Chapter 58: Chapter fifty-Eight

Kimberly's POV

I jittered into my room anxiously waiting for the man I asked to work for me to come in so that I could ask him how the job went.

'I need this plan to work..that's the only way I can get back at that insolent girl' I thought as I looked at my phone anxiously but a knock on my hotel room door broke into my thoughts.

"Who is that?" I asked and the door creaked open revealing a scrawny-looking man I scrunched up my nose in disgust but I was quick to not let it show.

"Hi ma'am," the man greeted shyly looking at his feet and I rolled my eyes seeing his actions.

The only reason I was able to trust him despite his obsessed actions and his creepy shyness towards me was because he said he was a hardcore fan of mine and he was ready to do anything for me. That was the reason I accepted him to work for me.

'But it looks like I am making a higher mistake' I pondered but I shrugged it off knowing I could easily let him take the blame if things went haywire.

"So have you been able to do the job?" I asked him with a smile and I watched him get lost staring at my face and I smiled.

'Of course, men got confused by just staring at me,' I smirked inwardly at his reaction.

"Yes, and I am sure that there would not be a mistake," he assured and I smiled at him, taking his hands in mine.

"Oh? Thank you so much," I say and he nods his head shyly.

"But can I ask you why you are doing this?" He asked, and I rolled my eyes wondering how a person like that had the nerve to tell me what to do.

"She.. bullies me," I say playing a victim card as I wiped my invisible tears and I saw the man buy it as he was completely sold out.

After consoling me and cursing Astral to rot in hell I dismissed him because I was getting choked by his presence.

After dismissing him my manager came in and she looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"You are going through with it?" She asked me and I shrugged my shoulders.

"I don't know why you are doing this Kimberly, I mean you can get back at her but don't you think you are taking it too far? I mean you can just scare her but going this far on a set is something I do not think that you should do," my manager says and I snorted hearing her words.

I have always known her to be someone that do not have the balls to take bigger risks than me... Kimberly I do not mind dining with the devil to get what I want and no one is going to stop me from getting that.

Astral's POV

The shooting site was set and the crew assembled making sure to get all the site ready I looked at how everyone was busy trying to make the shooting commence.

I looked through my script as I tried to get the emotions right for the best scene where the female lead step-sister planned a hit-and-run for her.

"She is completely evil…just like the person that is playing it," I say, raising my head as I watched Kimberly walk towards me and I wondered what she was up to.

"Oh, you are preparing for the next scene, that's cute..that's my best scene in the script," she says and I rolled my eyes trying to avoid her because the crazy woman in front of me was too friendly.

"But did you know that this scene is also the most dangerous? I mean..you could die while shooting it," she says and I felt shivers as she whispered it to me.

'What! Is she crazy? What does she mean by that?' I pondered and I wondered if she was trying to scare me so I would chicken out of the shoot…that was a cheap move by her this time around.

"What are you saying?" I asked suddenly curious about what the girl was saying in parables but she just laughed telling me that I should not get too curious.

"You should not get curious Astral…I mean being curious doesn't suit you, don't forget that curiosity kills the cat," Kimbsaid said holding up my chin and I slapped her hands away angrily but she was a bit annoyed.

"Oh, my sweet baby it looks like you are angry…but don't be too mad you haven't even seen the real deal yet," she says and I wondered what she was saying all of a sudden.

I was so angry and irritated at the girl's audacity that I brushed her off and I dismissed her angrily but I still heard her laughing like a maniac as she went and I wondered what could be going on.

"What real deal is safe talking about?" I pondered and I remembered her other words.

"Curiosity killed the cat, but am I the cat?" I mumbled to myself and I wondered why I was starting to attach meaning to her words.

'Why am I thinking too much, I am sure it's just some trash talk' I thought nodding my head.

"Is everyone okay, standby!" The director yelled and I knew it was my time to get ready for the shoot and I walked towards the shooting site.

"Are you ready for this Astral?" The director asked, and I sighed knowing my answer should be no but I wasn't going to do that.

"Yes, I am ready," I say and he nods his head ordering the light manager to be on standby.

"And now action!" The director called and I turned around changing facial expressions to fit the scene but I noticed Kimberly waving at me and I got confused.

'What was that for?' I wondered and I suddenly had a bad feeling about it…
