Chapter 7 Ten years crush resurface

CHAPTER 7

RONAN POINT OF VIEW

That face… the face of the woman I have had a crush on since I was ten years old.

Two decades of crushing, and the feelings have never died down to this day. I thought it would, I've fucked enough pussises to have just one having me fly down to the Nightshade pack immediately I heard Alpha Dominus fucked up.

I sat on my Harley, the engine rumbling. My hands clenched so tight on the handles that my knuckles were almost turning white, my jaw locked and my teeth gritted tightly.

Fuck me sideways—I came late. Just a few damn minutes late. If I’d rolled up earlier, she’d be the one on the back of my bike right now. Her soft hands gripping my waist, her chest pressed against my back, the wind whipping her hair into my face while I took her anywhere she wanted before dropping her off at the airport so we could both head home.

But instead, I stood there like a fool, watching her drive off with him….my own brother. Honestly, I'd be lying if I said that doesn’t hurt.

Seeing her in his car made my stomach twist like barbed wire. That should have been me,she should have nothing to do with him after what happened at that dinner table.

Every rev of my bike felt like a punch to the gut. I wanted to chase after them, drag her out of that car, and remind her who the hell always had her back when nobody else did.

He had his shot six years ago, and he wrecked her at that dinner table.

Now it's my time, and I won't let him ruin it for me. He’s had his fair shot, and he betrayed her in front of everyone.

Left her in pieces. And now he goes to pick her up?

I choose not to believe it’s what I'm thinking. I'll stay optimistic about this until we get to the pack.

Right now, we’re in enemy territory, and any misstep can cause a war.

Not that we’re scared of war with the Nightshade from a few years ago, but shedding blood in the middle of an Alpha presidential election will ruin a lot in the werewolf kingdom.

Once I got the news that Dominus Jones brought back his mate, I knew that asshole was going to hurt my sweet girl.

Then, Zipco—one of my bikers—told me that she also lost her baby. I didn’t know any of this; I’m not conversant with the internet. I barely check the blogs or read the articles, so I never know what’s going on in her life.

Actually, I wanted it that way. I didn’t want to stalk her and hurt myself.

You’d think after all this time, I’d have learned to bury those feelings. But no—she walks in, flashes that soft smile, and my heart starts roaring louder than my bike on full throttle.

Seeing her face from the window of that car… damn, she’s beautiful. Not the kind of beauty you see on billboards or in fancy clubs… nah, hers hits you deep. That kind of natural, soul-scorching beauty that makes the world stop spinning just as it made me stop breathing when our eyes met a few minutes ago.

Her face… glowing even in the night with those silky eyes that could make a grown-ass man forget his own name.

That tiny mole under her left eye that I used to tease her about…

And those succulent lips… fuck… so soft and full.

I still remember how I begged her to leave the pack with me that night they asked her to marry that fucker, Dominus Jones.

Just like I knew he was going to fuck with her in the near future. But she didn’t believe me; she stayed back and obeyed the damn pack.

Still lost in thought, Zipco tapped my shoulder, snapping me out of it. I turned to him.

“Ghost, we need to leave right now before that passage gets closed,” he reminded me that we were smuggled into this pack.

Without saying a word, I hit the throttle and zoomed off, and he followed suit.

In a couple of minutes, we were back at the airport. They quickly loaded our bikes in before we settled in, and the flight took off into the air.

Inside the plane, I sat back, thinking of Blair. Is she back with the pack, or did Darius bring her in for a job? I heard she’s a top attorney. New to me, but not surprising; I’ve always known my sweet girl had big dreams.

She wanted it all, even at a tender age back then in the pack. My sweet girl has always been a bookworm, but it’s just a pity that these Alpha boys always want to toss her aside after using her.

As the plane climbed higher, I looked down at the Nightshade pack.

I'll be back—soon. Sooner than anyone expects… I will be back for Darius!

No one causes my girl pain and goes scot-free!
