Chapter 127 Finally married❤️💍🎉
Chapter 127 Finally married❤️💍🎉
Alina:
“Don’t move.”
“I’m trying not to,” I murmured, even though my fingers had already curled slightly into the fabric resting over my lap.
Emma steadied my shoulders from behind, her hands gentle but firm enough to make me realize how tense I actually was. “You say that,” she said softly while adjusting the fall of my veil, “but your entire body is giving you away.”
I exhaled slowly and forced my shoulders to relax.
The room was filled with quiet movement. People walked in and out, the soft rustle of fabric and hushed voices blending into the background, yet none of it settled in my mind.
It all felt distant, as if I were sitting inside a moment that had not fully reached me yet. Everything felt like a slow dream, guess that happens when you finally get to marry the person you have loved this long?
I heaved a sigh and my gaze lifted to the mirror, and this time I took in all the details..
For a brief moment, I struggled to recognize myself.
The dress fit me perfectly, not too tight to make it hard for me to breathe, but enough to show all the curves of my body, giving my figure a beautiful look, shaping me into someone who looked far more composed than I actually felt. The embroidered crystals caught the light whenever I shifted even slightly, subtly creating the effect of haze.
My fingers moved unconsciously, brushing over the fabric at my waist before slowly lifting toward my hand.
Towards the crown ring.
My breath caught faintly.
The engagement ring still felt surreal, even after wearing it for days. I had looked at it countless times, yet it continued to tighten something deep in my chest every single time.
It was like….I hadn't taken my time enough to get used to it and then the wedding was happening already. I left a nervous chuckle.
In a few moments, there would be another beside it.
I swallowed, my throat suddenly dry.
“Alina.”
Emma’s voice drew me back.
I met her eyes through the mirror and did not try to hide the uncertainty this time.
“I feel like I’m about to do something huge,” I admitted quietly.
“You are,” she replied without hesitation, her lips holding a soft smile.
A nervous breath escaped me as my fingers pressed lightly together to stop the faint tremble building in them.
“What if something goes wrong?” I asked, stopping myself midway as the thought tried to spiral.
Emma leaned closer, placing her hands gently over mine.
“Look at me,” she said tenderly.
I did.
“You are not walking into something uncertain or forced,” she continued, her voice steady and confident. “You are walking toward someone who has already chosen you, again and again….fought so many battles for you that you still don't know of…he will be claiming you in front of the whole world too, knowing very well what will happen after. So, no need to worry about anything when you have a man like that on the other side of the aisle.”
I gulped and nodded like a child.
Kieran….he will become my husband today. He will be my protector for the rest of our lives!
The thought of him steadied something inside me almost instantly.
Even then, my chest ached slightly.
“Dad won’t let this go,” I said more quietly. “You know that.”
Emma’s expression softened, but she did not deny it.
“I know,” she replied. “But right now, he is not here. You need to focus on what's happening right now.”
Her grip tightened slightly.
“Kieran…focus on him only.”
My heartbeat shifted, not calmer, but I didn't argue further.
“Okay,” I whispered.
When the signal came from the door, I stood before I could think myself out of it. Emma adjusted my veil on my face, and took me towards the exit, we would be going from the road side to Kieran's huge backyard right behind his mansion. The ceremony would take place there.
The moment I stepped outside, my brows narrowed immediately.
“What is this?" I asked Emma who was smiling, looking admirably at the moon white carriage, with cute doors and windows, four lanterns around and with four white beautiful horses.
“Your carriage dear bride. Looks like your man loves to treat you like a princess.” She said proudly.
I chuckled, shaking my head.
“Who does that in this century? Seriously, he is so extra.” I patted my forehead and Emma laughed, taking me towards the carriage.
It was beautifully decorated with all moon white details, making me feel like a real life Disney princess.
I sat inside with Emma and that's when it clicked me.
“I used to love carriages in my childhood.” I looked at Emma.
“Huh?”
“Yeah! I just remembered that….I used to tell dad that I would be a happy bride and would ride a carriage.” My eyes blurred as my voice shook, remembering the exact scene.
