Chapter 31: A Story Part 2

I still had a few questions but that would be for later. Maybe I could talk to Hector and ask him a few things. He seems easier than others.

I sighed dejectedly when the doors opened and Hector walked in with a tray in hand.

He placed it on the table where I was. My dinner was here.

Hector laughed when my stomach growled at that moment. "You could have said you were hungry earlier. I could have brought you something while you talked."

What a terrible timing.

Hector sat across from me. He had a tumbler filled with blood, if I'm right.

“Do you mind if I ask you something?” I said waiting for him to finish his dinner.

“Anything my lovely princess. Tell me your wish and I will make it real.”

I chuckled and ate my sandwich. Once I sipped my juice, I cleared my throat and looked up.

“Why did you become a vampire?”

Silence.

Did I ask something I shouldn’t?

“Becoming one was a choice for me. I took the chance, the offer in other words. As you know I was a gang leader, the most feared in Mexico and the rest of the countries close by. I had to sweat and bleed for everything I had, and leaving everything like that didn’t seem like something I would ever want. So, I chose and here I am.” He smiled sounding proud.

“I didn’t know you had a choice…”

His brows raised, then he smiled as if remembering something.

“Not all of us had choices Yophiel.”

“Not like Callisto…” I whispered remembering his tragic story.

“Yes,” he nodded sadly. “Not like him.”

“Won’t you tell me to become one of you?”

That made him frown.

Out of all of them, Seth and he were the least likely to speak up about my choice. I mean, I know they want me to become like them. Callisto said it earlier, that they fear for my life and that made me happy. All my life I felt no one really cared for me.

But did he really want that for me?

“You might not always have control, but you always have a choice Yophiel. Whatever you decide remember that will show who you truly are.” He stood up, then turned his back on me. “I won't make you choose because I know you will choose the right one.”

He walked away leaving me thinking.

I know everything we do is based on choices. I am responsible for every single decision and choice I make. Period.

I got up, no longer hungry. As soon as Hector returned from the bathroom, I started arranging my side of the bed.

“Hold on!"

I turned and scrambled back, almost tripping onto the bed.

“Oh my god. Put something on!” I threw one of the pillows.

Hector grabbed the pillow and smiled wickedly.

“Don’t act like you haven’t seen a naked man. Well, I’m not naked, you know what I mean,” he said twirling around.

Hector was in brief and nothing else. His enormous frame was on display for the world to see.

I felt my face heat up as I looked at him from head to toe. Tattoos covered his tan body while his scar stretched with the smile, he gave me.

There was playfulness in his eyes.

Since there was a huge bulge between his thighs, I couldn't help but feel shy.

“Want to touch?"

“Huh?” I choked and raised my head up. I had to stop staring.

“I asked if you wanted to touch.” He repeated.

“Touch where?”

He cocked a brow. “The tattoos. What naughty thing are you thinking?”

I blushed instantly, regretting my awful thoughts.

Hector wiggled his brows mischievously.

I know my face is an open book right now. Easy to read and decipher. Feeling that it was enough, I gave my back to him and quickly got under the covers.

Hector laughed. I pulled the covers over my head as the bed dipped next to me.

“You know, you will have to sleep over me.”

“Excuse me?” I yanked down the covers and found Hector hovering over me. His hair fell on his face. Droplets of water from his recent bath dripped over my cheek.

We both stayed there, staring at each other.

My throat was too dry.

I suddenly felt too hot.

I twisted under the uncomfortable covers, ready to jump away when a soft scent like sandalwood and musk reached my nose.

I inhale. The lingering scent made me feel on cloud 9.

“Are you planning to sleep on that?” Hector's comment pulls me back to reality.

I blinked, then realized what he had asked. I quickly pulled away the covers and jumped out of bed. Literally, I jumped.

Hector stared at me, not believing what he had just seen. I don’t blame him, I overreacted. Hurrying to grab something to wear for the night, I rush into the bathroom and lock the door.

My heart was beating faster than at any other time, making everything around me feel numb. I closed my eyes and took deep breaths.

Once I settled down, I slid down and hung my head between my legs.

I grumbled angrily and looked up. “Seriously what was wrong with me?”

I pushed myself up and started to undress.

I was unsure whether to go out tonight or sleep in the bathroom after hesitating. I decided to screw everything up and just go back.

The door creaked as I peered and found Hector lying down, humming a song I didn’t recognize.

My feet tapped softly against the wooden floor as I walked to the bed. Rounding it, I hurried under one of the covers.

“Could you move?" I stuttered.

"No, I can do Princesa. I like sleeping in the middle of the bed, so if you don’t want to fall you have two choices, cuddle next to me or sleep on top of me.”

I looked over my shoulder. Hector had his arms behind his head as he whistled.

He was too big for this bed. I barely even fit next to him. But if I wanted to get some decent sleep, would I really need to cuddle up next to him?

I bit my lip, then turned around shyly. Lazily, he opened one eye and glanced at me. My heart was like a drum inside my chest.

I got closer but left some space between us. As I close my eyes, I feel him shift next to me. Without any warning, his arm sweeps around me and pulls me until I’m against him.

“This is much better.”

