Chapter 146: The Double Wedding Part 2
Antonio’s P.O.V.
Heilo and I waited patiently at the altar, well I tried. Rocky our best man walked down the aisle with his wife Natalie on his arm escorting her down the aisle towards us, he then took his place beside us. Nick and Fabio escorted their wives as well and then went back up the aisle to escort the family and friends to their appropriate seats. Heilo isn’t nervous at all, and I don’t blame him, he is all ready married to my sister so if she leaves him standing here it isn’t no big deal it won’t change anything between them, he may be mad at first, but it still wouldn’t change the fact that they are married, unlike me. I am a nervus wreck, if she leaves me here who knows what our relationship will be left as. As the last of the guest are seated I look up and see my sister standing there with our father Santos Chavez. He walks her down the aisle and hands her over to Heilo kissing her on the forehead before answering the priest’s question. “And who gives this bride away today?” “My wife and I do.” He answers.
Antionette’s dress is designed where the top is tight to the upper body and waist and is sleeveless on the right side showing off her arm, the left is a full sleeve, the bottom half, the skirt is pooled out with three layers of ruffles going down the length of it. I saw the dress that she wore the first time that they were married, it was a shorter version of what she is wearing today, but it was a tight fit showing off her curves and came just above the knee. Now to wait for my Bella to show up and just as I think this and look up I see her and her father Santiago Karno standing at the top of the aisle with her arm around his, I noticed that he is looking at his daughter in awe, and I don’t blame him my bride sure is a vision, she is wearing a dress that is also tight at the top but sleeveless and strapless, the skirt of the dress is pooled out a lot more then my sister’s dress, in fact she looks like a princess walking down the aisle to be shown off for the first time. Unlike Antionette who carried her bouquet of Lilacs and baby’s breath with her, Bella didn’t instead I have hers in my hands. I have heard that in some traditions where the groom holds the bouquet and once the bride makes it down to the altar they each take a flower giving it to the other. That is what I plan on doing.
Heilo and I did have a say in the planning, but we gave most of the planning to the girls, we know every girl dreams of this morning and we didn’t want to take it away from them. I decided on holding the bouquet and helped with the planning of the reception and Heilo helped in decorating the church and we both took care of the tux’s that us and the guys were going to wear. I watched as my beautiful bride walks down the aisle with her father She has her hair up in a French twist and light blue eyeshadow, pink blush and lip gloss, finished off with black mascara and eyeliner. Her light brown hair looked perfect as the veil fit on top. Both girls decided not to have their veils over their faces like most brides and Heilo and I agree, why hide their beauty even just for a little while during the ceremony. Once they make their way down the aisle to me, Santiago places her hand in mine, also kissing her forehead. “Please take care of her son, and welcome to the family.” He says to me. “I will.” I told him. “Who gives this bride away to this man?” “Her mother ad I do.” He answers before taking his seat next to Analina. My mother is going to take pictures throughout the whole ceremony and during the reception.
As Bella turns to face me, I then pull a white rose out of the bouquet which includes light blue and white roses with baby’s breath. I placed the white rose in her hair and give her the bouquet which she then takes out a light blue rose and places it on my tux jacket, we then face the priest as he gets ready to start the ceremony. “We are here today to witness Heilo Karno and Antionette Chavez in holy matrimony, if anyone here objects to their reunion please speak now or forever hold your peace.” He waits for a few minutes before turning to Bella and I. “We have a double ceremony here so, we also are witnessing Antonio Chavez and Bella Karno in holy matrimony. If anyone here objects to their union you are to speak now for forever hold your peace.” He waits again a few minutes and to my surprise and relief no one objects. The priest then continues on starting again with Heilo and my sister. “Did you two prepare your own vows or would you like to go with the traditional?” “We prepared our own.” “Ok, Heilo you may go first.”
“Antionette when I first laid my eyes on you I was beside myself, I never seen a woman as beautiful as you. I was sent here to Mexico as my cousin’s bodyguard but found you in the process. I was blessed the day that you gave me a chance and even more bless when you decided to marry me and now for a second time.” Laughter filled the room, but quickly died down. “ Since the day I met you I swore on my life to not only protect you but to love, cherish and protect you for as long as you will have me. I knew the first moment that I looked into those black eyes of yours that you would be mine forever. I will cherish, love and protect you until death do us part.” “Ok, Antionette it’s your turn. “I Antionette Chavez will love you forever, the love that I have for you is beyond what I have ever felt before. That is how I knew that you would always be nine. I too will cherish, love and protect you through all o our days. I love you with all of my heart, body and soul Heilo Karno.”
“Ok, now it’s the next couples turn. Antonio why don’t you start.” “From the first moment and I mean the very first moment that I laid my black eyes on your dark blue eyes I have been yours. I remember when we were kids you would come visit your grandfather with your family, and I remember getting jealous of you holding Zanders hand, wishing that it was my hand that you were holding.” Laughter came from Zanders. “Then at sixteen you came back, and it didn’t take much convincing to make you mine. Antionette thought that there was always something wrong with since I didn’t want a girlfriend, that’s because I already found the girl that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I will cherish, love, protect you until my last breath, I am madly in love with you Bella Karno and so proud to call you mine.”
