Chapter 105

The entire packs were seated in a large circle and eating their meals when Greg and Booby joined.

Booby crossed his legs like everyone else while he was served food.

He heaved a sigh of relief and began to eat gently.

"You at you, you're really hungry aren't you?" Greg stated referring to how Booby was gently eating.

As a soldier who had fought in a war, he expected him to rush his meal since he should be hungry.

Booby lowered his gaze and focused on his meal. He could tell Greg was already suspecting him for being an imposter.

"So, what is your name soldier?" Greg asked him.

Booby hurriedly chunk a spoonful of food in his mouth, to use that as an excuse why he couldn't answer the question.

He tried his best not to frown at Greg, to avoid being screwed up.

He wondered why Greg wouldn't get off his neck.

He felt frustrated as he knew he couldn't have the meal chewing in his mouth forever.

Greg was still waiting for a reply. He wasn't eating like the rest, but he had his meal before him.

Booby gulped down the meal down his throat and stated that he ate a strong potato.

Those that were close by smiled to his joke.

Greg however, kept a strict gaze at him, while waiting for his response.

"So what's your name soldier?" Abigail asked while she was still laughing.

"My name is Bob" Booby snapped.

"So Bob, why don't you have blood stain on you?" This Greg's next question got everyone staring at Booby.

"Uh! I had change before coming here you know. Don't want to come with a bloody uniform. It would get people scared" Booby replied boldy.

"How come you've got no single scratch on you?" another asked.

They began to see reasons to interrogate him as he appeared to be clean.

"I'm sorry but I have to leave now" Booby snapped and stood up to excuse himself.

"You aren't going anywhere" Greg said to him, while he pulled out a gun from himself.

He pointed the gun at Booby and told everyone that Booby was an imposter.

Booby scoffed and asked; what prove Greg had?

"We all saw it didn't we? He had no scars" Greg said to them.

"Werewolves heal fast" one replied.

"What? At least there's a scar, but this man has none. In fact he was the one who attacked Rose and I" Greg confessed.

"Huh!" the people muttered and stared at the two men.

"What are you doing Greg?" Gwen came into the scene.

"Your highness, this soldier is an imposter" Greg announced.

"How sure are you?" Gwen asked him.

"No one here can recognize him" Greg replied.

"I do" Gwen replied. " Now lower your gun or we will take you to be an enemy" She warned him.

Greg squinted his eyes at her. He had suspicions that the queen and Bob had something in common. Or perhaps she was threatened by the soldier as they were away for some time.

"I will be returning now, I have to give the alpha feedback of your arrival" Booby said and turned to leave when Greg suddenly stopped him.

"How about we all go together, it wouldn't be a big deal would it. Besides, you should rest now first. We'll go there later" Greg suggested.

"Why are you telling us what to do human? Do you to rule over us huh?" Booby raised his voice while he spoke to Greg.

"What! Why would I want to do that?" Greg argued.

"Well, I think it's time you leave us because we aren't friends to humans" Booby reminded.

"Your alpha brought me here, so I'm not leaving until he says so" Greg said.

"The soldier is right Mr. It's time you left us. The dwellings of werewolves is no place for a human" Gwen added.

Greg frowned at them and snapped his fingers at Rose to follow him.

"Very well then, send my regards to your alpha, and tell him. He owes me the book of spells he took for me" Greg spoke and began leaving while Rose followed suit.

Booby scoffed as they left. He clenched his fist at Greg as he was angry with him.

Greg was finally out of his way, now he can complete his plans of taking the rest pack to Damian.

Gwen whispered to him to eliminate the two humans who were going away.

He smiled wickedly and went out of sight.

***

While Greg and Rose were walking in the woods, the lady asked a question.

"How do you know the soldier was an imposter?".

"His character was suspicious. He ate as though he hasn't been in a war, he doesn't look stress out and--- he paused as he detected strange sounds from the woods.

"Stay close" he ordered Rose and took out his gun.

"What's going on?" Rose was curious and looked scared.

"He's back to kill us" Greg broke the news.

"What!" Rose exclaimed and grabbed Greg's coat tightly.

She began shivering while she looked around as Greg did.

Greg's eyes widened as he grasped Rose's arm, his grip tightening. "Did you hear that?" he whispered urgently, his voice barely audible over the pounding of his heart.

Rose's eyes were wide with fear as she nodded, her face pale amidst her fear.

They both heard it well this time. The growl of an animal.

Greg's gaze scanned the surrounding trees, his senses on high alert.

"It sounded like...a growl," she whispered, her mind racing with the possibility of what might be lurking in the woods.

Suddenly, the groan echoed through the woods again, this time louder and closer. Greg's heart skipped a beat as he pulled Rose closer, his protective instincts kicking in. "We need to get out of here, now," he whispered, already turning to make a hasty retreat.

He cracked his gun and began running while holding Rose's hand tight.

Her breath was heavy, she wished for an opportunity to catch her breath, but the current danger was one they must adhere to.

Greg stopped suddenly and asked Rose to keep shut.

They hid behind a tree while he peeped to see if their chaser was close by.

He couldn't hear any sound. Although, he wasn't convinced either that Booby was off their tale.

"He must have transformed into an human" Greg informed and concentrated in locating the werewolf.

"Shush" he beckoned to Rose and crawled aw

ay from her.

"Ahhh!" Rose screamed to alert his attention.

Greg turned back to see what had prompt her to scream.
