Chapter 165: Facebook Post

Samantha's Point Of view

By the time we went back home it was already evening and Noah was tired; he could barely walk. Luckily we had our dinner outside, I only bathed him and made him wear his sleepwear. I tucked him into his blanket and started singing him his favorite lullaby to put him to sleep.

“Mommy..” Noah called out to me..

“Yes my boy, what's wrong?” I asked softly..

“Thank you.” He whispered.

“Why are you thanking me?”

“You are the best mommy in the world. I love you so much!”

I chuckled at his words. “Aww, thank you my boy. You are the best son in the world and mommy loves you a lot okay.”

Noah smiled. “I know mommy loves me. I was sad but you made me happy.”

I ruffled his hair gently. “Next time don't hide anything from me again okay. Tell me what's bothering you and I will fix it all for you.”

“You fix everything like a super hero.”

“I am your super hero. I will fix all your problems okay.”

Noah nodded, smiling. “I won't hide anything from you again, mommy.”

“Good boy.. Now go to sleep.” I placed a soft kiss on his forehead. “Good night.”

“Good night mommy.” His voice was low. He was falling asleep already. I covered him properly with his blanket and I got up from the bed. I made my way to the door, switching off the lights. I flung the door open and stepped out of his room and closed the door.

“Hey, sweetheart.” Nicholas’s voice made me turn my attention to the closet and my gaze found him standing there wearing sweat pants with no shirt on.

A grin spread across my lips as I strode towards him. “You are back..” I wrapped my arms around him as soon as I reached where he was standing.

He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer. “I couldn't wait to come back home. I was missing you like crazy.”

“I thought you weren't coming home today.”

“I thought so too but I decided to cut the meeting short.”

I moved out of his embrace and faced him. “How was your day?”

He exhaled deeply. “Terrible.”

“What happened, you look tired?” I narrowed my eyes on him.

“I had a long day.” He pulled me into a hug again, resting his head on my shoulder. “How was your day?”

I sighed. “I had a long, bad and tiring day.”

Nicholas pulled me out of his embrace and faced me, his eyebrow wrinkling. “What happened?” He asked.

“Cassandra’s son has been bullying our son at school.”

I explained everything that had happened today and how I went to Noah's school with Sam and everything that happened afterward.

“How dare she let her son do that to my son?” His voice turned cold, gaze darkening.

“She wasn't even guilty about it.” I informed him. “She even asked about your whereabouts. I just don't understand where she gets the nerves from.”

I swear all I wanted was to grab her by her hair and show her what I was made off but I didn't want to do that in front of my son–he was too young to be exposed in such a toxic environment-he was just a six year old sweet boy who believed in goodness and I won't shatter his beliefs.

“She had messed with the wrong person. I will show her her place.” Nicholas clenched his jaws. He grasped his top from the closet and shut it closed. He walked past me making his way to the nightstand where he picked his phone and made his way to the balcony.

I smirked. I've been waiting for a day where he'd teach that woman a lesson. It's not like I couldn't but her father was an important figure in the house–I stopped doing anything because I respected him so much but his daughter was mentally unstable.

I made my way to the nightstand, grabbing my phone. I settled on the bed and started scrolling on my Facebook.

But one post made me halt and take a good look at it. It was an image of me and Cassandra. The caption said ‘Samantha or Cassandra ʼ. From head to toe we were wearing the same thing. I was more than certain that I didn't copy her and there's no way she'd done it too but this was too much of a coincidence.

I clicked on the comments.

‘Oh my gosh! Samantha looks so hot ʼ

‘It's clear who copied the other. Anyways Samantha is stunning!”

‘Samantha! ʼ

There were more than one hundred comments. I couldn't read all of them but questions started swirling in my mind. Who posted this picture and why? Surely no one would just follow me around and take pictures of me to compare them with Cassandra. That wasn't even all, she was practically dressed the same way as me.

What was she trying to do actually? I switched my phone off and tossed it on the bed. Cassandra wasn't that important, I won't allow her to get inside my head and try to mentally abuse me. I don't care what she does, I wasn't competing with her. Nicholas was mine and that's where the story ends.

But the question didn't stop swirling in my brain. Could it be that she used her son as a way to make me come to that school. She was up to something and that thing wasn't going to be good for either me or Nicholas.

Or maybe I'm blinded by jealousy and frustration. That must be the case. She was harmless, she won't be able to do anything to me or my son. I won't let her get away with it even if she tries to. I will make sure she regrets it.

We were both powerful but I was more powerful to a point of making decisions in the Main House. People listened to me and supported me while she was just a daughter of the mafia lord but I fought for everything I had. That's the difference between us.