“I never told this to Kieran though.” My voice turned into a whisper.
“Guess he heard you then. He’s trying hard to make it the best day for you Alina.” Emma rubbed my shoulder, soothing me.
“It is…. it's the best day of my life…ever!” I gripped my hands together, trying to calm my messed up nerves, it wasn't a good idea to break down just now.
I didn't realize when we reached our destination. It was like the whole journey went in collecting fragments of the past.
The moment I stepped out, everything around me shifted. My hands were trembling, my legs became jelly, if Emma didn't hold me at time, I would have put on a show by now.
We entered the huge backyard, covered in green grass and trimmed trees till far away like an emerald carpet, the entrance, the sitting area, dining section up to the aisle…everything was decorated and surrounded by lavender, lilies and roses.
Only a few of Kieran's close people were sitting there that I didn't know of, along with his whole security team and house staff. It would have been a beautiful venue altogether…only if my parents were here.
I could sense people around me, feel their presence lining the space, but none of it stayed long enough to matter.
Because I saw him.
Kieran stood at the end of the aisle, composed as always, dressed in pitch black up to his signature black gloves, his posture straight and unwavering. Yet there was something different about him today. His control was still there, but it was not distant. It felt contained, as if everything in him was being held back with deliberate effort.
And his eyes did not move.
Not even for a second.
They stayed fixed on me, making me too conscious all over.
My steps slowed without intention.
Each one felt heavier than the previous, my focus full on alert, making sure I didn't trip over the slight train of my dress. Emma held me tight as we walked together with a bouquet of lilies, my nails digging in the bouquet as I understood the weight of what I was walking into.
This was not just a ceremony.
This was everything we had fought for, everything we had risked, everything we had nearly lost….and everything we will be dealing afterwards.
By the time I reached him, my breathing had changed completely.
He looked at me as if he were trying to memorize every detail, as if even a blink might take something away from him.
“You…” he began, but stopped.
A small smile touched my lips despite everything.
“Yes. Me.”
Hoseok chuckled beside him, elbowing him while Vocenzo gave his first ever toothy smile.
Kieran's throat moved as he swallowed, and I noticed it, which only made something warm rise inside my chest. He was nervous!
The ceremony began.
Kieran’s pov:
I had planned everything carefully, ensuring that nothing would go wrong, that nothing would interrupt this day.
But none of that preparation mattered the moment I saw her.
When she stepped forward, something tightened in my chest so sharply that I had to steady my breathing without letting it show.
She looked absolutely beautiful, yes, but that was not what affected me the most.
It was the fact that she was here, walking toward me, choosing me despite everything that stood against us.
I followed every step she took, unable to look anywhere else.
For a brief moment, a thought crossed my mind that I had buried for too long.
This could still be taken away….my breath wavered.
My jaw tightened.
Not today! She chose me by herself! I'm her choice, her love! And nobody would come between us anymore.
When she finally stood in front of me, close enough for me to notice the rhythm of her breathing, I felt something settle inside me.
Relief…. something that I didn't feel all these years, no matter where I went, what I did and no matter how hard I tried. All it took for her was to dress like this, and say yes!!!
Then the ceremony started in a daze.
The officiant’s voice was in the background, I didn't even care to listen to what he was saying. He wasn't important anyway. No! He actually was important, how else would we get married then? Get it together Kieran!
The officiant was speaking, something about vows and union and witnesses, but the words barely registered. They felt like steps we had to take, not the moment itself.
“Do you, Kieran—”
“I do.”
I said before he could finish, absolutely sure and without hesitation. Hoseok snorted beside me, Emma chuckled, Vocenzo looked away. A few people reacted softly, but I didn’t look away from her to notice.
Her lips curved just slightly, the officiant cleared his throat and adjusted his tone, guiding us toward the vows.
“Your vows,” he said.
I let out a breath, then I reached for her hands.
“Alina,” I started.
“For most of my life, I’ve been careful about what I hold onto,” I continued, keeping my voice steady, not hiding behind anything this time. “I thought if I didn’t let things get too close, I wouldn’t have to deal with losing them.”
