*Tonia's Pov*

I was still lost staring at his beautiful home when he walked over with a glass of coffee.

"Here.."

"Thanks" I said, collecting the cup from him and he settled beside me.

He watched me gulp down a little content of the cup before starting a conversation.

"So.. you found my house coincidentally?.. or you decided to give me a visit or .. I'm confused" He said with a little chuckle.

"Neither of that" I responded and he raised his left brow.

"So.. what?.."

"I live here, the neighbour next door, it's me" I said and his mouth made an 'oh" shape and his brows twitched in shock.

"Really?" He asked, his eyes wide open in shock and I nodded.

"Did you.. "

"Yeah, saw you on my first day here" I said and his brows fell.

"Then why didn't.."

"Well, I felt like you didn't feel the same way and I was the only one and you know, showing up in front of you again as your neighbor, that might seem you know, like a pain in your ass" I said laughing at my own joke while he was quiet.

"You.. like me?" He suddenly asked.

"What?.. no? Of course not... Maybe" I admitted seeing he looked serious and knowing I probably looked terrible lying when it was evident on my face.

"I.. I felt I was bothering you and I.." I went quiet when he didn't say anything.

"You know, you don't have to like me back, cause I know you don't and don't worry, I.. I'm getting over it and.."

"It's not that.. I.. kinda like you too" He said and I raised my brow.

"Huh? You?.."

"The other day in front of your company.." He started with a sigh and tucking some strands of his hair behind his ear.

"I actually came to see you" He said and my face lit up.

"Really?" I asked and he nodded.

"Then why didn't.."

"I.. I couldn't.. "

"Why?"

"I didn't want to break your heart.." He said and my face fell.

"Why?. You have.. someone else?.." I asked slowly.

"Somehow.. " He said and I raised my brows, not understanding.

"Ok, the thing is I.. am bethroed to someone" He said, giving me the biggest shock of my life.

"WTF! Mom! Dad, what the hell?!"

"Tonia listen, you're the only child we have and you're our only heir to the company which is now already yours. Your father and I built that company for ten years and we can't let anything happen to it. the board members are requesting you to get married, to have a man by your side and by that baby, you need to get married soon and we talked to you about this but it seemed you weren't working on it, so your dad and I.."

" Did what! Got me into a contract marriage with a random person u know nothing about?!" I yelled frustratedly. I was already frustrated enough after my meeting with Aaron, knowing he couldn't be mind because of what his parents did which is the same fvcking thing mine are doing right now.

"He's not just any random person. His dad and your dad are child hood friends and we know him in particular too, he's a good kid a d he's handsome and rich, totally your type"

"Mom, you know nothing about my type! Okay.. nothing?! And I'm not getting married to him, never! I'm not getting married to someone I know nothing about!" I shouted, making each of my words clear.

"Tonia.." Dad wanted to say but was cut off by a guard who walked in.

"They're here.." He said and my brows rose.

"Who?.. who the hell is there?! I hope it's not them or I swear to god I'll walk out on them and I don't give a fvck if that ruins your reputation.. "

"Tonia.." Mom tried to say.

"Talk to her while I go welcome them" Dad said and mom nodded. He walked away and mom turned to me.

"Tonia.."

"No mom, no" I said firmly.

"Oh my, Lara" Mon said, mustering up a smile as she walked over to the elegant lady who walked in wither her husband.

"Oh mia. How much I missed you" She said as they hugged each other. They all exchanged pleasantries while I stood there, watching them.

"Oh girl, look at her. See how big she's grown" Lara walked up to me and engulfed me in a hug. I tried so hard not to react and instead allowed her to hug me. She pulled away and pecked my cheeks.

"Your mom probably already told you about it and I want you to know that we are really happy that you're willing to marry him and trust me you two would be a great match. He's been single for a very long time and we had to do this" She said, making me wonder if his son was disabled or something. Why was she excited to give away his 'hot and rich' son like mom came in.

"Honey, where's Aaron?" I wasn't sure if I was tripping but I did hear the name 'Aaron'

Wait what?

It can't be.

And there he was, I don't know what kind of shock took me but I couldn't move for some minutes as I stared in awe as He, Aaron walked in looking charming as ever, his height and scent filled the room and he had a look that said 'he didn't wanna be here's but his face lit up immediately he saw me.

"Tonia?" He called in shock.

"Aa.. Aaron?" I stuttered and almost tripped on my words.

"You.. know him?" Mom asked in surprise and I nodded.

"Yeah.. I like him too" I said, before I realized what I said.

"Hm hm" Dad cleared his throat while everyone else laughed except Aaron who still looked as shocked as I was.

"Um, since you two know each other then. Does that means you're okay with the marriage?.." Dad asked with hopeful eyes.

"Yeah. I guess" I said with a little smile, not taking my eyes away from Aaron.
