Chapter: 44 (Her Fear)

Seher's POV:

" Ashi ma your phone is ringing " I yelled from the living room scrolling through Instagram on my phone she was in the kitchen. I came here in the afternoon because everyone went out of town to attend the wedding of some relatives. Mayank has some important meeting so he said we will leave tonight and he dropped me here before going to the office because he thought I might get bored at home alone. And I think he was right.

The phone was ringing continuously and stopped only to start ringing again. I picked the call as it was from the hospital. Before I could say anything a woman's voice beat me.

"Ma'am please come to the hospital immediately your patient Samar Chaudhry is missing now. Last night he came into his consciousness and we injected him with anesthesia as you told us but someone helped him to escape from the hospital please come as soon as possible," She said and cut the call.

My breath got stuck in my throat. I was shaking in fear his name was enough to scare the shit out of me. My whole body was shaking very badly.

"He... he... is... out... He was... not in prison... anymore" came out of my trembling lips and my vision blurred due to tears. "He will... take me... far... He... killed... mom" my broken voice came out. All the past vision flashed in front of my eyes.

"My God! Seher, what happened? Why are you shaking?" I heard her worried voice as she took steps towards me "Seher what happened to tell me?" She asked, holding my face but I was not able to form a sentence with my trembling lips. Tears were falling down my cheeks.

"Seher, tell me what happened?" This time she shouted, grabbing my attention and I looked at her. "Sa... Samar back... Hospital... He" my sentence died in my throat and my vision went black. "Seher" I heard her calling my name before darkness took over me.

"Seher open your eyes bacha(child)" Ashwini said, patting her cheeks but she was not opening her eyes. She took her to the room with the help of a butler and laid her down on the bed.

She held her wrist and checked her pulse and after examining her condition Ashwini gave her an injection that will help her to calm her panic state. She was being worried about her. The thing that happened is what she fears the most. Ashwini didn't want all these things to reach Seher. She thought she would handle him but it was not that easy.

After all, he still contacted her and this state is proving how scared she was. Despite all this she couldn't keep Seher away from him, he found her already.

She wiped Seher's tears which fell from the corner of her eyes. She was still shivering in her unconsciousness. Ashwini's phone started ringing so she went out of the room to attend the call.

As soon as Ashwini stepped out of the room. Seher started panicking more in her unconsciousness. She clutched the pillow beneath her head and suddenly she sat up with a jerk.

She looked around her surroundings and released a breath which she was holding for a long time. She was breathing heavily clutching her chest and those flashbacks were not leaving her mind. She clutched her hair in a tight fist and burst into tears.

On the other hand, Ashwini was talking with the nurse whom she hired to keep an eye on Samar. "What? How can he run away? He was supposed to be in the hospital then how can he escape from the hospital after all this tight security" she yelled at the nurse. "I don't know ma'am but we couldn't find him anywhere" the nurse answered hurriedly, being scared.

Seher was so scared that she was even afraid of being in her own house. She ran out of the house without informing anyone. After attending the call Ashwini came back into her room but couldn't find her. Panicked washed over her.

Seher was running on the vacant road aimlessly. She couldn't decide where she had to go? Suddenly a car stopped in front of her just before hitting her. She shouted at the top of her lungs hiding her face in fear as she fell to the ground.

The car door opened and Mayank came out of the car. "What are you doing here? Seher, that too in a vacant road" he asked coming towards her.

"What happened to you? My god, your hand, it's bleeding" he asked while his eyes widened seeing her hand she stumbled with something while running on the road and fell on the ground and got hurt.

"He... will... take... me... far... away.. he is... back" she manages to say between her hiccups. And that was enough for him to understand what exactly happened. "Nothing will happen to you okay, I won't let anyone harm you," he said cupping her cheeks. She was shivering in fear and her lips were trembling badly.

But she couldn't utter a single word with her trembling lips. She was not in a state to talk about anything. "I am here for you," he said softly, taking her in his embrace. She clutched his shirt in a tight fist they both stayed like this for a while. Her grip loosened on his shirt and he felt her body weight on him. He broke the hug and was shocked because she fainted again.

He picked her up in a bridal style and made her sit on the passenger seat and sprinkled some water on her face but she didn't open her eyes. Then his phone rang and he picked it up. "Hello, Mayank, Seher is nowhere to be found. She ran out of the house and... " he cut her in the middle. "Don't worry aunty. She is with me now" he said and she relieved a sigh.

"What happened aunty, how did she find out about him?" He questioned. "He escaped from the hospital, someone helped him. I already informed the police but he is still out of their reach" she said. "I will send my men to search for him. This time I won't leave him easily" he said through his gritted teeth.

"Is she okay?" she asked. "Her body was shivering. She is very scared" he said, looking back at her. "Please take care of her. Don't leave her alone. She needs your comfort" she said and he nodded. "You don't worry if anything happens I will inform you" saying this both hung up the call.

He sat on the driving seat and drove to his mansion. He was worried about her. She was on the verge of falling into depression again and he didn't want it. Tears rolled down on his cheeks unknowingly and he wiped them off with the back of his hand.

Thanks, di (sis)" Samar said to his elder sister Priya as he sat inside the car. She loved him like her child. Their parents died in a car accident when he was 15 and Priya was already married at that time so she has taken care of him since then. But when he did sin by killing Seher's mother she didn't save him and hide his sin instead she was the one who got him arrested. "Why are you hell-bent on destroying her life again Samar," she said angrily, turning towards him.

"You know di, I love her and she can't be with someone else. I even killed her mom. I didn't intend to kill her but she tried to separate her from me" he said irritatedly. "I spent five freaking years of my life in prison. Even after I succeeded in coming out of prison her aunt kept me in hospital by injecting me" he snarled. "If you would have waited two more years then you would be freed from prison by law" she reasoned but he didn't pay any heed to her.

"I would have waited but when I saw the news that Mayank came back to India and he is now married to my love, I just couldn't stay silent di. You know how much I love her and I can go to any extent to get her back in my life" he answered and pressured on the last line his eyes glued on her photo which he had on his phone.

"How can she just forget everything and move on that too with that jerk Mayank," he said through his gritted teeth. "She already suffered a lot, Samar, please leave her alone. She was your best friend" she tried to put some sense in his mind but he was in no mood to listen to her talk. She sighed and drove to their home.

"Just a little more wait, my love. We will meet soon" he exclaimed grinning devilishly.

Priya stopped the car abruptly as she saw the police outside of their house. "Di, you go inside and if they ask about me you will say that you don't know anything," he said and wore his cap hiding his face.

"Where are you going?" She asked when he was about to get out of the car. "I will stay out of their reach and don't worry about me I will call you when everything gets normal" he informed her and went out of the car and walked away hiding his face.
