Chapter 85: EPILOGUE

SERA'S POV

After the war with the hunters, the vampires had started looking at me differently, treating me differently. Even Sigurd, my biggest hater, forced a smile at me from the other end of the large conference desk.

He wore a three-piece suit and an out-of-place pink tie that somehow trashed all the charm of his suit. Urrgh, I snorted slightly. I knew he had a weird dress sense, but what kind of idiot color bombs a pink tie on a black suit? Yeah—Sigurd.

I quickly masked my irritation, stretching my lips slightly curled in disgust in a fake smile at him when our eyes met.

Roman’s eyes lit up like a well-oiled lamp too and strayed to me from Adrian and Cassian, who leaned onto the conference tables, scribbling their signatures on the documents. The documents to make them one, one king, one kingdom.

Unlike Sigurd, Roman was eye candy. He had a future waiting for him in modeling if he chose to go for it, just like his brother Fabian.

Fabian sat bored, staring at his manicured nails. Strapped in a tight-fitting suit that matched his build, he looked like a sex god. He seemed to be less interested in the happenings in the room, like he was forced to be here. His eyes drifted over his nails, and they caught mine. He leaned interestedly on the table then, slanting me a wink, a naughty gleam seizing his eyes.

Urrgh, I grunted. The bastard was trying to flirt again. He could be a sex god. But I had my own sex gods already. I made him a sour face and nudged my chin towards Adrain and Cassian, who were still signing some documents.

“I could have them castrate you.” I mouthed to him across the table.

He grinned. “I would love for it too,” he mouthed back.

I grunted softly as I dragged my eyes from Fabian. I dropped my head on Adrian's shoulder as he was nearest to me, as if to tell him I was taken, like he doesn't already know that. I smiled up at Adrian’s face, which was equally smiling down at me.

After two months of making him take his life seriously and being less suicidal, he had begun to look less gaunt and more like a person in love with his life.

The muscles of his shoulder didn't feel as tender as I’d always known under my head. They were getting hard, just as he was growing some more weight on his body. He’d been hitting the gym too hard these days. He seemed obsessed with trying to look as macho and big as Cassian. I lifted my head from him and sat up, my smile slipping fast to a frown. I’d have to have him stop the gym. I liked him just the way he was. I had no idea why he still has to be insecure.

I nodded silently as the other vampires around the table slipped me warm smiles, their eyes telling me of their appreciation for making this happen—the official unification of the vampire race.

Adrian and Cassian had already agreed to share the throne, but I had to make them put it on paper so it couldn't be broken easily. I knew how volatile and unpredictable Cassian’s anger could get. Though I am still working on managing it.

The ceremony ended with a few final strokes of Cassian's pen, and the whole room rose to their feet. I realized then that I was just as bored with the whole proceedings as Fabian when I yawned.

Someone bumped my shoulders. I turned to see Sigurd behind me. “That's not so queenly of you, my queen.” He said. He was so stuck up that even though he was teasing me, he sounded like he was scolding me for a crime.

Now, I realized why Cassian must have chosen him as his assistant. They are both too stuck up. Even a priest could use some stuck-up lesson from them.

Before I could get my lips to part for a response, he’d taken off from the room. Back at the conference table, almost half of the room was gone. The rest were preparing to go, each throwing Cassian and Adrian a bow before they traced out of the room.

For someone who was bored, Fabian was the last to go. He winked at me and mouthed quietly. “Goodbye, my beautiful queen,” for me. I dared him with a cocked brow to say it out loud. Then he could get his castration as quickly as possible. Adrain might be lenient, but I trust Cassian to make a big deal out of it.

Fabian just gave me a knowing grin. He knew I was setting him up for doom. He tipped his hat at me, and then he traced from the room like a brush of air.

I turned to Adrian and Cassian. “Let's get out of here.” I said, yawning gently again. My words sounded like I was blowing them out of my mouth.

“Leave with Adrian. I have to oversee some things, Seralyn.”

I snatched his jacket before he could trace away. He was always too busy, always making work for himself where there is none. “Too bad, I need you now, Cassian,” I said, giving him a rather stiff smile.

“For what?” he asked quietly. “Can't Adrian answer to it before I come back?”

“I need the both of you for it.” I responded.

Adrian grinned with his lips, a spark lighting up his emerald eyes. He’d already picked up on the cue. Yet, he asked. “What task is that?”

“Making half-vampire, half-kitsune, and half-human babies. Or whatever biology dictates.”

Cassian's eyes gleamed. “I am always up for such tasks,” he growled with excitement. He swept me cleanly from the floor, and the three of us traced to his room. My sex tickled with excitement all the way, growing so wet, I had to rub my thighs together to keep back the heat. I was about to get another unimaginable pleasure from both my grooms, as I have been getting these past days.