I blushed at the sudden contact.

I stared at him from above as he smiled down at me. “Beautiful,” he whispered.

I lowered my head, embarrassed. Hector’s fingers softly moved on my hips as he returned to humming.

This won’t help. I won’t be able to sleep. Sighing, I slowly let myself relax because there was no way Hector would let me go.

“Are you planning to wear the necklace?”

My head jerked up as I stared at him in surprise.

I looked back at the table where I had left the box.

“You know what it means if you wear it right?”

“I know,” I whispered and leaned my head against his chest.

“Then you have already made your choice,” he smiled. Leaning on my arm, I looked at him. My eyes moved to his dangling earring.

“Would it matter what I chose?” I asked.

Hector’s eyes moved towards me. There was something dangerous lurking in them but I didn’t feel scared.

“No, just be sure that it is what you want. I don’t want to see you hurt because you made the wrong choice.”

“Then what would you want me to do?” I had no idea what he would respond to that. However, I wanted to hear his answer since I know deep in my heart, he won’t lie to me.

Hector shifted my way. His head rests in his hand. “What I want…” he muttered the words while reaching a strand of my hair. “What I want is for you to remain human.”

That was not what I expected.

“Why?”

He looked at me, sadness etched on his face. “Because this is no life for you. I don’t want you to regret anything.” He leaned over and kissed the hair strand. “But if you ever become one of us, I will be grateful for eternity.”

I smiled.

“May I ask something?"

He nodded. I lifted my hand to his bare chest, then slowly swirled it around.

Nothing beats under his rib cage. There was no song for me to hear.

I gulped and mustered some courage for what I was about to ask for. Even though it was the stupidest thing I was about to do, I have done it and so far, I haven't regretted it. But I wanted it.

Here goes nothing.

“Can you bite me?”

Hector’s hand stopped moving. Like a statue, everything about him stopped.

A minute passed and he didn't seem to be moving or saying anything.

Yep, that was an awful idea.

“Um never mind.” I started to give him my back when he grabbed my arm and made me turn.

Goosebumps erupted all over my body as I gazed at Hector who had these different emotions on his face.

This was not my intention.

“Forget what I asked for,” I tried to pull my arm but his grip warned me not to.

“Do you mean it?” He whispered as I looked up. “Do you really mean that?” There seemed to be a sense of hope in his eyes.

I nodded slowly because I really did. I got this courage out of nowhere. All I had was curiosity. I wanted to know what would happen if someone else that wasn’t Callisto drank from my blood.

I wanted to make them remember what it feels to be human. Just for a moment, I wanted them to remember who they once were.

“Yes,” I said sure of my words. “I want you to bite me.”

In a flash, I am on top, straddling him.

Hector sat up, making me gasp in surprise. I could feel his bulge poking my pussy. I clutched to anything near me as desire swept through my body.

An urge, a temptation, has been present since the beginning. I don’t know if it's because we are simply this close and alone since we never had a chance. However, I felt something and it was more than a curiosity about Hector.

I searched his face, trying to understand what he was thinking but like Callisto I couldn’t.

His hand slowly moved behind me, tugging at my nightgown. The small straps fell to the side, baring my skin, I loathe for him to see.

Instinctively, I reached for them when he chuckled, then rested his head on my chest.

“There’s no need to be embarrassed around me,” he whispered, then sighed. “Your outer beauty is a gift.”

I blushed at his words. How could he say something like that so easily?

Hector rested his chin on my chest, while I stared at him nervously.

“Beautiful things are never perfect. But in my eyes, you’re imperfectly beautiful.”

“Hector…”

He reached up and pecked my cheek. I followed his gaze as it searched my face for permission.

As tender as ever, he took a hold of my chin and kissed every inch of my face. My eyes, my cheeks, my brows, my forehead, the tip of my nose and then his lips captured my mouth in a slow and sensual move.

His full lips sucked on mine as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

It was the first time we kissed but it felt like heaven. He pulled me closer and closer as my body melted against him. Although his hands were big, he made sure not to hurt me.

I moaned as his lips kissed behind my ear then lowered down my neck.

Feeling his fangs against my skin, I clutched his hair.

As if we were in a race for our lives, my heart began beating. As I breathe, I wait for him to strike. As he moves his hands down my body, I feel him reach between my legs.

I gasped.

“Tell me you want it,” he growled against my neck. I moaned loudly as his fingers pressed on my wet cunt that throbbed with desire for him. “Answer me, Princesa."

The words sounded so animalistic that I shivered. Feeling his fingers move up and down, I bent over and hid my face on his neck.

The sensation that squeezes my insides tightly. I could feel him smirk as he stroked me.

I spread my legs wider as I felt him go all the way and stop. He didn't push his fingers, just left them there for a moment before moving them again.

I was so wet; I could hear the squishiness as his fingers moved in my pussy.

“Hector…”

“You haven’t answered me,” he growled and bit my shoulder. I shudder as pressure builds between my legs. “Answer me, and I will let you come.”

I lifted my head breathlessly. Hector smiled mischievously as he waited for my answer.

I squeeze my eyes shut as another wave of pleasure hits me. Then I felt him push two fingers inside me, taking me fast.

