Chapter 63: Talitha’s POV
Alpha King's sex slave
Talitha's POV
It's a saying that sometimes the past gets better than the present and that's how I felt when I watched everyone who I thought had my back couldn't believe my truth. They tagged me a murderer and joined the mob to criticize me. Out of fear for my life I thanked the Alpha deep down for keeping me in the confines of my chambers or I would be killed by the vile townspeople. The guards were hostile, the maids clicked their eyes angrily in my direction delivering my meals.
Weeks have come and gone the last time the Alpha visited my prison he only came to get intimate with me exercising his rights but I could see it in his eyes. The unspoken words he desperately tries to mask but fails at. The man fell in love with me just like I did him but why haven't we spoken our truth and followed our hearts?
I sat looking at the window letting the air caress and kiss me a smile as my fingers slowly moved to the little bump.
Shocking? I found out I was pregnant again for the second time and it was the result of that night he spent with me. The maids sent to bring my food have no idea on the development because I disguise my tummy area alot wearing big outlandish clothes when they get into my room. I had no idea I was going to get pregnant. The news on Galina's pregnancy is a dream come true and I'm sincerely happy for her which puts me and my child at the bottom of the list. Galina would do everything to make sure I never get back with the Alpha she enjoys being his focus and only her he gets to be with.
“Galina was up to no good and it's funny how she played her ways into my heart and ended up denying me.” My instincts pick at her funny reactions the day of the event and ever since she stopped frequenting my chamber. I had no evidence to nail her simple instincts that can't override facts and it's where I belong on the losing end.
My eyes spot a knife at the table inside a basket of fruits.
I can't fight any longer. It's better I do this now. Sooner or later he will get to know and once again I'll be reduced to his breeder. I rose from the bed and walked to the table. With trembling hands I picked the knife and returned back to bed.
“I will be with you soon, mother.” I say in between tears sliding down both cheeks and slit my wrist. A sharp pain popped in my veins as blood oozed spilling onto the mattress. I let myself bleed doing nothing in accord to stop what was happening.
Dizziness washed over me and I let it take me closing my eyes to welcome the hand of death. I picked the sound of a creak but like smoke everything vanished and my world turned into nothingness.

(One week later)
One week to the day I tried taking my life but got rescued by a maid who came to deliver meals according to the healer who narrated the events. The maid was fast to yell for help and I got rushed before I lost a lot of blood.
Twice I've found Hades in my chambers and not once did he speak to me or did I initiate the conversation. Shame ate up my peace and it wouldn't let me breathe in his presence. What was I thinking contemplating suicide? He is fully convinced I aborted the first child I gave him the licence to believe I can't blame him for my shortcomings.
The sound of the door pulled me from my thoughts as my eyes met the healer holding onto a basket of leaves.
“Good to have you back, I was bored in your absence.”
“I was at my toes hurrying back before you do something stupid you can't be trusted on your own. We remember the last time…”
“It’s in the past.” I defend.
“Say that to the Alpha king when next he comes to check up on you. He can't lose both heirs.”
A knock came at the door. Amari left the table heading to the door anc on reaching twisted the door knob and snuck her neck outside. “The Alpha requested madam Talitha to be present at the dinner banquet.” A male voice says.
The healer nods. “She will be there shortly. I'll help her get dressed.” And with that she closes the door.
Why is he inviting me to a banquet in the company of Galina? I detest her over what she did to me and times without number I felt like going over to her room to confront her into speaking the truth. Does she think it's easy to be labelled what you're not? She made me appear like a fool.
The healer picked out a nice dress with a flowery pattern to the side before helping me to a herbal bath and when I was done helped me to my dress. My tummy has grown and made me feel like popping at any given chance from my weight.
“I will be back soon.”
“Don’t worry, do well to have a good time.” She pinched my cheek with a smile and I nod walking to leave. A tear nearly slipped from my tear duct being friends with her back again feels divine. I was glad she didn't hold the allegations against me and welcomed me into her arms.
I got to the royal hall and met the guards standing at the door and as I approached the door they grew impatient by opening the door as fast as possible.
“Thank you.” I whispered sliding into the room with my hands on my baby bump. Few weeks ago, placing my hands at the bump became my favourite part of being pregnant at conscious and unconscious times.
“Greetings everyone.” I say shyly. I never thought to see so many people as the eyes of the entire room were fixed on me. The entire banquet could feed a small pack lined up in the royal room.
Alpha Hades scooted his chair backwards, rising to his feet and beckoned. I come forward to face the guests in an introduction. “Guest this is Talitha she's my…. the mother of my unborn child as you can see she's carrying my child just like my Queen I'm blessed to expect two heirs.”
Congratulations poured out copiously from the guests. A few had good remarks about me, especially the men but the women at the banquet had a dirty glare at me. They see me as a competition and a threat to their men.
Alpha Hades drew out a seat and I humbly complied but nervous at the people in the room.
So many eyes were feasting on me but one was more intense than the others burning jealous holes of fire on my skin and that was Galina.
The shock on her face when she realised I was pregnant again when she saw me at the door and when the Alpha introduced me to his guest with affirmation he knew of my condition was to die for. Jealousy spelled in wide bold letters written over her features and body language.
The dinner commenced with the eating and drinking as it should regardless of what anyone said at the table. Galina never stopped glaring at me, especially on my innocent bump.
“Ahhh…” I held my stomach as I felt a light kick on my womb. The atmosphere in the room changed into panic as suddenly Alpha Hades was by my side.
“Are you okay?” The first time he spoke to me in months. I didn't realise I missed his voice that much when a tear burned my tear duct.
“No I don't feel good, the baby kicked.”
“Awesome news.” He exclaimed and took me by surprise by carrying me in bridal style from the chair. I hid my flushed face in the crook of his neck.
“The banquet is over. I hope you all enjoyed your time.” I heard him address the people in the room and carried me out of the room.
