Chapter Sixty-Five
Chapter 65 Going For Her Flesh
Astral's POV
"Yes, I am here but are you not supposed to be sick..why is a man hovering over you in bed?" I heard Ariana ask and I shook my head trying to get out of the shock.
What? Ariana came to check on me. That's unbelievable!
"What are you doing here?" I asked with undiluted joy as I took in the sight of my friend cladded in all black with a baseball cap which I was sure she disguised herself with so she would not get recognized.
"Don't you want me to be here?" She asked me and I shook my head
"No, it's just that…I was saying but Adriana cut me off, scrutinizing Gael who was beside me and I hoped that she recognized her backside and did not make any mistakes since Gael was not facing her.
"Even though you don't like your grumpy husband, don't you think it's not proper to grumble another man on a sick bed? Or is that a prescription to get well? Or did you long for the touch of a man?" Ariana asked me with a wink and I got uncomfortable knowing that she had completely gotten the wrong idea and taken it the wrong way.
"What did you mean? This is a complete misunderstanding!" I say giving her a face that she should stop talking since the man she was bad-mouthing was sitting in the room.
"What did you mean it's a misunderstanding? Did you think I was going to judge you, my friend? No, I will never do that, it's your loss for missing out on a premium offer like you but if you would not mind can you introduce the lucky man to be," I heard Ariana say pointing to Gael and I gasped wondering how my friend has reduced in IQ so much that she doesn't even know when to stop.
"What! You want to get introduced after saying so much?" I asked and Ariana scoffed.
"What! Don't tell me that he is offended by all that I have said. Is he that petty too? Stop getting yourself petty man, Astral! They are no good," Ariana sighed and my stomach churned in fear seeing Gael's expression I prayed that my friend would stop talking already because I was about to drop dead on the floor.
'Why can't she just keep quiet!" I exclaimed inwardly and I wondered when my friend became that talkative.
She was the most reserved person I know but it looks like heaven was not on my side before my friend kept making everything worse and it was like she was not stopping soon.
"Really? But too bad you are going to get introduced to her petty husband instead," Gale says, turning around and I watched Ariana's mouth go wide open.
"Is he.." Ariana asked looking at me and I nodded my head telling her that she had made lots of mistakes that day.
"Since it looks like you have a lot of reservations about me, don't you think we should catch up on a cup of coffee?" Gael asked, but his voice was not asking and Ariana knew that too I suddenly felt bad for my friend because she was looking completely helpless as she followed Gael out.
I sighed seeing how I had been left alone and I decided to catch a nap since I was still feeling weary from my sleep but that was cut short when I heard the door to my room open and someone walked in.
"Hi Astral, I didn't know you woke up already just trying to check on you," Kimberly says looking at me and I wondered when her condescending words sounded like she was checking up on me.
"I have been feeling helpless after what happened to you and I can't hold myself anymore that's why I came despite my busy schedule," she says and I wondered what she was on all about.
I did not say anything as I was speechless by her shamelessness and seeing that I was g talking she dropped the flowers that she was holding and she decided to leave in graceful steps but I was not allowing her.
"The accident..it's you, right?" I asked Kimberly, tearing a tight smile at her and I watched her expression flicker she quickly adjusted it but I was quick to catch on.
'Looks like it's you..you sneaky b^tch' I thought with a smile plastered on my cheeks.
"What? What are you saying? How can I have anything to do with the accident when I wasn't the one driving it?" Kimberly asked, her voice a little bit shaky and I smiled seeing how she wasn't able to mask our anxiousness.
"Really? You might not be the one that drives the car but you might be the one that ordered the attack," I say and Kimberly chuckles hearing my words and I wonder which one of my words amused her that greatly.
"You have a wild imagination, Astral but the problem here is..you can't prove those weird imaginations but I must commend you for it," Kimberly said and I bit my lips angrily knowing that she was right.
There is no way I can prove those hunches and guesses that means even though I was sure that Kimberly was the one behind the attack I still need to prove it.
"Then be sure that I will be waving the proof at your face immediately I get my hold on it," I sat through clenched teeth looking at Kimberly with utmost hatred, and safely almost met my fury gaze.
"Then you should make sure that you have plenty of them...I would be waiting," Kimberly said and she stepped out of the hospital room with her heels clicking behind her and she looked completely undefeatable.
"I am going to make sure I find evidence... Kimberly and I are going to crush you to pieces.
'Watch me as I come for your flesh and I promise not to let go until I taste blood'...
