Chapter 9
Amelia's pov
I woke up, my vision was blurry as I tried to look around. I noticed the strong muscular body beside me, its warmth keeping me comfortable.
For a moment I thought it was alpha Damien's body. My heart sank, my mood plummeting as I thought I was back at the castle. Then the familiar scent assaulted my nose. I breathe in deep, my heart calming down, my mood turning pleasant.
I nuzzled in closer, strong arms pulling me in, filling my body with warmth. A smile imperceptibly appeared on my face, my inner wolf resting peacefully, radiant energy exuding from her. We have never felt this much peace before.
I was happy, really happy; and I like the feeling. For the first time in my life, I feel loved and I felt like I wasn't just some useless piece of shit.
It still felt like a dream so I pinched myself, moaning in pain and giggling when I realized the stupidity of the action. So it wasn't a dream. It was real. I felt my eyes fill up with tears, but I held it back in. I wasn't going to cry, at least not today.
We both lay in the bed for some time, I and alpha Asher, just enjoying the warmth and basking in the peace and tranquillity. Then he shifted, looking down at me.
I looked up, staring into his emerald green eyes, they were like vast spaces of their own, housing nebulas within them. They were entrancing, bewitching. I felt myself melt into his arm, unable to stop the funny feeling in the pit of my stomach, unable to take my eyes away.
He leaned, gently kissing my forehead.
“Hello, beautiful. How was your night.”
His husky voice sent shivers down my spine, a tingling sensation running through my skin, it was electric. I sighed.
“It was peaceful and amazing.” I smiled.
“Amazing, yes but I don't know about peaceful. What about last night exactly was peaceful?” He smirked at me, green eyes staring at me in amusement.
I felt my face get hot and I blushed hard, memories of the previous night returning to me and running through my head and making my stomach flutter in a good way.
I became embarrassed so I buried my face in his chest, trying to shield my face from his view. I heard him chuckle. After calming down, I looked at him, stammering as I tried to explain.
“I–I didn't mean it like that, what I meant to say was that I felt peaceful after last night.”
“Hmm, I'll take that as praise?” he said and I found myself blushing again. Wow, I didn't think I would ever blush so much in my life. I felt like my face would be permanently hot.
I looked up at him, my heart melting when I met his gaze. I fill myself filled with a strange sort of confidence as I smiled at him.
“Well, I did most of the work didn't I?” I said smugly, his brows raising in surprise at my boldness. He went quiet for a while and I began to panic.
Had I been too straightforward? Would he get mad? Was he just like alpha Damien after all? But I found soon that my fears were unwarranted, I blushed profusely my innards tingling at his next sentence.
“Then let me make it up to you ma lady. Let me make you feel more pleasure than you've ever felt.” His voice was even lower than normal, his warm breath tingling my nose.
My heart fluttered, he just called me his lady. I knew I might have been reading too much into it, but I liked it. The wolf in me was already active, impatiently waiting for another hot mating session. I think I loved him.
I nodded, closing my eyes as he leaned in. Our lips met and we started kissing ferociously. This time was even hotter than last night. I had to do nothing at all. He pleased me in so many ways, making me cum so much that it felt like I just had a dosage of electric shock pills.
My body spasmed as he thrust in me, again and again filling me up. Our gasps and moans filled the cottage, my heart welling up as I made him cum multiple times.
We lay down on the bed again, resting till it was evening. This had to be the best day of my life, I never knew one could enjoy sex with someone else who wasn't their mate.
I enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere, but my mood plummeted at the thought that alpha Damien might find me and take me back with him.
Sensing my mood, alpha Asher nudged me.
“Hey, what's wrong?” He asked, green eyes turning soft as he gazed at me. I felt my mood change a bit.
“It's just that I've never been treated this well before. All my life, people always found different ways to let me know that I was a worthless piece of trash, a waste of space. You are the first person to have ever made me feel loved.”
His gaze flashed with various emotions, from anger to acceptance to love. He gazed at me, his hands cupping my cheeks as he swore.
“I'll always love you no matter what, you hear me? See,” He paused for a bit looking deep into my eyes before continuing,
“You probably don't know how precious you are to me and honestly, I don't expect you to. But I just want you to know that I've been with a lot of women, but none were like you. You drive me crazy in a good way. Please, come with me, let me be yours.”
I blushed profusely at his first sentence, blushing even harder after each other sentence. I felt my doubts rising, not daring to believe what I was hearing. Was it possible to love someone so much, not to mention if that person was me?
As if sensing my doubts, he kissed me deeply, looking into my eyes again.
“I don't ask you to believe me now, but I at least ask that you trust me, even if just a bit.”
I sighed, nodding my head.
He stood up from the bed as he began to dress. He looked back at me with a smile.
“Well, get dressed. I'm taking you home.”
Home, I felt panic set in at the mention of that word, it felt so foreign and strange, but then I braced myself, I decided I was going to see this through. I've seen the worst already and I don't think anything can be worse than that, right?
I smiled back at him, “Okay, let's go home.”
***
We arrived at the castle. I looked around, marveling at the site. Alpha Asher's castle was not as large as Alpha Damiens but it felt more like home. Alpha Damiens castle had felt more like a building that just houses people but I could feel the warmth in the atmosphere here.
The people in the castle were not as uptight as in Alpha Damien's and here, people treated me with respect.
I could see their gaze, and surprisingly, they were filled with praise and adoration. They were not scornful nor were they demeaning.
I felt warm like I was someone, someone that mattered. I walked through the compound, alpha Asher leading me. We strolled through the compound, hand in hand as I took the beautiful environment.
I was led into the castle, the maids hurrying me into the master bedroom to bathe me. They were gentle and nice, and for the first time since I was little, I felt like I had friends.
The bath was relieving. I felt even more tension leave my body, tension I didn't even know I was holding in.
I change into another dress before meeting with Alpha Asher again. He asked me to pick where I wanted to be my quarter. The request caught me off guard as I was used to just being told where to stay and after some delineation, I chose to stay in the bedroom adjacent to his.
It was also very large, with a king-size bed and massive curtains. It smelled like roses and lavender and I felt myself relax unwillingly.
I lay in the bed, memories of past events moving through my brain. If I was being honest, It still felt like a dream, like if I fell asleep for even a second, it would all turn out to be a lie and I'd be back to my nightmarish life.
I shook my head, grabbing a nearby pillow and hugging it as I tried to calm myself. I told myself that even if this was a dream, I'd make sure to enjoy it as much as possible before I woke up.
I felt myself falling asleep, the relaxing environment easing my body and pulling me into the deep embrace of the night.
As I fall asleep, I leave behind everything, my foster home, alpha Damien, my past. I leave it all behind, deciding to live in the present. I smiled as my eyes closed, I was finally home.
