Chapter 162: Happy Ending.
Chapter 162: Happy Ending.
…
As they walked through the mansion now overgrown with wild flowering plants, there was one more thing Alexander wanted to do. He led Ana beneath the shady tree where he had once made a promise to Ana’s biological mother.
How little Alexander had promised he would protect Ana — and now he was going to fulfill it.
“Hm? Aren’t we going back home? The road is that way, isn’t it?” Ana pointed toward the path they had come from, noticing Alexander was leading her somewhere else.
“Hm, there’s one more place I want to show you, baby…” Alexander said, making Ana curious.
They walked through grass that had grown quite tall, but the place was truly beautiful, covered in blooming climbing flowers.
Alexander stepped down the taller grass so Ana could walk comfortably.
“Wow…” “This tree is so big. It feels cool underneath…” Ana said, her eyes widening.
They had arrived beneath the large tree near the hill where Alexander’s small childhood hideout used to be.
Alexander closed his eyes, feeling the fresh breeze brush against him. He hadn’t returned to this residence in twenty years. So many precious memories had been buried under his revenge.
“Baby, do you know? Under this tree, I once made a promise to a woman…” Alexander whispered.
Ana, who had been admiring the scenery, immediately looked up, her brows knitting together.
“Huh? A promise to a woman? Who was she?” “I didn’t know you made a promise to another woman!” Ana snapped seriously.
Alexander chuckled softly.
“Are you jealous, baby? I haven’t even told you who she was…” he teased.
Ana didn’t answer, but her serious expression made her look adorable in his eyes.
“Alright… alright, I’ll stop teasing you.”
“That woman was your biological mother, Aunt Camelia. She was crying under this tree, and I came to comfort her…”
“Without realizing it, I promised that I would protect her baby. I would love her the way I loved my little sister, Anya…”
“And that baby was you — the woman who suddenly entered my life and shattered everything inside me.”
“Before you were even born, I had already promised to protect you. Doesn’t that sound incredible?”
Alexander smiled as he explained. His blue eyes sparkled, leaving Ana silent, her heart pounding hard.
Her hazel eyes widened, her breathing growing heavy as her love deepened even more.
“So…”
“I want to make that promise again. To you — my precious Ana, my luck, the one who gave me hope…”
His voice was as gentle as the breeze flowing through the branches, brushing against Ana’s hair.
Then, in front of her, Alexander knelt.
Under the shady tree and surrounded by wild blooming flowers, he took out a ring box from his pocket. Inside was a green diamond ring, the color resembling Ana’s eyes.
THUMP THUMP THUMP
Time seemed to stop.
As sunlight filtered through the leaves, Alexander’s soft voice reached Ana’s ears.
“Anastasya Rose — my woman, my life, my little witch — since the moment you entered my life, everything inside me has changed…”
“At first I didn’t understand and kept rejecting my feelings. But the more I denied them, the more I suffered… because my feelings for you were love, growing stronger every day.”
“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it to you every day — I love you, my Ana. I love you more than anything.”
“So… will you be my queen forever? Take my hand and stay with me for the rest of our lives? Be my partner… be my wife… be my woman forever?”
In this place, as if they were king and queen of their own world, with only nature as witness, Alexander proposed to Ana beneath the very tree where he had once made that promise.
Ana’s vision blurred with tears she could no longer hold back.
Being with Alexander had always felt like a dream.
The darkness and bitterness of her past had truly faded since he entered her life.
Looking at the ring, Ana smiled brightly. Tears rolled down her cheeks, making her look like a flower newly in bloom.
She nodded.
“Mmm…”
“I want to be your woman, to be your wife forever… Please love me for your whole life…”
Alexander was overwhelmed with happiness. He slipped the ring onto her finger and immediately stood up, pulling her into his arms.
He lifted her slightly as he hugged her.
In the very place where his life had once nearly ended, his happiness now began.
…
After some time…
After Alexander’s proposal, a grand wedding celebration was held.
Ana invited Gwen and the people she had once worked with at the mini market.
The wedding shocked everyone, because Alexander’s bride was not Camila Harold, but Anastasya Rose.
Wearing a breathtaking wedding gown, her hair styled elegantly, Ana walked toward the altar where Alexander waited.
A truly new life was waiting for her.
Alexander’s eyes grew moist when he saw the most beautiful bride of his life — the woman who would be his wife forever.
When he finally held her hand, their sacred vows echoed softly, and that day Anastasya Rose officially carried the name Kingston.
“I love you my Ana… my wife…” Alexander whispered before kissing her gently in front of everyone.
Ana accepted the kiss with a happy smile as white rose petals fell around them.
…
Happy ending…

Author’s Note
I’m sorry if there are many shortcomings in this novel. I really want to write a sequel about Ana and Alexander’s married life, and also Kai, Freddie, and Sin’s love stories — if this novel gets promoted.
Right now, it’s difficult for me to write a sequel because this novel hasn’t received promotion yet. 😭
Thank you to all of you who faithfully read my work. I’m very sorry if there are still many weaknesses and typos here and there, especially since English is not my native language, so it may feel stiff at times.
I’m sorry, and thank you.
(Oh btw, for those who are curious — Ana will major in law in college, because she wants to have the ability to protect her family with knowledge.)
Warm regards,
Anak Kost
