Chapter 272

Harlyn

"It looks so good on you, oh my goodness!"

I did a three-sixty turn for her and laughed when the women cheered.

"I know a secret."

Patricia let out and the three of us stared at her curiously.

"Tell us,"

Leah told her when Patricia didn't speak. She smiled.

"I don't know if you will believe me but the queen mother had the dresses remade for her."

She said and pointed at me. I stared at her in shock and confusion. There's no way that's true.

"You are joking, right? Harlyn became Luna not too long ago and my grandma has been gone for over a year now. She died way before the alpha and Harlyn got together."

Leah said and I nodded in agreement. It just didn't make any sense.

"I am not joking or lying. The queen mother knew you would one day be queen. At least that's what she kept telling us. If you don't believe me then you can ask the other worker, though she has stopped working at the palace. She knows, everyone who worked close to the queen mother knew."

I didn't know what to say and even Leah looked shocked. I mean, she did tell me a lot of things that make it believable that she knew that I would become the queen but going as far as making royal dresses for me? I don't really know about that.

"That's a lot. Are you certain? It's a sweet gesture but I don't want you lying on her name just to create emotional moments."

Leah let out. She looked close to tears.

"My princess, I am not lying. Even the dressmaker knows. Also, she got your measurement a few months before she became too ill to do anything, didn't she?"

I remembered but I also remember that she gave me the dresses she had the dressmaker make for me to me. Even though I never got to wear the dresses because they were just too pretty to wear while working in the palace and I never had anywhere nice to wear any of them to.

"She gifted me three dresses."

I told them.

"Yeah, but she got your measurement, which means she isn't making things up! I can't believe that old woman didn't tell me!"

Leah complained. She wiped her eyes. I felt emotional too and was impressed. The queen mother had a vision and prepared for the future even though back then all I had was a crush on her very out-of-reach grandson. I smiled knowing that he wasn't so out of reach anymore. Now, he belongs to me and loves me so much. If it helps, I love him just as much and our love already gave us a new life that was currently growing inside my womb.

"Thank you for telling us,"

I told Patricia who bowed and smiled. The dress was already pretty on me but knowing that the queen mother went out of her way to make the dresses for me even without a full guarantee that I would one day be queen made the dress a hundred times more beautiful to me. Thank goodness that everything she hoped for happened and I get to wear one of the pretty dresses today.

"Yeah, thank you. We should get you ready, we don't have a lot of time anymore."

Leah said. I took the dress off in their presence and sat in front of the mirror again. Silvia worked on my hair while Leah did my makeup. It took about forty minutes for my makeup and hair to be done and then I wore the dress again paired with a pair of comfortable flats because Leah said that even though I wasn't showing yet, I should dress for comfort.

"Being a natural beauty has a lot of advantages and zero disadvantages. The only reason you look so effortlessly pretty isn't because of the mild makeup I did on you but because you are so beautiful."

I smiled at Leah's words. My phone buzzed and I reached for it thinking it would be my mate but it turned out to be my twin. She wanted to know where I was as she had been looking for me all afternoon.

I texted her back with my current location and gave her a little summary of my day and what I was currently up to before adding that I might leave before she arrived. She texted back and told me to stay put as she wanted to see me before I left.

"Okay, we wait here because the king said he will come for you. If you have any questions, now will be the time to ask."

Leah told me. I smiled.

"I don't really have any questions right now but thank you for making me beautiful. This look is just great for Sean and Theo are over party."

She laughed at my words.

"What? That's so fitting! It's indeed Sean and Theo are over party. Maybe we should pop another champagne tonight."

I nodded even before she finished speaking.

"For someone who can't drink for now, you sure are enthusiastic."

I turned at the sound of my sister's voice. I didn't expect her to already be here.

"That was fast!"

I let out and stood up to hug her. I turned to Patricia and Silvia when we pulled apart from the hug. Both women looked shocked which means they didn't know about Helaine's arrival. With the size of the palace, it wasn't a shocker that a lot of people didn't know about my siblings yet. Especially since they haven't been formally introduced. It will happen soon.

"Ladies, meet my twin sister, Helaine. Laine, Tricia, and Silvia, they helped me get ready."

I introduced them. Helaine said hi to the ladies who were still in awe. I just knew they were about to go tell everyone who cared to listen that the rumors about the Luna having a twin were true. Oh, there are about to be much more juicy things to talk about. I kind of wanted to be part of the gist that I know will happen at the staff quarters.
