Chapter 104: Why Does It Have to Be Anne

Dorian sneered, "I'm here to pick up my fiancée."

The word "fiancée" hit Nolan hard, and he couldn't help but twitch. "Fiancée? So, you're not married yet. As long as you're not married, she's not yours."

"She's carrying my kid. It's just a matter of time before she's mine."

Dorian said it like it was no big deal. He turned to leave but then spun back around, looking at Nolan with a smug grin.

"Oh, and by the way, while you were getting your ass kicked, Anne and I were having a good time in the room."

Nolan felt like he'd been punched in the gut. No wonder Anne had all those hickeys; they were from Dorian.

His fists clenched on their own.

"So don't think just because she brought you to the hospital, it means anything. She just feels sorry for you. And stop trying to play the sympathy card. Otherwise, I can't promise you won't end up in a worse place." Dorian threatened.

"Why are you here?"

Anne came back with the medicine and saw Dorian talking to Nolan. The tension between them was thick.

Dorian turned and smiled at Anne. "I'm here to take you and the baby home. You've been gone for a few days, and Grandpa and Mom miss you. Let's go."

He grabbed Anne's hand. She hesitated, "But the medicine..."

He took the medicine from her and tossed it into Nolan's lap. "You're a grown man, you can figure out how to get a cab, right?"

Nolan's face was stone-cold, unable to even fake a smile.

Ignoring him, Dorian pulled Anne along. She followed without a word.

Once they were in the car, Dorian let go of her hand and drove her back to Windsor Manor.

Anne wanted to ask him to stay, but Dorian didn't give her the chance. He just turned and drove off.

She stood on the steps, watching him leave, feeling lost.

She suddenly felt like she didn't know Dorian anymore. If he was jealous, she could explain, but he didn't even give her the chance. She realized she might not understand him at all.

Dorian got back to Celestial University and returned to the dorm late at night. Erik and Finnian were all over him as soon as he walked in.

"Mr. Windsor, you're back late. Trouble in paradise?" Erik asked, raising an eyebrow.

Dorian ignored them, opened his laptop, and started playing a game. He glanced at the empty seat next to him. "Where's Mason?"

Finnian shrugged. "Mason? Who knows what's up with him lately. He's been coming and going at weird times. No idea where he is now."

Dorian frowned, lost interest in the game, and slammed his laptop shut.

Erik and Finnian exchanged a look. Finnian seemed to gather some courage and approached Dorian. "Mr. Windsor, we saw the news. Are you really with Mason's sister? And she's pregnant with your kid?"

Dorian didn't deny it, which was as good as confirming it. Erik and Finnian got all excited.

"I knew it! Only Mr. Windsor could win over a beauty like Anne! Mr. Windsor, you're amazing—not only winning her over but also getting her pregnant!" Erik blurted out, his excitement getting the better of him. Finnian shot him a glare before adding, "That's because Mr. Windsor is the real deal! I heard Anne was married to her ex for eight years and never got pregnant. But with Mr. Windsor, it happened just like that. Truly impressive."

Dorian gave Finnian a look that shut him up instantly. He didn't appreciate anyone talking smack about Anne.

"Mason, when did you get back? You scared me."

Mason had appeared at the door out of nowhere, startling Erik and Finnian.

Erik scratched his head awkwardly. "Did you hear what we were just saying?"

Mason ignored Erik and locked eyes with Dorian. "Come out with me!"

He dropped his backpack and walked out, not waiting to see if Dorian followed, his presence heavy with tension.

Erik and Finnian felt the pressure and wanted to warn Dorian not to go, but Dorian followed anyway.

"Oh no, I have a bad feeling. Are they going to fight? Should we go check?" Finnian paced anxiously.

"We can't get involved in this. Unless Anne comes, do you have her contact info?"

"I think I added her last time."

Dorian followed Mason to the rooftop of the dorm. The night wind was biting, cutting through their clothes.

Shadow City had just entered winter, and the wind was bone-chillingly cold.

Dorian stood behind Mason, less than three feet apart.

Mason turned to face him, and in that instant, Dorian was kicked in the waist, stumbling and nearly falling.

Mason's expression was fierce. Seeing Dorian equally angry, he charged forward, fist raised.

"I considered you my best friend! But you slept with my sister!"

Mason clenched his fist, his eyes filled with rage toward Dorian. "You have so many women chasing you, why Anne?"

"Because I love her." Dorian replied, his voice steady and sincere.

When Anne got Erik's call saying Dorian and Mason were about to fight, she rushed over. As she reached the rooftop, she heard Dorian confessing to Mason that he loved her.

It was something Dorian had never said to her face, and her heart instantly warmed.

But Mason, still furious, shouted, "You bastard!"

Mason swung his fist, but before it could land on Dorian, Anne suddenly rushed out and hugged his waist. "Mason, don't!"

He looked down at Anne's anxious face. But his rage only grew, and he tightened his grip, punching even harder.

Dorian didn't have time to dodge and took the hit.

Anne heard the sickening sound of the punch and hurriedly pulled Mason away. She looked up to see Dorian's nosebleed trickling, her heart aching at the sight..

Her eyes instantly reddened, and she turned to Mason. "Mason! Stop!"

Mason, still seething with fury, tried to shake her off and continue his assault.

"Anne, let go! I need to teach him a lesson for you."

Anne didn't understand why Mason was so angry about her being with Dorian.

She tightened her grip on Mason's wrists, trying to hold him back.

Mason even dragged her a few steps forward.

Dorian, worried she might get hurt, shouted at her, "This is a fight between men. Stay out of it!"
