Chapter 247

Alexander's POV

I clutched my still-aching wound, watching Natasha stand before Victor, her hands still emitting a faint glow.

In this moment, she was bathed in a sacred silver light, breathtakingly beautiful. Her gaze toward Victor held no anger anymore, only pity.

I stumbled to her side, wrapping my arm around her shoulders. Seeing the power she had just unleashed, I felt both amazed and proud. "Are you okay?" I asked softly.

Nearby, Victor lay on the grass, blood seeping from the corner of his mouth. He struggled to rise, snarling as he bared his fangs, "How dare you... look at me... like that..."

My security personnel quickly moved forward to restrain Victor. I had prepared them specially for emergencies, never thinking they would actually be needed now.

"Get off me!" Victor violently shoved away one of the guards, turning toward me with eyes burning with rage. "You're no son of mine!"

I clenched my fists, feeling the veins bulge on my forehead. "You have no right to judge me, father." The last word was forced through gritted teeth, filled with pain and anger.

I stepped forward: "When you tried to kill her, I saw it... the moment the Moonlight Blade pierced her body..." The memory made my heart ache unbearably.

Victor interrupted me: "That should have been the perfect ending! That knife was made for people like her!"

"When I thought I'd lost her..." I continued, pain flashing in my eyes, "I finally understood what truly matters..."

I recalled how Natasha was suddenly surrounded by silver light just as the knife was about to pierce her. If not for that silver light, she would certainly have died.

The knife had shattered into countless pieces because she was transforming. The fragments scattered in the air, falling like sharp snowflakes on both Victor and me.

After that, I remembered nothing, only that Natasha tried to heal me while my consciousness drifted in and out.

I had been certain I would die—I actually did die briefly. But Natasha didn't give up; she saved me. When I woke up and saw her, my first instinct was to kiss her, and by some telepathic connection, she felt the same.

She was like my guardian angel.

Also, I was glad she accidentally healed Victor. I didn't want him dead; I preferred him to suffer torment for the rest of his life, locked away somewhere to rot.

Victor spat blood on the ground, jolting me from my thoughts.

I crouched down, looking directly into Victor's eyes: "You know what? I once tried so hard to earn your approval..."

Still unrepentant, he pointed at my face: "Weak... my son has become so weak..."

I shook my head, a bitter smile appearing at the corner of my mouth: "No, father. Love isn't weakness. You betrayed my mother, you betrayed Marcus's mother, your entire life has been one betrayal after another..."

Victor suddenly roared: "Who do you think you are? Without me, you're nothing!"

I stood up, looking down at him, my voice calm but powerful: "I am Alexander Morgan, Sophia's father, Natasha's mate, and my identity has nothing to do with you."

"You bitch!" Victor suddenly screamed at Natasha: "Whatever you are, I'll kill you! All you've done is destroy my family and taint my bloodline!"

As Natasha was about to step forward, I quickly grabbed her arm. Then I directed the nearby security guards to restrain the struggling Victor.

Taking a deep breath, I did something I should have done twenty years ago when he betrayed my mother. I pulled back my arm like drawing a bow, fingers clenched into a fist, and slammed it hard into his face.

I watched with satisfaction as his head jerked backward, blood immediately gushing from his nose.

Grace hurried out from the doorway, carrying towels and a medical kit, stopping in her tracks at the scene before her: "My God..." she gasped softly.

"Is everything alright, Mr. Alexander?" Grace looked at the blood on my hand and Natasha's pale face, her eyes filled with concern.

I thought she would scold me, but instead she just wiped my hand with a towel. "Thank you, Grace," I said quietly, feeling the warmth on my hand as the pain in my body gradually gave way to inner calm.

Grace's gaze fell on Victor, hatred appearing on her face—an expression I'd never seen before, not even when she initially disliked Natasha for being human.

Victor sneered at her: "You lowly servant..."

Grace suddenly stepped forward, grabbing Victor by the collar and pulling him close: "I've always hated you!" she hissed, her eyes burning with fury, "And whenever I had the chance, I put dishwater in your coffee."

As soon as she finished speaking, Grace spat in his face. She stomped hard on Victor's foot, then turned toward me: "Dinner is ready, sir. Sophia is waiting." Her voice returned to its usual calm, as if her outburst had never happened.

Victor howled in pain, leaving the guards and me too shocked to speak, until someone burst into laughter.

I couldn't help but smile too, watching Natasha carrying Sophia as they walked away, her copper-red hair gleaming, Sophia's small hands wrapped around her neck. Seeing this, my heart instantly found its home—I had my own family.

I turned to the bodyguards, pointing at the still-cursing Victor: "Take him to the werewolf enforcement department. Tell them everything." I could now calmly decide Victor's fate. He deserved proper punishment.

As Victor was pulled to his feet, he suddenly laughed: "You're so naive, Alexander... you think this is over? You'll regret this..."

I moved closer to Victor, my voice for his ears only: "No, father. This is just the beginning. I'll give you a week to adjust to prison life, after that... you'll wish you had died tonight."

As Victor was dragged away, he continued to shout: "That human whore and the mongrel in her belly won't have a good end! The prophecy is never wrong!"

I looked at the remaining security personnel, smiling wearily: "Whoever can keep him in line gets their salary doubled next month."
