Chapter 152

William smiled and said, "What's there to be afraid of? Once the project is handed over to you, just finish it on time and up to standard. As for the Tilden family, after what Patrick did today, I guarantee the Tilden family won't last much longer in Georgia."

Rowan felt a chill run down her spine and quickly said, "Mr. Brown, do you know what you're saying? Yes, I know with your power, you might really be able to take down the Garcia family. But the Tilden family—that's a marquis family. How many marquis families are there in all of Georgia? You should know full well how many forces are tied to a marquis family, right?"

William frowned and said impatiently, "Ms. Blair, since you asked me to help you secure this project with the Tilden family, now that the project is almost in hand, just take it back and report to your family. As for things that haven't happened yet, what's the point of worrying about them now? Besides, since I can promise you that the Tilden family's anger won't reach the Blair family, then it definitely won't. Even if the Tilden family really does send people to cause trouble for the Blair family, just call me when that happens and I'll step in to handle it for you."

Seeing the confident expression on William's face, Rowan unclenched her fists and wiped the sweat from her palms on her clothes.

After a few seconds of silence, she chose to trust William again.

After all, given the current situation, this was the only option she had.

Less than twenty minutes later, Patrick's assistant rushed in from outside, sweat dripping from his head.

After entering, when he saw the scene before him, he collapsed to the floor.

Seeing this, Patrick quickly shouted, "Come here! What are you standing there for? Hurry up and give the contract to Ms. Blair."

Patrick's assistant used all his strength to stand up from the floor and shakily handed the contract to Rowan sitting on the sofa.

Rowan's hands trembled badly as she took the contract.

She never would have imagined securing the cooperation with the Tilden family this way.

William remained calm as water, sitting next to Rowan. After she received the contract, he didn't forget to remind her carefully, "Read it carefully. Don't rush."

Rowan nodded lightly.

A moment later, after she finished reading the contract and confirmed there were no terms unfavorable to the Blair family, she picked up the pen on the table to sign and stamp it.

William handed Rowan's copy of the contract to her, then stood up holding Patrick's copy. "Ms. Blair, you can go wait for me in the car for a few minutes now."

Rowan asked uneasily, "What else are you planning to do?"

William said bluntly, "I still have some personal matters to handle."

Rowan opened her mouth. The words reached her lips but she swallowed them back down.

After a few seconds of silence, Rowan turned and left.

The moment she walked out the villa door, Rowan couldn't hold back her tears any longer.

Of course, she wasn't crying from being moved or excited, but from fear.

In the spacious living room, Patrick was still moaning in pain on the opposite sofa.

William walked forward slowly with the contract and stood in front of Patrick before asking seriously, "Mr. Tilden, now I want to ask you about something else."

Patrick quickly said, "Please ask, please ask..."

William stared into Patrick's eyes. "Eight years ago, the Garcia family received orders to hunt down William of the Brown family. Do you know about this?"

Patrick was clearly stunned, but soon shook his head. "I don't know. I don't know anything."

What Patrick didn't realize was that his expression just now had already betrayed him.

Seeing this, William said with a cold smile, "Mr. Tilden, go back and tell the head of the Tilden family that either he makes time to come see me in Novaria recently, or in a few days after I finish handling matters in Novaria, I'll personally go to Atlanta to find him. When that time comes, I hope he can tell me every detail about what happened back then."

After saying this, William slowly turned around.

However, after walking only a short distance, William suddenly remembered something and stopped again. He casually threw the contract onto Patrick's face and said word by word, "Mr. Tilden, today's events have nothing to do with the Blair family. If the Tilden family wants to go after the Blair family, you can kill me first, then go cause trouble for the Blair family. Otherwise, if I'm still alive and you go after the Blair family, next time I'll make you unable to live or die!"

Patrick was stunned hearing William's words.

From William's tone, he could sense that the other party truly seemed to have such means and power.

After watching William leave, Patrick shouted loudly at the remaining guards, "What are you looking at? Hurry up and get me a doctor!"

The guard who had just followed William's orders to hurt Patrick came over to Patrick's side with the other guards.

Patrick's eyes immediately turned bloodshot as he stared at this guard and said to the others, "Break both his legs first, then cripple him!"

William didn't care about what was happening inside the villa.

After all, whether these guards lived or died had nothing to do with him.

Outside, when William got into Rowan's car, Rowan looked deathly pale, clutching the contract in her hand, her face full of anxiety.

She kept muttering, "What do I do? What do I do now?"

William was somewhat curious. The contract was already in hand—what was there left to worry about?

"The contract is already in your hands. What are you still worried about?"

Rowan looked at William with tears in her eyes and asked, "Tell me, when I go back later, how do I explain this contract to my family? Should I tell them everything that happened here today? I don't dare, I really don't dare. If I tell my father about this, given his mental capacity, I think he'd be scared to death on the spot."

William showed a slight smile and said casually, "It won't come to that. Just go back and tell your father that I helped you get this contract. Also, tell him to prepare to start construction on the project. The Blair family doesn't need to worry about anything else."

Rowan asked seriously, "Really? Is that really okay?"

William said with certainty, "Of course it's okay. Why would I lie to you?"

Rowan sighed and said quietly, "Alright, but for the next few days, could you please keep your phone on at all times? I'm afraid we might run into trouble."

William nodded. "Sure, I can do that."