“Yes,” I almost yelled. Hector grunted as he pleasured me.

I was about to come when he tugged on my hair hard, my head wobble back and bit down my neck.

At that exact moment, I cried out in pleasure, as his fingers fucked me and drank my blood.

He sucked and sucked until I came once, twice.

My legs trembled violently as I climaxed once again stealing all the strength from my body.

Shamelessly I found my eyes locked on his, my hands reaching for his neck. I wanted him, aching and needy as I felt.

With my eyes locked on his, my hand glided down his chest. I watched his body, listened to his ragged breath that he didn’t need.

It drove me crazy.

“Hector.” I gasped as he pushed me back. Hector was on me in a second, gripping my hipbone in a way that conveyed possession.

I sucked a quick breath. Maybe I am wishing for more, but did he want more?

Hector hesitated for a long time. I sensed him feeling troubled so I did the opposite and relaxed.

With tenderness I cupped his face and made him look at me. “It’s alright. If you don’t want to, I don’t mind.”

He exhaled as he slouched over me. “I’m sorry, I just want our first time to be special. That’s all.”

My heart fluttered. “Special?”

“Yes,” he smiled. That smile I love. “I want our first time to be special and I know it’s not tonight.”

I nodded back as he moved, pulling me with him. “Also, you won’t be able to take me completely feeling half dizzy. I’m too much for you to handle in one night."

I shake my head and laugh.

“But I want you,” he breathed, caressing my cheek. “Just not tonight.”

“All right, I understand,” I said raising my hands in defeat.

While I was getting up from bed to go to the bathroom, everything spun around me.

Hector caught me as I stumbled backwards. “Easy.”

"I'm sorry… I just…”

“It’s alright. Let me help you.” He picked me up in princess style and carried me to the bathroom.

Hector sat me in a chair and filled the bathtub. I rubbed my face, feeling lightheaded.

I heard a few rustling sounds before he picked me up again and placing me inside the tub, in the middle of it to be more precise.

“Arms up.”

I looked at him with sleepy eyes. “What?”

“Raise your arms, I will take your nightgown off.” Hector didn’t even allow me to answer when he pulled it over my head and threw it on the floor.

I wanted to fight him back, but I was too tired. Leaning on the tub to rest my head, I hear some noise then feel him getting behind me, each leg on the side.

He doesn’t pull me but grabs my hair and ties it in a messy knot. I grinned.

“Is the water temperature good?" he asked. It was too tiring for me to even open my mouth, so I nodded.

Wow, this was worse than when Callisto bit me. Perhaps because I barely fed today and it really was a long day that I felt like this.

I sighed when I felt an arm snake around my waist. Slowly he pulled me towards him but didn’t let me rest against his chest.

I rested on the tub edge when Hector stopped me. He was kind enough to place a folded towel so I could feel more comfortable.

We both enjoyed the silence as he massaged me. It had me moaning.

Hector hummed a song as his hands slid down my back. The sponge slowly moved all over me. I bit down a moan as he moved lower between my legs.

“No,” I chuckled lazily squeezing my legs together.

I could feel him smiling behind me while teasing me.

Opening my eyes, I saw our reflection in the mirror. I thought he was smiling. How mistaken I was. There was an awful gloominess etched on his face that vanished my tiredness.

I notice he is staring at my scars. As I grasp the situation, I recoil away from him. My arms wrap around my body as I look at him through the reflection.

Hector slowly moved his eyes towards the mirror and saw horror on my face. Recognition hit him and that gloominess disappeared as he moved to touch me but I flinched.

“I didn’t mean it—”

“There’s no need to explain,” I choked. How could I have lowered my guard around him?

“Look at me, Yophiel,” Hector ordered. I reluctantly did. “Your scars are not your shame. They are part of your story, your story.”

“My story,” I scoffed. “How ridiculous. It’s so easy for you guys to joke about scars if you’ve never even been cut."

“Then what’s this?”

I followed his hand movement that led to his scared face.

“Isn’t this a scar? Don’t I carry one as well?”

I looked down trembling. The water no longer felt warm.

"I wear this scar like a medal. Proudly. It’s true it makes me remember the awful way I got it, but it’s my story, part of my life and I am not ashamed. On the contrary, this is my own story, and the only remembrance of my human life.”

Now that he mentioned it, something else Darcy once said to me comes back. “Why didn’t that scar disappear when you turned into a vampire?”

He blinked.

“I don’t know. I never asked Darcy and he never cared. And now that you mentioned it, I could have healed it with his technology but to be honest, I’m happy with it,” he said touching it with a smile.

I pulled my legs up and rested my chin over them. Hector leaned back; his mind was somewhere else. He was right although I didn’t want to admit it.

Well, I usually would never admit something when it’s about my scars, but sometimes it’s difficult to forget your past when it’s written all over your body. And I simply couldn’t forget about it that easily, not when I saw myself every day and recalled the horrendous day my sister tied me and locked me in the adjacent house.

I was disgusted at the way she insulted me.

I closed my eyes and tried not to go that way. Although she no longer lives, as long as I have those memories, I will never forget them.

I simply cannot.
