Chapter 14: There Was a Traitor in the Villa

Back at the villa, Anna was afraid that Declan would scold her for ordering his maid. "Julissa, are you all right? I was shocked when Edwin received the news that you were kidnapped."

Julissa did not look at her. Her eyes were tough and full of doubts as she looked at the man sitting on the green leather sofa.

The man was still dressed comfortably this morning. His legs were crossed. Edwin whispered in his ear, reporting the situation of the kidnappers.

After listening, the man's obsidian-like eyes didn't change at all. He just glanced at her indifferently and then stepped into the study on the second floor.

Anna still wanted to say something, but in the end, she could only warn Julissa, who followed Declan upstairs, not to talk nonsense!

Julissa ignored her and Anna stomped her feet in anger again, but she was not worried at all. Roy had sent a message saying that all the kidnappers had been killed. Although someone had saved Julissa, Anna would not have thought that it was Declan.

"Did you find out who's behind all this?" Mr. Lloyd asked decisively as he entered the study.

Sure enough, this man did not need a servant be delicate and useless. Julissa felt very lucky that she did not pretend to faint when Edwin arrived.

"No, but they said their target was Mr. Lloyd's maid!" Mr. Lloyd was satisfied of what Julissa said. He turned around and saw a trace of blood on her right arm. He frowned slightly and asked, "Are you afraid?"

"No. I won't say what I shouldn't say, Mr. Lloyd, but this kidnapping is definitely not accidental!"

Her almond-shaped eyes were firm, and the man sitting on the chair had unfathomable eyes. "What are you trying to say?"

Julissa said bluntly, "I suspect that there is a traitor in the villa!"

Mr. Lloyd paused for a moment and then resumed his rhythm. "Tell me about it."

Julissa told Mr. Lloyd about her speculation and ruled out the possibility that she had been rescued. After all, the scene was chaotic, and the police brought by Roy might have done this.

In short, if Julissa wanted to win the trust of Mr. Lloyd, not only did she have to show her loyalty in times of crisis, but she also had to not mention Anna at all. She was not stupid enough to leave it to Mr. Lloyd to deal with before she could fully understand his attitude toward the Moran Group.

The atmosphere instantly fell silent.

Julissa held her breath and listened to Mr. Lloyd.

Knock.

Edwin knocked on the door. "Mr. Lloyd, Dr. Brown is here."

Julissa was slightly stunned. She heard Mr. Lloyd say, "Go bandage it."

He asked his private doctor to bandage her wound?

In that instant, her heart missed a beat. Julissa cast a glance at her right hand, which she had intentionally allowed the kidnapper to scratch. The injury wasn't severe, though it appeared to be. She braced herself to decline, but the man's commanding presence made her hesitate, and all Julissa could do was nod in agreement, murmuring, "Yes, thank you, Mr. Lloyd."

Out of the study, Mr. Lloyd stood in the middle of the second floor and looked down at everyone in the living room on the first floor, especially Anna, who was nervous about the result.

"Spread the word, Edwin. Those who dare to kidnap my people will have to pay a price that's worse than death!"

Anna was shocked, and her face turned pale. Mr. Lloyd saw it all, and his cold lips curved into a bloodthirsty smile. "In addition, arrange another servant for Mrs. Lloyd."

Anna immediately fell on the sofa. "D!" She was trembling all over. Just a maid. He asked his private doctor to bandage her wound. Now he was adding a servant to her list. It was obvious that he didn't want her to order !

"Yes, sir!" Edwin took the order.

As he bandaged Julissa, Dr. Brown's eyes dimmed quietly.
