that we had taken when we had left here to go to Ruguruu. They found mine easily enough and then brought it to me. I opened it and found the papers where I had put them, right there on top. I handed them to Simion, and then he sat and read them, looking over everything. Meliyan sat beside him and he was also combing through the information.

They both looked at each other, their faces growing in anger as they continued to read, so it was obviously bad, but I had already guessed that just from who it was about. By the time they finished, they were fuming. They set the papers aside and looked at all of us.

“Okay, according to those papers, which I have no clue why in a million years we found them where we did, the council never lost you. They knew who you were with, they knew that your mother was not your biological mother, and they helped keep that quiet. They had actually coordinated for Paul to take you and do experiments on you, as well as abuse you. They had hoped to be able to turn you into a weapon to actually fight for them.

I nodded, “Gia had said something similar to that the 1st time I met her.”

“Well, when that didn’t work, they had Anthony take you and keep doing different things attempting to break you or get you out of the way. He reported that your healing had kicked in, which is why he conducted all those experiments on you. He was following their orders as they attempted to break you.” He was gritting his teeth and his hands were curled into fists.

“Gabriel had said that all of that was arranged.” I saw them nod.

“They are not human Tali, it doesn’t say what they are, and in the long run it doesn’t matter as they will be dead as soon as we find them, but they are not human.” I nodded.

“With learning everything else those fuckers had done, it doesn’t surprise me really.” I shrugged, attempting to convey nonchalance, but I knew I missed it.

Meliyan piped in, “It’s amazing, all of this bullshit. They actually did think you would help with repopulating the protectors, but you were right in that they had planned to breed an army out of you, and you as a person didn’t even matter to them. They saw you as a commodity and a tool to use nothing more. It was Gabriel who convinced them to abandon you and said it was all proven to be worthless, as they put it.”

“Okay, let me see if I am fully understanding all of this. What happened to your mother?”

“Oh, well my real mother, Lilith’s daughter was killed, and my cousin Anna had a thing for Michael, and wanted him to choose her, and when that didn’t work, she took me and tried to make them into some fucked up family. When he never returned from the council, as Gabriel was determined to keep him at his side, she gave up and essentially wanted to get rid of me. The woman I thought was my mother, Anna, died when I was 8.”

“Well, I am pleased to hear this. So, then you were kept by Paul, who also continued to abuse you, and we now know that was at the direction of the council on Earth. When those experiments and treatment of you didn’t work as they had hoped they had another man, this Anthony Escarra, who was the leader of a trafficking organization, take you and try to break you, and he also did experiments on you.”

I took a deep breath, “Yeah, that's pretty much it.”

“Do we happen to know where they are? Can we go there and kill them?” He was growling and I snuggled into him closer to help him calm down, and me as well, I hoped it helped me as well.

He wrapped his arms around me tighter, “They will die love, one way or another, I vow to you that they will die.” He kissed the side of my head and I gave him a bit of a wonky smile.

“That goes for all of us. If we have the chance we will end them, and we will drag it out as much as we possibly can. Even then however it will not be enough, it will never be enough to make up for what they did to you.”

By now I had actually wiped a few rogue tears from my cheeks. Meliyan came to sit closer and took my hand, “It doesn’t matter that this was all orchestrated. The fact was you beat them all. They treated you as a commodity and tried to use you. They had you hurt and abused in horrific ways. Still after all of that, here you are a beautiful woman, a wonderful mother, a fierce warrior, and the tamer of animals. You have killed them, the weapon they tried to create so they would wield it, has in fact, become the weapon that will utterly destroy all of them.”

I smiled at that, and he leaned in and kissed me. I let out a huge breath. Now, we just have to decide our next steps and implement them.
