Chapter 4: Prepare to Take a Bath

The night was quiet and alluring. Not long after Julissa left, the phone next to Declan rang.

"It's me."

His indifferent voice was full of irresistible aggressiveness.

"Mr. Lloyd. Everything you ordered has been arranged and the person has been delivered safely."

"We must eliminate them within a month."

His cold words were full of aggressiveness. After Declan hung up the phone, he didn't know when he check the information about Julissa on the laptop.

Julissa came out of the study and went straight back to her room. The moment she closed the door, her heart beat very fast.

Julissa took a deep breath, but the face of Declan kept appearing in her mind, which made women feel hot.

His breathing, charm, and every word he said were enough to make a woman go crazy.

Declan was a person of supreme power in the world. He would never allow anyone to take advantage of the gap to threaten him. However, since he did not like Anna, why did he marry her? This was something that she could not figure out.

Julissa then shook her head. No matter what kind of person he was, Julissa had a clear target to gain his trust and steal the commercial secrets.

In the following days, Julissa was occupied with her work. Declan left early and returned late each day. However, upon his return, he always requested Julissa to prepare a cup of herbal tea and to stay by his side, even if it meant standing.

However, this was good for Julissa. At the very least, she was getting closer to gaining the trust of Declan.

Time passed quickly. She had been here for a week. Julissa approached Declan step by step. But she would become the enemy of another woman, Anna.

On this day, Julissa entered the study of Declan as usual.

"Your herbal tea, Mr. Lloyd."

Unexpectedly, she once again ruined the plan of Anna to kiss Mr. Lloyd. This time, Anna stomped her feet directly in front of Julissa.

"You're dedicated!"

The sarcastic words were as sharp as the eyes of Mrs. Lloyd. Julissa still smiled and said, "Thank you for your compliment, Mrs. Lloyd. This is what I should do."

Anna knew that she couldn't be too hasty to get Declan and couldn't show her fierce in front of him, so she glared at Julissa and left angrily.

Julissa handed the herbal tea to Mr. Lloyd. Before she could raise her head, she heard him giving orders.

"Prepare hot water. Bath."

It was a little early to take a shower, but Julissa nodded silently.

"Send this to the bath."

Looking at the herbal tea in her hand, Julissa nodded and left.

There was a special bath for Mr. Lloyd on the second floor.

Declan had a specific routine for enjoying his evenings. Unlike the simplicity of a morning swim, his nightly showers were an elaborate affair. He would set fresh fruits and fine wine by the poolside, play soft music, and illuminate the space with lights to create the perfect ambiance, ensuring that nothing disrupted the experience.

The water temperature was kept constant at 113 degrees Fahrenheit, and it was measured for temperature prior to being added to the tank.

"Done, Mr. Lloyd."

After all the preparations were made, Julissa blushed slightly. Declan, who was sitting next to her, looked calm and said in a nasal voice, "Hmm."

There was a smell of lavender in the air, and Declan frowned.

"There is an extra lavender in the thermometer, which can relieve fatigue and help sleep."

Julissa's explanation did not arouse the dissatisfaction of Declan. He needed to have a good sleep.

As she walked forward, the man spread out his arms, looking a little overbearing.

Every time this happened, Julissa would blush. Fortunately, Declan had dimmed the lights in the bath, so Julissa was not embarrassed.
