Epilogue

One Year Later

The last year has been so wild, crazy and amazing. So much has happened and I still can’t believe I am the Luna to our pack and things have only gotten better since we marked each other and completed the mating. Which was right after the Luna Ceremony. It was so romantic, Max really went all out and made it perfect, he took me out to the same place we had our first real date, and there was fairy light strung up in the trees and there was a basket of food and snacks, and there were flowers everywhere, and right in the middle of it all he has a huge blanket laying there covered in those big fluffy pillows.

Max is such an amazing Alpha; he takes such good care of the pack and me. He always makes sure that I have everything I could possibly want or need. The Daycare that we put together for the kids has been growing bigger and we even had to add on an additional room for all the pups that the young couples are having. We even had to find more caregivers. Our pack has just been growing and succeeding so well over the last year.

Also, when Max took over as Alpha from his father things have been great, his parents have kind of taken off and they travel all over, they use this time now to enjoy their time together and to enjoy things they didn’t get a chance to when they were younger. They always come back and visit for a couple months before they go off on another adventure, but whenever we need them, they are always a phone call away for any advice we may need.

Tyler and Trever took over as Max’s Beta and Gamma and Sarah ended up finding her mate with a neighboring pack just a couple hours away. I am so happy that she still gets to remain close enough to visit when she can. She loves being the Luna, she tells me all the time how wonderful and welcoming everyone was and what a wonderful Alpha and mate she has.

They are going to start working on their second pup soon, and Sarah just had their first a few months ago. I guess they didn’t wait too long to mark and mate each other like Max, and I did, but hey to each their own. Still, I am so happy that Sarah was able to find her mate so soon after we graduated and Tyler and Trevor are still looking for theirs, I pray they don’t have to wait too long. I may have to organize a bigger ball for all the single wolves and invite more packs.

As for Max and me. We decided that we would take care of the pack and get settled in as the new Alpha and Luna before we decide on starting a family together.

There have been a few pack members that have given me a hard time at first, but I don’t blame them, especially since they were close followers of my family and Tiffany. We managed to get them in line quickly and quietly. Then there haven’t been any more issues. Thank the Goddess.

But after Max settled everything and explained the situation to the whole pack everyone seemed to have accepted me and I am glad that everything just ended up being a misunderstanding on their part. I don’t hold anyone else accountable for their actions. My parents and Heather can be very manipulative.

As for my family, well Max didn’t really give them a choice in their punishment, he made sure they were treated just as poorly as they treated me.

After a severe lashing he told all the surrounding packs what has been going on and he and I decided to take away everything from them and they were banished and made to go rogue. It took me some time to come to terms with what we decided and from time to time I start to second guess myself with that decision, but Max helps me to remember how bad it was before, and I don’t feel so bad afterwards. My parents and sister were horrible people to me, and I never did anything wrong to make them treat me the way they did. Max took the fact that they were my family into account when deciding their punishment and I’m thankful for that. We have no idea where they are now, and I don’t plan to worry about it anymore.

Besides I have more important things to worry about now. After I take my shower and get dressed in a pair of black leggings and one of Max’s t-shirts, I make my way down to his office to give him a little gift I have for him. When I get to the office, I hear him say to enter before I even get a chance to knock. I figure it’s our bond that has grown stronger every day since we marked one another.

I open the door and step inside; I keep my one hand behind my back as I make my way towards him sitting behind his desk. I lean down to give him a kiss and I feel his hand slide up the outside of my thigh and I hear a growl come from deep in his chest.

“What did I do to get the pleasure of a visit from my beautiful mate?”

“I just thought I would come see you this morning and see how things are going?”

“Things are going great actually, the businesses are doing well, the pack hasn’t had any rogue attacks in some time and I’m happy to say that your parents haven’t even been seen in sometime by any other packs nearby, so I’m assuming they have gone further away than we thought they would.”

“That’s good. I also came by because I wanted to tell you something.”

“Oh? What did you want to tell me?”

As he says this, I pull my hand out from behind my back and I place the bag I had in my hand in front of him and I give him a look that says, ‘go ahead and open it.’

“What is this, Jo?”

“You will have to open it to find out babe.”

He carefully and skeptically pulls the bag closer to him and peers inside, but he can’t see anything with all the tissue paper covering it. So, he starts to pull the tissue paper out and then he reaches inside and pullout a shirt reading, “Future Alpha of Blue Ridge Pack”

He looks between me, and the shirt and he give me a questioning look like he doesn’t fully understand why I gave him this shirt.

“What is this?”

“Keep looking, there is more inside.”

He reaches back into the bag and pulls out a figurine of a family of wolves standing together, there is two bigger wolves and one smaller wolf.

He places the figurine down and reaches back into the bag and pulls out a pacifier and a baby bottle this time and he places everything down on the desk and slides the bag out of the way, then he looks over everything and looks back to me.

“Oh, for Goddess Sake Max. What do all of these things have in common?”

He starts looking over everything again and I think the light bulb has finally lit up and he looks to me with a huge grin on his face and he jumps up and wraps his arms around me and we spin and twirl a few times.

He then gently sets me back down and he keeps going down to his knees, so his eyes are level with my still flat stomach, and he begins to say things like how excited he is and how he can’t wait to meet the future Alpha and when he says the next thing it brings tears to my eyes because it proves to me that he is going to be an amazing father when our little pup finally arrives.

He stands back to his full height and gently places his hand on my stomach and looks into my eyes.

“You are going to be the best mother, and I am so thankful the Moon Goddess brought you into my life.”

That statement brings tears to my eyes, and I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him down to give him a kiss that shows all the love I have for this man and how I too am thankful for the Moon Goddess to bring him to me.