Her fingers tightened slightly.
“I convinced myself that distance was the safer choice for you. That if I stayed away from you, I could avoid… everything that comes with being with you, with loving you too much.”
I paused for a second, my face started heating up.
“But you didn’t leave me that option, either” I said, quieter now.
Her gaze didn’t waver.
“You didn’t force anything. You didn’t demand anything. You just… stayed in my heart for as long as I remember. Even after running far away from you ..I couldn't get away from your love, and then you decided to get back in my life. And somehow, that was enough to break every wall I had built around myself all these years…your love was stronger than anything else.”
A tear gathered in her eyes, and my eyes were no different than that.
“I was never afraid of loving you,” I admitted. “I was afraid of what would happen after. Of losing you the way I’ve lost everything else that mattered.”
Her grip on my hands steadied me more than anything else could have.
“But I get it now,” I went on, my voice lowering, just more certain. “Staying away from you doesn’t protect anything. It just leaves me with nothing.”
Her breath hitched softly.
“So I’m not standing here promising you a perfect life,” I said. “I can’t promise that nothing will go wrong, or that I won’t make mistakes.”
I shifted my hold on her hands slightly, my thumb brushing against her skin.
“But I can promise that I won’t walk away. Not when things get difficult, not when I’m afraid, not when it would be easier to step back.”
I held her gaze.
“I’m choosing you. Fully. And I’m not changing that for anything in the world…and I proudly announce you as mine today!.” I raised my voice for everyone to hear my last words. Alina's hands trembled more as a few sobs left her lips.
“Oh my goodness, that was a lot!” Emma fanned her face, delicately wiping her tears.
The officiant turned to Alina now.
“And you, Alina?”
She took a breath, steadying herself, and I watched every small movement, every shift in her expression with love struck eyes.
“Kieran,” she started, her voice softer, but clear.
“I don’t think I understood what love really meant until it became you.”
Something in my chest flipped at that.
“You were always there, even when you weren’t trying to be,” she continued. “Even when you pushed me away, even when you thought you were doing the right thing… I still found my way back to you…all this time being unaware of what I felt for you.”
Her fingers pressed into mine again.
“I used to think love was simple,” she said, a faint, almost self-aware smile touching her lips. “Something easy, something that just… worked on its own…something like the fairy tales I used to watch and read in the books.
I didn't know it was silent too, I never knew it was what I was experiencing all these years.”
She shook her head slightly, I wiped the diamond drop that left her left eye and caught it before it could fall down.
“But loving you isn’t easy, Kieran……. It’s stubborn. It’s complicated. And sometimes it hurts.”
Her voice trembled just a little, but she didn’t stop.
“And I wouldn’t change any of it….because on the other side of this journey, it's you! And every single tear, every pain, every suffering is worth it if I have you by the end of it!”
That landed somewhere deeper than I expected.
“I chose you before you chose me,” she said, looking straight at me now, no hesitation left. “And I would do it again.”
A tear slipped down her cheek again, but she didn’t wipe it away.
“And now that you’re standing here, choosing me the same way… I’m not scared anymore.”
I felt that.
“I don’t need everything to be perfect,” she said. “I just need you to stay with me forever.”
Her hand tightened around mine.
“And I know you will.”
The officiant nodded slightly.
“Damn!” Hoseok murmured, wiping the corner of his eye.
“The rings.” The officiant announced finally, after giving us a moment before continuing.
I reached into my pocket, pulling out the couple bands I had chosen for the both of us
For a second, I looked at her hand, at the engagement ring already resting there.
Then I took her hand again and slid the white gold wedding band beside it, slow enough to savour the moment, to feel it and to memorize every second of it.
“I’m not making a promise I might forget,” I said quietly. “I’m making a choice I’ve already made.”
Her breath caught softly.
“I’m yours. Not just today. Not just here. I’m yours, Alina, till death do us apart.”
She picked up my ring, her fingers slightly unsteady, but her gaze fixed.
When she slipped it onto my hand, she didn’t rush either.
“I don’t need forever explained to me,” she said softly. “I just need you to mean it.”
