I can’t express how happy I am and how amazing it feels to have my little mate so close to me now, my wolf has been much calmer over the last week since Josie moved into the packhouse. My wolf wants me to mark her already but I have managed to keep him at bay for the time being, which means she doesn’t know we are mates yet, but I know she can feel little things that gives her clues, the first day she moved in and we had our first kiss, when I went to touch her she had this look on her face that told me she felt the tingles too, at least a little bit of the tingles. Which is a great start to our journey.
Over the last week it has been quiet, which is odd. I have this gut feeling that something going to happen, but I try not to let it get to me. I keep an eye on Josie and I try to keep an eye on Tiffany, so she doesn’t try anything else. I just don’t trust her. A few days ago, I was making plans to tell Josie about us being mates. But one night when I found her in the kitchen with the Omegas helping them, I couldn’t resist walking up behind her and getting my hands on her. And when she started wiggling against me, I had to really focus to keep myself under control. Then out of nowhere Josie tensed up and that’s when I knew something was wrong. Or so I thought until she dragged me upstairs to her room. I wasn’t sure what she was up to until she asked me the one question I had been hoping for over the last year. But I’m so glad she figured it out. Once we talked about us being mates and made our way back down to the kitchen for dinner, I noticed Tiffany was in Josie’s chair and I wasn’t going to give Tiffany the satisfaction of getting a word out of me, instead I just pulled Josie right down into my lap and I had to set her just right so she wouldn’t feel how excited I was. I don’t want to scare her away.
After we all ate and I got Josie to fall asleep in my bed I met my Dad in his office and we talked about everything, I told him how Josie figured it out and I told him all that we talked about and then we did a bit of pack duties and then I went back to bed with my little mate.
The last couple days, I have been working with my dad, trying to learn the ins and outs of becoming Alpha of the pack and between training and learning everything with my dad, I always make sure to spend time with Josie at the end of the day, no matter how tired I am. I have a special night planned for her tonight. I haven’t had a chance to take her out on a proper date since she moved into the Packhouse.
I am going to take her out to a clearing with a small lake and I have a picnic packed and ready to go. Before I head out, I just need to sign off on the papers about Tiffany and make sure that she is taken care of.
We found out that it was Tiffany and her friends, after all that beat Josie within an inch of her life and it’s a blessing from the Moon Goddess that she is still alive.
If Sarah and I didn’t get to Josie when we did, I don’t think she would have made it. I also think that there was a small amount of her wolf power that helped her make it through the horrible things Tiffany did to her. Just as I sign off on the last of my paperwork there is a knock on my office door and when I tell the guest to enter, they open the door, and I am instantly hit with a sweet scent of Strawberries and honey.
I look up to said visitor and I smile as wide as I am able and I stand to meet this beautiful creature halfway and reach my arms out to her, she walks into my arms and wraps her arms around me and places her nose to my chest and I feel her take a deep breath and that gives me clues to her having the feeling of knowing I am her mate as well. She has been doing that a lot lately since she figured out we are mates.
I’m glad I didn’t have to tell her. I’m glad she was able to figure it out on her own.
“Hello, their love, how are you feeling today?”
She looks up at me and smiles a wide smile that goes from ear to ear, and I lean down to give her a quick kiss on her forehead.
“I’m doing better today, a little sore but I will manage.”
Her pain has significantly decreased over the last week, she was beat pretty badly and I know her wolf is slowly healing her, but she hasn’t shifted yet, I’m hoping she will be able to do it soon. I want to be there with her for the first time.
“Good, I’m glad you’re doing better. I know I have been quite busy these last couple days, but I have something special planned for you tonight. Do you think you might be up for it?”
“Oooh What kind of surprise?”
“Now it wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you now would it. But I know you will love it. What do you say? You up for an adventure?”
She seems to think it over and I become nervous, she seems to be thinking it over and the longer she is silent the more nervous I get, but then when I really look into her eyes, I see a hint of cheekiness in there and I then realize she is messing with me.
She then releases a sweet little chuckle, and I can’t help but tickle her sides a bit.
“You little vixen, you had me going there for a minute. Come on let’s head back upstairs and change and we can go.”
“Okay, Max, I will go change and we can head out.”
We both head upstairs to our separate rooms on the Alpha floor and when we separate, I already feel the loss of my little mate and my wolf is not happy about it. We haven’t decided to move her into my room yet, but I hope she will want to be there with me soon.
Oh hush, you will see her again in twenty minutes, she is only getting ready for tonight.
“I can’t take it much longer max, the more we are together the harder it becomes to want to mark her.”
I know buddy, but just try to be patient, we are telling her she is our mate tonight and maybe in a couple more days she will let us mark her. Just try to be patient. She has been through a lot.
“I know. I just want our little mate.”
I know bud, me too.
I make it to my room and grab a quick shower and when I make my way out to my closet, I quickly throw on some black jeans with rips throughout the front and I grab a white V-neck shirt and I grab my black leather jacket and my black boots. When I am fully dressed and ready, I make my way out and down the hall towards Josie’s room and when I knock on the door, I hear her from the other side saying just a minute.
