Chapter 815: Got It

"Regarding the wedding, we'll hold another one once you come over here," Joseph suddenly said.

Christina lowered her head slightly and remained silent.

Seeing that Paul also didn't speak, Joseph assumed they agreed. He began planning who to invite and how to make the event grander, though he felt a bit regretful that Preston and Christina didn't have a chance.

Joseph called Paul into the study, leaving Christina and Ashley in the living room. Ashley asked the maid to prepare a plate of fruit.

She gave Christina a complex look.

The daughter-in-law she had envisioned was not like Christina, but given the circumstances and Paul's affection for Christina, there was no point in saying more.

"Christina," Ashley called her.

"Yes?" Christina sat obediently, her back straight.

Seeing her tense expression, Ashley couldn't help but laugh. "You don't need to be so nervous; I'm not going to trouble you."

Christina exhaled slowly.

Ashley took off an expensive bracelet from her wrist and put it on Christina's hand. "I know you're used to good things. This bracelet has been with me for many years. It's not particularly valuable, but consider it a token of my goodwill."

Christina hesitated for a moment but didn't refuse. She understood that this was Ashley's way of accepting her. "Thank you, Aunt Ashley."

Ashley didn't mind the way Christina addressed her. The wedding hadn't taken place yet, so there was no reason for Christina to change how she addressed her.

Ashley said, "Have some fruit."

"Okay." Christina obediently picked up a slice of apple.

For some reason, Ashley found Christina a bit endearing.

In the study, Joseph gave Paul a few instructions, mainly about treating Christina well and some wedding details. Paul responded perfunctorily.

Joseph said, "I see you haven't made much progress in the sales department. Tomorrow, report to the administration department. The manager there just resigned, so you can take his place."

The administration department? That's a pretty laid-back position.

It was clear that Joseph had taken Christina's words to heart and wanted to give Paul a stable job so they could get married sooner.

Paul smirked sarcastically. "I want the general manager position."

Joseph glared at him. "The general manager position isn't something you can just take. It requires someone capable."

"The bet isn't over yet. What's the rush?" Paul glanced at him indifferently.

Joseph's face twitched with anger. "Fine, we'll talk about it when you win the bet."

Paul smirked, got up, and left.

After going downstairs, he prepared to leave with Christina. Ashley was reluctant but knew that with Joseph at home, Christina wouldn't feel comfortable.

Paul drove Christina back to the Wallace Villa.

Paul said, "I'm not going in today. I'll pick you up for work tomorrow. By the way, Nicholas and Caroline are returning to the country tomorrow. I'll see them off in the morning and come to the hospital to have lunch with you if I have time."

Christina nodded. After meeting the parents over the past two days, she was starting to get used to their changing relationship.

Paul said, "The day after tomorrow, pack your things, and I'll take you to live in my villa."

Since they were already married, his villa was also Christina's. There was no reason for her to continue living at her aunt's house.

Christina's eyes widened. 'Is Paul planning to live with me?' Christina wondered.

"If you don't like the decoration in the villa, you can change it to your preferred style. I have no objections."

"It's not far from your aunt's house. You can walk over anytime you want to visit her." Paul continued talking, and seeing Christina in a daze, he frowned slightly and asked, "You don't want to?"

Christina snapped out of it and shook her head. "I get it. You're so naggy."

Paul glared at her. "I'm just worried you won't get used to it."

Christina smiled."I'm going in now."

"Okay." Paul watched her until she disappeared from sight and then left.

The next day, Paul arrived early outside the Wallace Villa to wait for Christina and drove her to the hospital. He handed her a bag.

"What's this?" Christina asked, puzzled.

"Wedding favors, for your colleagues."

'When did he prepare these?' Christina felt a strange sweetness in her heart. She took the bag, and inside, the wedding favors were carefully packaged in gift boxes, showing Paul's thoughtfulness.

She had taken three days off and had a lot to catch up on, but fortunately, Elowen had taken notes for her.

Christina took out the wedding favors.

Elowen's eyes turned into slits while smiling. "So you finally agreed to get married?"

Christina blushed and nodded.

Elowen said, "Good luck, Christina. Make him fall for you even more in marriage!"

"It's already working."

"What?"

Paul saw Nicholas and Caroline off at the airport. Their honeymoon trip ended here, and they missed Josie dearly after being away for so long.

"Since you've chosen to get married, don't let her down," Nicholas said to Paul.

Paul nodded heavily.

At noon, Paul arrived at the hospital to find Christina.

Christina hurried to change her clothes.

Paul walked in, carrying three meals.

"Mr. Hernandez, Ms. Reed, Mr. Rodriguez, hello." Paul placed the meals on the table. "I knew you hadn't eaten yet, so I brought these for you."

"Are you Christina's husband? You're quite handsome," Elowen said, her eyes lighting up.

Knox smiled. "That's very kind of you."

Quincy looked puzzled. "Did Miss Mitchell get married?"

"Yes, Quincy. This is Christina's wedding favor. You weren't at the hospital this morning, so she left it here," Elowen said, handing Quincy's favor to him. "It's a tradition in our country to give wedding favors to share the joy and luck."

Quincy took the favor and immediately popped a candy into his mouth. "I want some luck."

Christina changed her clothes and saw that Paul had brought food for her colleagues. She felt an indescribable sweetness in her heart.

Paul was really thoughtful, bringing food for her colleagues when he came to have lunch with her.

"I didn't know you were so good at socializing," Christina whispered in his ear as they left.

Paul responded proudly, "Don't underestimate me. I have many more qualities you don't know about. Just wait and see."

Christina hugged his arm and rested her head on his shoulder. "Alright, I'll wait and see."

Paul took her hand and held it.

Christina and Paul walking together was a sight that deeply stung Preston.

He stepped out from the shadows, his face clouded with gloom.

Yesterday, he had learned from Joseph that Paul and Christina had registered their marriage.

He had underestimated Paul, who had beaten him to it.

Preston's clenched fist trembled with anger.
