Chapter 184: Epilogue

Nora's POV

The air was thick with the scent of ash and blood, the ruins of Landon’s camp a testament to the battle that had claimed his life and shattered his plans for the Lunar Eclipse Festival.

Ethan’s victory, alongside Nelson’s survival, had cemented our alliance, but the war wasn’t over - Amanda’s rage, her alliance with Landon, still loomed, a shadow threatening my vengeance, my pack, and Sophia’s unborn child.

I stood on the mansion’s balcony, the moon high, my heart a battlefield of hate and hope, my wolf stirring as Ethan’s hand rested on my back, his touch grounding me.

My rebirth in Becky’s body was a secret I held tight, but the festival was tomorrow, and the truth - my truth - was a fire ready to burn.

A frantic knock shattered the silence, and Sophia burst in, her pregnant belly straining her dress, her eyes wide with terror, her jasmine scent laced with panic.

“Nora, please,” she begged, her voice breaking, tears streaming as she clutched my hands, her body trembling.

“Amanda - she’s coming for me, for my baby. Landon’s dead, but she won’t stop. I know what I did to you, but I need you - please, help me.”

Her words cut deep, stirring memories of her betrayal, Nelson’s affair, my lost child - but her fear, her vulnerability, mirrored my own self long ago.

I pulled away, my voice cold, my wolf snarling. “Why should I help you, Sophia?” I said, my eyes hard. “You took everything-my mate, my life. And you expect mercy now?”

Ethan’s hand tightened, sending a silent plea, but my rage burned, her guilt a fuel I’d longed for.

Sophia sank to her knees, sobbing, her hands on her belly.

“I’m sorry, Nora,” she whispered, her voice broken. “I was wrong, selfish. I can’t undo it, but my child - he’s innocent. Please, Nora, for him.”

Her desperation cracked something in me, my wolf whine, the memory of my own lost child softening my resolve. I nodded, my voice tight. “Fine,” I said, helping her up, my heart torn. “I’ll protect you, but this doesn’t erase what you did.”

The festival arrived, the pack gathered under the blood-red moon, tension thick as I stepped forward, Ethan at my side, Sophia hidden in the mansion’s guest wing.

I faced the council, with Amanda among them, her eyes blazing, her wolf poised to strike.

My voice rang out, clear and fierce, revealing Landon’s plot-his alliance with Amanda, Cassandra’s spell, their plan to steal power.

“Amanda betrayed us,” I declared, my gaze locked on hers, as her face pale. “She fed Landon our secrets, orchestrated Nelson’s ambush. She’s no ally - she’s a traitor.”

Gasps rippled through the crowd, Amanda’s snarl cut short as the moon glowed brighter, a divine pulse filling the air.

The Moon Goddess’s presence surged, her light searing through me, Becky’s body dissolving in a flash of pain and power.

I gasped, my true form - Nora’s form -returning, my dark hair spilling, as my wolf roared free.

The pack stared, stunned, Amanda frozen, her betrayal exposed, her power broken.

The Goddess’s voice echoed : “Your truth is restored, Nora. Lead with justice.”

Before I could react, a scream pierced the night - Sophia, staggering from the mansion, her face pale, blood staining her dress as she collapsed, labor seizing her.

I ran up to her with Ethan behind me, my heart racing as we carried her inside, the pack’s chaos fading.

She gripped my hand, her breath ragged, tears falling as she whispered, “Nora, I’m sorry - for everything. Forgive me, please. My son… love him, raise him. I can’t -” Her words cut off, as her body shuddered, and with a final gasp, she was gone, her son crying in my arms, a tiny life born amidst death.

My heart broke, guilt and love warring as I held the boy, Sophia’s plea, a weight I couldn’t deny.

Nelson’s death - news that came later, his wounds from Landon’s battle too severe - had shattered her, her labor triggered by grief, her death a price for our sins.

I wept, cradling her son, my hatred fading, replaced by a vow to honor her final wish.

The festival’s aftermath was quiet, the pack shaken.

Wolves of Riverdale Pack, hearing of Landon and Nelson’s deaths, withdrew from the tournament, his wolves retreating, leaving Ethan unchallenged as Lycan King.

I stood beside him, Sophia’s son in my arms, when Ethan pulled me aside, his eyes wide, his voice trembling. “Nora,” he said, his hand on my cheek, “the healer - she sensed it. You’re pregnant. Twins - our twins.”

Shock hit me, joy mingling with grief, my wolf howling, my hand resting on my belly, feeling the faint pulse of life -Ethan’s, mine, a future untainted by my past.

The festival’s chaos had ended, Amanda banished to a very far place by her father. Cassandra is spell broken, but this - this was hope, a new beginning.

MONTHS LATE4

I gave birth under a full moon, twins - a boy and a girl -healthy, strong, their cries a song of life as Ethan held me, his eyes glistening, his wolf free of the curse that had haunted him, his love a fire that burned away my pain.

He marked me, his teeth gentle on my neck, our bond sealed, eternal.

I named our twins Sophia and Steve, honoring my sister’s memory, her son now my own, and the man who’d saved me from my vengeance.

The pack thrived under Ethan’s rule, the forest quiet, the moon’s light a blessing.

I stood on the balcony, Sophia’s son asleep, my twins in their crib, Ethan’s arms around me, his warmth a promise as I smiled.

My past - Nora’s pain, Becky’s rage - was gone, replaced by love, by family. The Moon Goddess had given me a second chance, and I’d guard it fiercely.

I turned to Ethan, my eyes soft, my voice a whisper, the night calm around us. “We made it, Ethan,” I said, my hand on his, our twins’ breaths steady in the silence. “Through the war, the pain- it’s over.”

He kissed my forehead, his voice low, fierce with love. “It’s just beginning, Nora. Our family, our pack - it’s forever. Don’t ever doubt that.”

I smiled, my heart full, the moonlight warm. “I won’t,” I said, leaning into him, my wolf content.

“But don’t think I’ll go easy on you, Lycan King. Forever’s a long time, and I’m still me.”

I say as we both laughed.

Then we sealed our love with a kiss. 💋