Her thumb brushed lightly against my hand.
“And you do.”
The officiant smiled, stepping back.
“You may seal your vows.”
I didn’t hesitate.
My hand came up to her face, holding her gently as I leaned in, she closed her eyes with a contented smile, our breaths fanned each other's faces, and I sealed our lips together.
She leaned into it, her hand coming up to rest against me, holding on just as much as I was.
Cheers and hooting erupted around us, fireworks boomed behind us in our favorite colors, pink and purple, creating a beautiful moment for the photographer and the viewers to save.
When I pulled back, I stayed close, my forehead resting lightly against hers for a brief second.
Only then did the venue come back into focus.
Hoseok broke the moment first, clapping loudly with zero restraint, shaking his head with a grin that said he had been waiting for this far too long.
“About time,” he muttered, not even trying to hide it.
Emma stood beside him, her eyes full, one hand still near her mouth as she smiled through it, the expression that came from relief more than anything else.
Vocenzo didn’t react loudly, but he gave a small nod, the kind that carried weight without needing words.
Even the guards looked different. Less rigid. Some of them exchanged glances, quiet approval passing between them.
For once, nothing felt tense….like I was a normal person, living a very normal life, marrying the love of my life …..but that wasn't true…. because I was still missing something important…..my parents…and their blessings.
When we returned to the mansion, everything felt different.
The decorations no longer looked like arrangements prepared for an event. They felt like something meant for us, something that carried the weight of what had just happened.
During the first dance, her hand rested in mine, her body close enough that I could feel her breathing slowly match mine.
“Stop staring,” she murmured with a shy smile.
“I can’t,” I replied honestly.
Hoseok, as expected, made no effort to stay quiet, whispering loudly to Emma about how he deserved credit for everything, while she tried to calm him down despite clearly enjoying the moment.
Vocenzo stood nearby, composed but relaxed, while Leo and the rest of the staff allowed themselves to celebrate with drinks and chatting.
Later, when the house grew quieter and we were finally alone, the stillness settled around us, but this time it was peaceful.
She sat at the edge of the bed, her fingers brushing lightly over the rings again, as if confirming they were real.
I walked toward her slowly.
“Are you still thinking about it all?” I asked.
“A little,” she admitted.
“I meant what I said,” I told her. “Nothing can break us apart now….I will handle your parents!”
“Our parents!”
“Yes,” I chuckled, “our parents.”
I lowered my hand slowly, then reached into my coat, pulling out the small box I had kept with me through everything.
Her attention shifted immediately.
“What is that?” she asked.
“My wedding gift, for you.” I replied.
Her brows lifted slightly. “You already gave me a ring.”
“This isn’t that,” I said, placing it in her hand.
Her fingers brushed against mine for a brief moment before she opened it, and I watched her expression change as she looked inside.
Her eyes widened with disbelief.
Her breath caught softly. “This…”
“Our childhood,” I finished for her.
Her fingers trembled slightly as she lifted it, her eyes tracing the small charm with care.
“You said you lost it,” she said, her voice quieter now.
“I did,” I replied. “I had it remade.”
She looked at it again, longer this time, and I could see it settle into her, not just as a gift, but as something that meant more than the moment itself.
“You remembered that?” she asked, her voice almost unsteady.
“I remember everything about you,” I confessed, and I did not need to think before saying it.
That was enough to break whatever she had been holding back.
She stepped forward without warning and wrapped her arms around me, holding onto me tightly as if everything she had kept inside all day finally needed somewhere to go.
I closed my arms around her just as firmly, my hand settling against her back, the other at her waist, keeping her exactly where she belonged.
“I love you,” she murmured to me.
My hold tightened slightly, I could hear these words for the rest of my life.
“I know,” I said, then more quietly, because she deserved to hear it clearly, “and I love you more than I ever allowed myself to admit.”
I lifted my hand to her cheek, brushing my thumb gently against her skin, grounding myself in the reality of her presence. And slowly, I diced into the sea of love and passion, losing myself into her completely, finally cherishing, celebrating what was mine, and she didn't hesitate at all!
