Chapter 61
"Of course," Matt didn't even hesitate and said decisively.
"So, you're saying that once the novelty wears off, we'll break up someday in the future?"
Susie stared at Matt with displeasure written all over her face.
Clearly, Matt's answer had upset his little wildcat.
"But every day, you're fresh, attractive, even irresistible to me."
Matt reached out and gently pinched Susie's butt.
"So, when are you planning to finish eating and do some grown-up things with me?"
Matt lowered his voice as he spoke to Susie.
His gaze couldn't help but fall on Gian, who was still going at it like a teddy bear.
"It'll take a while longer. At least let's see how long Gian can last." Susie said to Matt with a smile.
"You naughty little wildcat."
While the two were whispering, Susie noticed Somme, who had been having fun in the pool, heading toward the bathroom with his date.
"Oh, what a player," Susie said slowly, staring at Somme and the girl's backs.
"I don't understand what you mean," Matt asked Susie, full of curiosity.
"You probably don't know, but I accidentally ran into Somme confessing to a pretty girl with a bouquet of roses before. And now today, he's already sleeping with another girl."
Looking at the indignant Susie, Matt found it somewhat amusing. "You need to get used to the fact that men change girlfriends about as often as they change clothes."
"Oh, I think it might take me a long time to get used to that."
"But just let them fool around," Matt said to Susie with a smile.
"At least I'm faithful to you."
"What if one day you betray me too?"
Susie grabbed Matt's tie and said slowly.
"How about this..."
Matt leaned close to Susie's ear. "You can turn me into a useless wreck, so I can't sleep with other women anymore."
"What a vicious curse." Hearing Matt's words, Susie couldn't help but sigh.
"If that happened, I think not just the men in the pool, but everyone in the Loren family would hunt me down. After all, I destroyed their leader!"
As Susie spoke, she crossed her arms and shivered. "Just thinking about it is terrifying."
"But this strawberry dessert looks really good." Susie's topic shift was completely unexpected.
Matt looked at Susie with amusement. "So, after you finish this strawberry cake, can we get down to business?"
"I've always thought eating is the real business." Susie pretended not to understand.
"My little wildcat, you know that's not what I'm talking about." Matt gently bit Susie's ear.
"I want to go to the private lounge for a special drink."
Susie said this and headed straight toward the lounge.
Matt had no choice but to get up and follow Susie.
"What would you like to drink, beautiful lady?" the bartender asked Susie with a smile.
Probably because she was a beauty, Susie always got special treatment wherever she went.
"I'm thinking something to cut through the richness." Susie smiled at the bartender.
"I want something strong," Matt added.
Then, while Susie was getting her drink, he gently pinched her waist.
Susie frowned and looked at Matt with confusion.
"I don't want you smiling so brightly at any man except me," Matt said to Susie.
Susie was speechless. Who would have thought a mafia boss could be so jealous?
"Fine." Susie sighed.
"From now on, I'll try to look as cold as ice."
Seeing Susie being so cooperative, Matt's expression relaxed a bit. "My dear little wildcat, I'm very satisfied with your performance."
After finishing the drink in her glass, Susie's head felt a bit dizzy.
The Matt in front of her seemed even more charming.
"Oh, handsome gentleman, may I invite you to dance?"
Hearing the lively background music, Susie stared at Matt with hazy eyes.
"My little wildcat, do you think you're at a nightclub picking out male models?"
Matt stared intently at the little wildcat in front of him.
But Susie's hands gently caressed Matt's face. "If you don't behave, I don't mind tying you up and taking you away."
Then she simply threatened Matt, "You have no idea how good I am at tying ropes. Last time, I even tied up a mafia boss at a Halloween party and brought him home."
Hearing Susie rambling about her heroic deeds, Matt couldn't help but tease, "And then?"
"So, if even a mafia boss can't escape my grasp, do you think you can get away?"
"Oh, miss, you seem to be threatening me."
Matt seemed to enjoy this feeling of being threatened.
As if the two of them were playing some interesting game.
"If you don't want to dance, I don't mind finding a quiet place to chat with you."
Susie gently hooked her finger around Matt's waistband and said slowly.
The breath from her mouth carried a faint strawberry scent.
"Sure, my little wildcat. I think today's game is more exciting than ever."
Matt smiled and went along with the already drunk little wildcat.
She clearly couldn't hold her liquor, yet she drank so much.
Swaying as she pulled Matt's pants toward the elevator, they were spotted by Gian, who had just finished.
"Oh, Matt, even on such a day worth celebrating, you're leaving early with Miss Susie?" Gian joked.
Of course, everyone knew why the two of them were leaving early.
"I think you'd better keep quiet right now, or else..."
Matt's gaze slowly fell on the blonde woman behind Gian, his eyes threatening.
Everyone close to Matt, even their relationships, had to get Matt's approval.
"Oh, alright, I guess I didn't see anything." Gian smiled and looked away.
He knew Matt too well.
