Chapter 137 Steamy scan 2

The silence in the villa bedroom grew even thicker, punctuated only by the soft roar of the waves outside and their mingling breath. Evan's gaze remained locked on Rose's eyes, taking in every inch of the face belonging to the woman who was now officially his wife.

"Answer me, Rose," Evan whispered, his voice deepening. "You don't intend to ever leave me, do you?"

Rose looked closely at her husband's face. There was no trace left of the cold businessman in his eyes, only warmth and a profound sense of devotion. She reached up, her warming fingers tracing Evan's firm jawline.

"I never intend to leave, Evan," Rose answered softly yet firmly. "I'm yours."

A faint smile touched Evan's lips. He leaned down, resting his forehead against hers for a few moments before connecting his lips to Rose's once more. This time, the kiss held no hesitation. An outpouring of emotion and long-held longing finally spilled over completely.

Rose returned the kiss, tilting her head slightly and letting her fingers weave through the hair at the back of Evan's neck. Their breathing quickened, trading warmth as the night grew deeper.

"Evan..." Rose whispered faintly as his lips moved down her jawline to her neck.

"Yes, sweetheart?" Evan replied without breaking his touch.

"I... I love you."

Evan froze for a brief second. He lifted his head slightly, gazing at Rose with an intense spark in his eyes. "Say it again."

Rose smiled softly, holding her breath as Evan's thumb gently caressed her lower lip. "I love you, Evan."

Evan took a deep breath. He pressed a brief, meaningful kiss onto her lips. "And I am completely yours, Rose. Forever."

Evan pulled Rose back into his arms. The skin-on-skin contact sent a wave of warmth rushing through Rose's entire body. His palm traveled down her back, ensuring she felt safe and comfortable with every movement.

Rose let go of all control. She allowed her body and emotions to surrender to every touch, the warmth, and the rhythm Evan created. Any lingering awkwardness evaporated, replaced by absolute trust in the man above her.

Evan's heart beat wildly against Rose's chest. Soft sighs and short gasps echoed gently in the dimly lit room. The shadow of their joined figures reflected faintly on the wall, moving in harmony with the rhythm of the waves crashing against the cliff outside.

That night, on the bed covered in white sheets, the boundaries between them completely dissolved. Evan treated Rose with a blend of reverent tenderness and burning passion, while Rose met every moment with equal surrender and love.

When the height of their intimacy finally crested, Evan held Rose tightly, burying his face in the crook of her neck. Rose gripped Evan's broad shoulders, taking in the warm sensation enveloping them both.

A few moments passed. The room settled back into tranquility. Evan propped himself up, gently brushing away a few strands of hair clinging to Rose's damp forehead. He kissed her forehead tenderly.

"Thank you, Rose," Evan whispered sincerely.

Rose offered a weak smile, her eyes closed as she enjoyed the feel of Evan's hand on her cheek. "For what?"

"For everything," Evan said softly. "For accepting me."

Evan then lay down beside Rose, pulling her close to his chest. Rose rested her head on Evan's bare chest, listening to her husband's heartbeat as it gradually steadied.

She slid her legs between Evan's beneath the thick duvet, pressing her body close as if refusing to allow even the smallest distance between them.

"Are you tired?" Evan asked gently, stroking Rose's long hair spread across the pillow.

Rose shook her head lightly against his chest. "No... I just feel so peaceful."

Evan let out a soft laugh, the vibration of his chest brushing directly against Rose's cheek. He leaned down, resting his lips against her forehead for a long moment.

"Go to sleep," Evan said softly. "From tonight on, I will always be right here."

Rose closed her eyes, wrapping her arms tighter around Evan's waist. Held securely in her husband's arms, Rose finally drifted into a deep sleep, cradled by the quiet of a night that now belonged entirely to them.

"Good night, my husband," Rose whispered softly, just before sleep claimed her completely.

Rose tilted her head slightly, looking at Evan’s calm side profile under the dim glow of the lamp. Her thumb softly stroked the skin of his chest, taking in the warmth that slowly spread to her fingertips.

"Evan?" Rose called softly, breaking the lingering silence.

Evan hummed in response, shifting his gaze to look at Rose. His fingers never stopped their gentle caress on her bare shoulder, radiating a soothing comfort. "Hmm? What is it, sweetheart?"

"What if tomorrow... everything feels different?" Rose asked quietly, a trace of doubt lacing her voice.

Evan offered a faint smile. He turned onto his side, propping his head up with one hand to look into her eyes more comfortably. His other hand moved up to gently trace Rose’s lips, still soft and flushed from their earlier intensity.

"What could possibly change?" Evan asked back, his voice deep yet filled with profound tenderness.

"I'm just afraid that all of this is a dream," Rose admitted honestly, her eyes locking onto his. "I'm afraid that when I wake up tomorrow, you'll go back to being distant and unreachable."

Evan let out a soft laugh. He leaned down, pressing a tender kiss to the corner of her lips, as if brushing away the last remnants of her fear.

"You've seen everything tonight, Rose," Evan whispered against her lips. "I've given all of myself to you. There are no more secrets, no more walls."

Rose squeezed the duvet covering their chests, taking in every word her husband spoke.

"I will never change," Evan continued firmly. He laced his fingers through hers, gripping her hand tightly against the mattress. "Starting tonight, I am completely yours. Whether in this villa, in our home, or even back at the office."

Rose smiled, exhausted yet utterly happy as the lingering weight on her chest lifted completely. She brought Evan's hand up to her lips, pressing a soft kiss against his knuckles.

"Thank you, Evan," Rose murmured once more.

"You're welcome, my wife," Evan answered softly, resting his forehead against hers. "Now close your eyes. I'll still be right here when you wake up tomorrow."
