Chapter 71: Gone

Alan's POV

I shuddered where I laid, panting hard, my dick harden and I blew out air. My lips muffled his name, my eyes red and heavy.

Shit, not again, I can't believe I keep fucking Darius in my dreams.

Everywhere seems dark and I took me a while to gain my breath. This must be day 5.

I scroll my eyes around, parting the hair that covers my face and coughing softly. My chest was aching and so was my waist.

My room looks unkept, I haven't been taking care of myself since Darius was away.

If he were here, he'd scold me like a child and force me to arrange. Even when I don't want him in, he'd break in.

I spread my arms on the bed, his image not leaving my head, I felt he was right beside me, pressing his lips on my back.

Licking my skin that alluring face of his. Perhaps, I was going crazy as always.

I felt so worried, lonely and isolated. Not a call have come in. Slowly, I rose from the bed, paced towards where I kept a calendar sitting on a table at a corner of my room.

I fluttered my eyes and gawp. Fuck! It's day 14 actually and I haven't seen him around.

Would he be fine? I just wanted him to leave the house and not spend time in prison.

I didn't even know what went through or if the court summoned a hearing. It seems I had ghosted the rest of the world as my phone had been shut down since he left.

One thing was obvious, Darius has been the one check mating my social life. If he were around, he would have mocked me, reprimanded and tell I shouldn't have existed.

Thinking of his words brought a sad smile on my lips. If I'd just visit him today. I'd free him from the crimes, then...what would I even say?

Sorry? I'm not actually at fault. I just happen to have a nightmare which was terrifying and then related it to how grudgingly he murders people in the house.

Lazily moving into the bathroom to have a bath.

Once I was done freshening up, I took my phone and stared at the door. I had a queer feeling that perhaps, he was outside, waiting for me.

I spur the door open and there was no one. I want to stop myself from thinking of him.

I tried to convince myself that he got a he justice he deserves but then why do I feel I was wrong?

It took a while for me to come up with a conclusion to visit him. I was nervous though, arriving at the prison to receive him.

It was as though I was expectant and I just didn't know why he was delaying.

I folded my lips as the prison warder returns and said;

"He's gone"

"What? How, I mean he was meant to serve in prison" I pointed out and the prison warder was about to clear the air when detective gary appeared.

He ordered the officer to leave us alone and when the officer was gone, he turned his eyes towards me.

"Alan right?" He began and I nodded with a heavy eyes and burdened heart.

"We tried contacting you for more evidence, however, it felt as though you were out of extinction" he addresses in a bitter tone.

I just didn't want to hear that, I was here for Darius not a tale that would be disheartening.

"Where's Darius?"

The detective hesitated before replying, tugged his hands in his pocket and said;

"He got away this time too, base on the fact that the evidence you provided was fabricated"

I growl inside me, it only means darius is out. But why was I so relieved when I literally locked him up there?

"Oh" I replied just to appear sympathetic and annoyed.

"So where's he now?" I furthered with probing eyes at the detective.

"In another country somewhere, his father doesn't want that prodigal son to stain his name you know and his lover, Bryan came up with facts to debunk the news. He got lucky again" he concluded and walked out on him.

The information he passed across was quite disturbing and I could feel the hate in his tone, especially when he had waited so long to capture Darius.

However, I was more devastated that he was gone. It breaks me and now I realized that I needed him all along.

My heart aches the more. I could tell Bryan ceased this opportunity to be more close to Darius and he'd forget about me once he's gone.

I almost fell limply to the ground, as my breath ceased. Hastily, I rushed outside the precinct.

I didn't want to call him because it would be a mistake on my path...I tried divya's contact but it turns out she wasn't replying or she's furious with me for taking her brother far away from him.

I'd be sincere, I was missing him. I shouldn't have let my nightmare taken control of my mind.

I shouldn't have blamed him for my depressed state after the death of peris.

I lost him again!

I rushed into my car, with panic at heart and in a subconscious state of mind.

I got to the mansion and found Divya exhausted and at the pavement.

It seems she was returning from somewhere and look exhausted. I hasten my footsteps closer to her before she could get in.

"Divya, where's Darius?"

She hault her steps and then threw her face to me. She had fury in her eyes but it was replaced by the tears that clouded them.

"Why are you asking about him when we're just seeing after two weeks?" She brawl fuming and wanting to explode right there.

Divya scoffed and sniffed, trying to hold back her tears as she folded her lips.

She demanded an answer but I wasn't willing to answer as Darius is only who I care about.

"It's always Darius, tell me Alan, are you into my brother?"
