Chapter 7: Chapter – 7
Arav's POV
We are now on the way towards our house. Dad has gone in another car. In this car beside me sitting my newly wedded wife.
I was little shocked when I saw that she didn’t even shed a single tear while saying goodbye to her family.
Her mother was crying, advising her many things but she didn’t response. She was hearing this with the same neutral face which she has been giving since we arrived. Her father wasn’t crying as much as her mother but there was tears in his eyes. I have seen it. But strangely she didn’t.
I heard, no actually I have even seen on my cousin’s wedding, my cousin cried so much though she has married with her boyfriend. I heard every woman cry while leaving for their in-laws house after marriage for the first time… but strangely my wife didn’t.
I am not able to understand this woman. What is this woman's motive? Sometimes her expression says she didn’t want this marriage. Sometimes seeing her expression it’s look like she has no problem in this marriage. I am very confused about her intention.
Though she is only 18 but I think she is very smart. I need to be careful from her trap. She is definitely not as innocent as she look. I have a feeling that she has other motives. I have to be very careful.
Realizing that she is not as innocent as she looks. Dad is feeling very sad. He was thinking that he has ruined my life with his own hand. Don’t worry dad, I will not repeat the same mistake. I am feeling sad seeing dad like this, all this happened because of this woman beside me… huh! Who is now looking outside through the widow. She has no sorrow that she leave her father’s house. I didn’t understand doesn’t she feel sad seeing her parents tears? What kind of woman is she?
Huh! Who doesn’t care about her parents, and if that man said the truth then doesn’t care about her lover, then how can she be a nice person. I think she only care about money and status. Greedy woman! You just wait I will teach you a good lesson.
Third Person’s POV
All the car came to halt in front of a big mansion which is beautifully decorated with flowers.
Seeing all the decoration Arav was thinking that his mom has been happily decorating all this with the maids since yesterday to welcome the new daughter-in-law of the family. But she doesn’t know that this new daughter-in-law is more dangerous than her ex elder daughter-in-law. Arav was feeling bad thinking this.
Arav and Prisha both came out of the car. Seeing Prisha, Mrs. Malhotra (Aarti) was shocked. She looked at her husband with questing gaze.
Dhiraj came near Aarti and whispered beside her “ She is 18 . She looks like 15…16 but she is not.”
Aarti was still shocked, because her son is 32. She didn’t understand why her husband married off their son with such a young girl. But she can’t do anything now so shrugging all her thought with a warm smile on her face she welcome her daughter-in-law wholeheartedly.
Prisha was looking around very curiously with her big eyes. Seeing her Aarti smiled and then she suddenly thought of her dress. Prisha was wearing a white wedding gown. Seeing it Aarti got little confused, she looked at her husband and asked…
AARTI : why is she wearing this dress? Is she not from our religion?
DHIRAJ : She is. It’s a court marriage and she wanted to wear this. So her father allowed it and besides she doesn’t wear saree or lehenga's, she only wears gown or jeans, tops so she wore it today.
Dhiraj said with a very uninteresting expression while scrolling on his phone.
Aarti little confused seeing Dhiraj's so uninterested expression but she shrugged it again and looked at Prisha with a smile.
AARTI : Don’t worry dear, no problem. You can wear according to your comfort. There is no such rule in our house that you have to wear saree. You can wear whatever you want.
“Huuh! You don’t even try to impress my parents first wearing sarees and create a good impression like her…huh, I think you are a very vicious player… I have to be very careful. But I am feeling bad that my mom will be very hurt knowing the real greedy woman behind this innocent face”- Arav was thinking all these in his mind. His thoughts broken hearing his mom's voice.
AARTI : Arav beta (son), let’s go…you both have to perform some rituals.
Arav made an irritating face. He was sitting on a sofa, he got up and went towards the exit while saying to his mother “mom, I am not interested in any kind of ritual.” Aarti was calling him from behind but he didn’t listen.
DHIRAJ : Let him go…
Hearing Dhiraj's words Aarti shockingly locked at him.
DHIRAJ : They have a court marriage, so I don’t think there is any need of any ritual. So if he didn’t want to perform anything then don’t ask him.
Saying this Dhiraj went towards his bedroom.
Aarti was quite shocked hearing Dhiraj's words. She didn’t expect this kind of comment from him. She didn’t understand want has happened to him. She looked at Prisha who was quietly standing there looking at her, she was feeling bad for her. She smiled towards her apologetically. She took her to Aarav's room.
Arav's POV
I had gone to my regular place, the XYZ Hotel to spend the remaining day the way I spend but mom called me and asked me to come back.
I wanted to tell mom that I haven’t accepted this marriage and that woman isn’t as innocent as she looks. But something stopped me to say all this. I know how much my mom will be sad thinking that her younger son's life has also gotten ruined. I didn’t want to make her sad. I know dad will also not tell her anything because he also knows very well how much this information will affect her. So I didn’t tell her anything and came back home.
Entering the room I saw she is sitting on the bed and she is still on her wedding dress.
ARAV : Get up!
On my first command she got up from the bed like an obedient child and looked at me innocently.
Yes… this eyes… it looks so innocent but after seeing her lover today I now know how much innocent she is. I must say, she is a good actress. She should be in cinemas.
ARAV : listen woman… don’t think I will fall for your this innocent act. I will never… so you better not act in front of me.
She was looking at me as if she didn’t understand what I was saying.
Saying her all this, I went to washroom and after changing into my sleepwear, I came out of the washroom and see she is still standing at the same place.
Without caring about her, I laid down on the bed.
ARAV : listen… remember this is my room, so don’t touch anything. I don’t care where will you sleep or even sit, but remember Don’t. Touch. Anything. For that if you have to stand like this all night…then just stand Understood?
She meekly nodded her hear. Huh! I know this is all her act to show that she is so obedient to her husband… but I have already seen all this drama before so I will not fall for this.
I switched off the bed side lamp and closed my eyes for sleep.
Flashback END
I again flashed some water on my face… no no no this is not possible that she has been standing like that since last night.
But she was looking drowsy… she can act.. Yeah she must be acting. This is all her act. Yes this is all her act. I shouldn’t fall for her trap. No I won’t.
But what if it’s not a acting…what if she has been really standing like this since last night, just because I prohibited her to touch anything and stand like that.
Something is wrong… I have to be very careful. Either she is really very good at acting or… or there is something wrong with her. Arghhh!! I am so confused.
