This was the reason I sent Vladimir over there. It had nothing to do with my mother and him having problems. They just assumed it was.”

“Anna is upset about that. Well, she’s more upset that it was kept from her. She thinks that’s why Vladimir was so accepting of our marriage announcement.” I stated as I placed the ham and cheese on the other slice and slapped it together.

“I know,” He sighed. “Lydia already gave me hell about that. Threatened me with no sex for a week if I didn’t tell her my true intentions.”

“And I guess this is why you’re making her food?” I questioned as I wrapped the sandwich in a cloth napkin.

“Let me tell you this and Lydia is going to kill me for telling you this. She knew about me and Anna, maybe you could use that to get of the hook. You didn’t hear it from me, though.”

I rounded the corner and spotted Anna and Melanie talking. I walked up next to Anna handing the food to her and smiled. “Anna, this is Melanie. She’s going to be staying here while your brother gets her a place to stay.”

“Yes, we just met. She went to Severin’s room, but he wasn’t there. Have you seen him?”

“No, I’m sorry. Just go on inside his room, I’m sure he’s just talking to Nikolai.”
