Chapter 26: It Used to Be Small Fry

As it turned out, Brent not only didn't blush, he even felt it was justified. The next morning, Rainer Entertainment and the event organizers jointly issued a press release informing fans how to obtain tickets for Lilian's meet-and-greet on the day of the event.

After this announcement was made, various curses followed closely behind.

"Ah ah ah, Lilian is still participating in this subpar product's platform. How broke is she? If she really goes, she will end up like those low-quality products and become a complete wild chicken model."

"Heh heh, I used to think that she would be a breath of fresh air in the modeling industry. I must have been blind!"

"After tomorrow, please disappear from public view with your subpar product."

"Looking at the comments full of insults...and Lilian attending the platform with a smile despite all these insults earns my respect. From now on you are my most hated female star without exception!"

Hillary sat in Brent's office chair at Rainer Entertainment while watching Lilian being cursed all over social media and feeling great about it.

Lilian wanted to argue back but didn't consider her own weight. No matter how many signs there were before that indicated her comeback as a model, after tomorrow her modeling career would be completely crushed again and even more miserable than three years ago. At that time Hillary could enjoy mocking Lilian once again; something others couldn't experience.

At this moment Lilian was also at Rainer Entertainment preparing for tomorrow's platform activity meeting - or more specifically what she had to say during it - when Brent handed her company-prepared script and specially instructed her: "Lilian, memorize this script well tonight so you won't forget what to tell reporters tomorrow."

"This is your biggest reason for participating in this platform activity."

When Brent handed her the script, did he not feel any shame at all?

On the way back, Elena drove while Sylvia and Lilian sat in the back seat. Sylvia pointed to the press release with anger on her face: "Is Brent playing a joke on me? He's really gone too far just to whitewash Hillary. He has no humanity at all and doesn't care about stabbing you in your heart."

Elena looked at Lilian through the rearview mirror but Lilian remained calm.

Even someone like herself who had experienced ups and downs in showbiz could see that Brent was truly heartless. However, as for Lilian who was directly involved, she didn't show any emotions.

"Lilian, what are we going to do tomorrow?" Elena asked. "I've prepared everything you asked me to prepare including all evidence such as recordings of Hillary repeatedly preventing you from getting endorsements."

"Tomorrow...I will officially announce my comeback during the event," said Lilian seriously to both of them. "Sylvia, I trust completely but...Elena!"

"No need to say it; having been in this industry for so long my mind is often unclear but you have shown me which direction is right." Elena replied challengingly.

"All evidence should be sold exclusively to major media outlets after I finish participating in this platform activity," said Lilian seriously. "It used to be small fry before; I was too gentle with those two scumbags before but now they will only experience my most fierce revenge methods."

"Great!" Sylvia almost jumped up happily.

Lilian's words made even Elena and Sylvia feel excited about trampling on those two scumbags since seeing how Lilian had been betrayed, humiliated and trampled upon would make any woman angry deep down inside - especially when her retaliation involves stepping on those two scumbags!Elena knew that Lilian lived in Beverly Hills, but she didn't know that Lilian was living with Kevin.

Lilian didn't fully trust Elena yet, so when they arrived at their destination, Lilian asked Elena to take Sylvia home.

When they entered the house, Kevin had already finished work and was lying calmly on the sofa with his tall and handsome figure, using his right arm to cover his eyes from the bright light. Lilian smiled softly and walked quietly over to sit next to Kevin, tracing her finger gently over his strong features: "Why don't you go sleep in bed?"

"The company you're standing for tomorrow, Century Studios has sent a lawyer's letter accusing them of fraud." Kevin sat up and looked at Lilian. "Probably by tomorrow afternoon the news will leak out."

"It doesn't matter; I'm only standing in the morning," replied Lilian as she lay down on Kevin's chest.

Although Lilian did not say it explicitly, Kevin seemed to understand what she wanted to do tomorrow. And Lilian also understood that after doing so tomorrow, Century Studios would definitely not let her off easily. That's why she never bothered dealing with small companies like Century Studios until now when they sent a lawyer's letter.

"Husband thank you..."

"Thank me for what?" asked Kevin as he lightly stroked her back.

"Thank you for understanding me so well and protecting me..."

Kevin remained silent as he leaned down along Lillian’s legs placing his head on her lap: “My eyes hurt from reading documents all day.”

“Then I'll read it for you…” Lillian picked up an English document that Kevin hadn’t finished reading yet and read it aloud very professionally. But after finishing it she sighed again: “When Victoria offered me such favorable conditions before I met you three years ago… how could I have known if I hadn't gone through these three years? So, God is fair and really saved the best for last.”

“Which talent agency do you want to sign with after terminating your contract with Rainer Entertainment?”

“It's too early…” Lilian shook her head because she didn't know how far she could restore her position at that time, so she still had no idea.

"Sign with me..."

"There are plenty of models like me in Century Studios!" Lilian admitted that it was not very realistic for her to enter Century Studios.

Kevin smiled and did not continue this topic because his little wife obviously did not understand his true meaning. Signing with him does not mean signing a contract with Century Studios. This contract he offered would be unique in the world as he only wanted to be her one-of-a-kind agent.

However, this surprise will have to wait until later. Although he is Lilian's husband, Kevin still needs to see if Lilian is truly worth building up like this.

Because he couldn’t stand seeing Lilian feeling inferior, Kevin got up from her legs and hooked his arm around her neck forcing a kiss: “I won't allow you to belittle yourself.”

"In fact, I know you just want an excuse for a kiss!" Lillian grabbed Kevin’s warm hand and placed it on her chest: "I want you to go further…"
