Chapter 191: Chapter One Hundred and Ninety-One

I sigh, looking up from my notebook. Evan is leaning against my door frame, looking annoyed and curious all at the same time. "Not that it's any of your business, but he went to take a shower." I say, looking back down at my notebook.

"Well, what are you doing in here then? I figured you would want to shower with him." He says.

"Why would you even think that?" I ask, making a disgusted face.

"You two do everything together right? You sleep in your bed together every night behind my back, lie to me together, kiss, hold hands, hang out with each other as much as you can and whatever else it is the two of you do. So, why wouldn't you shower together as well?" He asks, obviously trying to make me feel guilty for lying to him. The sad part is it's working. I have felt guilt since this whole thing started, but I knew he would react like this. Which is exactly why I made Keaton wait to tell him. I didn't want to deal with this crap. Maybe we should have just waited until we went to college to tell him. Maybe if we had done that, then he would be acting this way.

"Stop being a dick Evan. I already apologized for keeping this from you. You didn't accept it. So, that is your problem. Not mine." I say, trying to sound more tough than I currently feel. The truth is I hate when Evan is mad at me, but I hate it even more when he is disappointed in me. Right now, I honestly think he is more disappointed that I have been lying and keeping secrets from him, than he is mad at me.

Evan scoffs. "I didn't accept it, because we both know it was a fake ass apology. If you meant what you said, then you would have never done it in the first place or you would have at least told me what was going on a whole lot sooner."

"I didn't tell you, because I didn't want this to happen. I didn't want to deal with you being an asshole about my relationship with Keaton." I say, shaking my head at him.

Evan lets out a humorless laugh. "That worked out real nicely for you, didn't it?" He asks, being a sarcastic jerk.

"Fuck you, Evan. Why did you even come in here if you are just going to be a dick?"

Evan shrugs. "I just wanted to let you know Keaton is going to be staying in here with you now. I don't want him in my damn room anymore. So, I hope you really like being around him."

I scoff and roll my eyes. "Don't worry, I'm sure he doesn't want to stay in your room with you anymore either." I snap.

Keaton comes walking back to the room, squeezing past Evan who is still standing there blocking the door way.. He looks sexy as fuck with his just showered hair and those black ball shorts on. If I wasn't arguing with my dumb ass brother. "What's going on?" Keaton asks, looking from me to Evan and back to me.

"Evan was just telling me the good news." I say, smirking a little.

Keaton quirks an eyebrow at me. "What's that?" He asks hesitantly.

I glance over at Evan. He is staring at me with narrowed eyes, looking like he is ready to punch me. "Evan says you are staying in here with me from now on." I say, using an extremely chipper voice and smirking at Evan. Don't get me wrong, I am excited Keaton will be staying in here with me. That just means I get to spend more time with him, but I really just want to piss Evan off.

Keaton gives me an excited smile, nodding his head. "That sounds good to me. I love spending time with you." He says, sounding just as excited as I did a second ago, probably realizing what I am trying to do.

"Was there anything else you wanted to tell me?" I ask, looking at Evan with a quirked eyebrow.

Evan shakes his head, scoffing. "No."

I smile. "Okay. Well, mom said dinner will be ready soon. So, you might want to shower or whatever you need to do before dinner."

Evan doesn't say anything else. He just turns and walks away. The second we hear his door slam shut, Keaton looks at me. "Is everything okay? Did he say something stupid to you?" Keaton asks, obviously concerned.

I shake my head. "No, not really. He was just trying to make me feel guilty about our relationship." I say, shrugging. "You know, exactly what I was expecting him to say."

Keaton gives me a sympathetic smile. "I'm sorry baby." He says, pausing for a second. "Did it work?" He asks.

"Did what work?" I ask, a little confused.

Keaton comes back over to the bed and sits down beside me. "Did he make you feel guilty for having a relationship with me?"

"Honestly. Yes. I have been feeling guilty ever since we go together though. So, it's not just what he said. He was just trying to upset me." I say, looking over at him.

Keaton nods his head slowly. "I feel guilty too. I hated keeping it a secret from him."

I reach over and take his hand in mine. "We don't have to feel guilty anymore though. We told him the truth and he will either forgive us or he won't. There isn't really anything else we can do." I say, hating that it's the truth. At this point it is what it is though.

Keaton intertwines his fingers in mine, rubbing the back of my hand. "Let's hope he forgives us before we are too old to remember why he was mad at us to begin with." Keaton says, laughing softly.

I laugh. "Yeah. I hope so. It might be kind of awkward for the three of us to share a room at the nursing home if he is still pissed off at us."

Keaton laughs. "If he is still mad at us by time we are all in a nursing home, then we will just have to get over it, because he will never forgive us."

We both laugh and I lean over to give him a kiss. "It won't matter either way. I will be happy just having you in my life. I don't need Evan to forgive me."

Before he can say anything else, Mom yells from downstairs letting us know dinner is ready. "I guess we better go eat." I say, smiling over at him.

"Yeah baby, let's go." Keaton says, as he stands up, not letting go of my hand.

Keaton leads me downstairs to the dining room. Mom already has everything set up and waiting. Me and Keaton take our seats and Evan comes downstairs a few minutes later. "Can we eat?" Evan asks, looking at Mom.

Mom smiles. "Not yet, we are waiting on your dad." She says.

Great. Why does Dad have to join us for dinner tonight of all nights? I already know Evan is probably going to say something stupid and I don't feel like arguing with him about my relationship with Keaton in front of our dad.
