Chapter 48

Blake's POV

"I can't believe my mom would poison Aurora like that. I know she was mad at me when I left but to poison her. She went too far. I can't help but think this was partly my fault. I should never have left Aurora with my mom," John said.

We were on our way back to the Packhouse to pick up some clothes and other items to bring back to the Pack Hospital. Since Aurora had been drinking Wolfsbane for over two years, Sally thought it was important to run some tests to make sure her wolf didn't suffer any long-term effects.

I didn't want to leave Aurora alone, but she thought it would be good for me and John to return to the Packhouse together. I knew she wanted us to talk out our problems. She didn't like that her brother and I were arguing.

"It isn't your fault, John. You didn't know that your mother would drug her as she did. You still should have told Aurora about werewolves. You should never have hidden it from her like your mom hid everything from you," I replied, causing John to sigh.

"I know, man. I regret not telling Aurora every day. If I had told her, she wouldn't be in the hospital right now hurt about what our mother did to her," John said. Once we arrived at the Packhouse, my mom and dad walked up to us. Everyone was outside in the backyard, still Celebrating Aurora and me being fully mated.

"Where is Aurora?" My mom asked as everyone hopped into the elevator to head to Aurora and John's floor.

"In the Pack Hospital," I replied

"Is she alright?" My mom asked worriedly

"Yes, but we discovered that our mom had been giving her tea with Wolfsbane in it. She had been giving it to her since I moved away. So Sally wants to make sure Aurora's wolf isn't suffering any long-term side effects," John said.

"Oh, my Goddess. Why would your mother do that to her?" My mom asked.

"Because she didn't want Aurora to turn and leave her as I did," John said.

"We came back here to pack a bag for the night since Aurora, and I will be spending the night at the hospital," I said

"Why are you not with your Mate? I am sure John could have brought the bag back to the hospital, or you could have asked me," My mom scolded.

"Because Aurora asked me to ride back with John. I believe she wants John and I to talk because she can tell he is upset at me for finishing the Mating process with her," I said. I looked over at John to see him glaring at me.

"I have every right to worry about my sister being fully mated right now. She is too young," John said. John and I looked at my mom and dad when they began to laugh loudly.

"I know you are Aurora's older brother, but Blake and Aurora are Mates. You knew they would become fully mated sooner than later. Hell, I am surprised Blake waited this long to finish the process. He is an Alpha, and you know how possessive Alphas are with their mates. You are lucky he didn't Mark her the moment he laid eyes on her," My dad said, still laughing.

"You are going to have to get over your issue with your sister being mated to Blake. Especially now that they have completed the Mating process, they will never want to be apart. She isn't a little girl anymore," My mom added and patted John on his back. "We will leave the two of you to talk," My mom finished, and then they left.

I looked at John to see him already looking at me. "You might as well say what you have been wanting to say to me," I said.

"I don't like that you are fully mated with Aurora. She is my little sister, and she isn't ready to," He started, but I cut him off,

"I don't care what you think about us being fully Mated," I said, shocking him,

"You told me you were going to wait until she was ready. Instead, you Marked and Mated with her while she was in heat. You took advantage of my sister," John said, causing me to growl.

"HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE ME OF TAKING ADVANTAGE OF MY MATE? I WOULD NEVER DO ANYTHING TO HURT HER," I said in my Alpha tone, making John kneel.

"I am sorry. I didn't mean to accuse you of hurting her. I care about my sister and want the best for her," John said.

"I care about your sister too. She is my Mate. I told you I would wait, but things changed when I couldn't get the heat under control. I am not going to lie; I am happy that we are fully mated now," I replied.

"I just don't want her getting hurt," John said

"And I would never hurt her. You and I have already had this conversation numerous times, and I am done trying to get your approval. Aurora is my Mate. We are fully Mated now, and I plan on spending the rest of my life with her. I am going to ask her to move to my floor when I get back to the hospital. Now that we are Fully Mated, I believe it is time for us to live that way," I said

"What if she isn't ready to move in with you?" John asked

"I am pretty sure she is ready. Now that we have completed the mating process, it will be hard for her to be away from me for a long time, just like it will be hard for me to stay away from her. I am done holding myself back waiting for your approval because I am sure I will never get it." I walked to Aurora's room without saying another word to John.

"Look, Blake. I am sorry for the way I spoke to you. Aurora is my little sister, and I worry about her," John said. We had just finished packing a night bag for Aurora and me and were about to head back to the Pack Hospital.

"It's cool, man. But you are going to have to get over your issue about Aurora and me being together. She is my Mate, and I am not going to let her go," I replied.

"I know, man. I am sorry, and I wanted to let you know I approve of the two of you being together. Though I am sure you didn't really care about my approval," Johns said.

"No, I honestly didn't care about your approval, but I know Aurora does, so thank you. I am pretty sure Aurora would like to hear that you approve of us," I said

"I plan on telling her when we return to the Pack Hospital."

"Alpha Blake, there is something you need to know," One of my warriors, Jack, mind-linked me as we were pulling up to the Pack Hospital.

"What is it, Jack?" I asked

"Tanya called me and asked me to help her get on Pack Territory."
