Chapter 16

Jessica smiled at him before withdrawing her hands. She picked up the tray and began to eat as if there was no tomorrow.

" Slow down or you might choke please" Davis said with a smile, while passing her the water.

He discovered during there stay together that she loved beacons alot. Most breakfast made by her is always beacons but there was something strange about her. She's always guilded around him as if she doesn't want to fall inlove with anyone.

In no time she was done eating.

" Am done" She smiled looking at Davis.

She was about to say something when a knock interrupted them. They turned their attention towards the door and saw Robin peeping through the door.

" Come in sweetie" Jessica called, widening her arms. He ran straight to her and jumped on her, she smiled and picked his cheek.

" Good morning mom, morning dad" he greeted while smiling at his father. They was just rolled his eyes in jealousy.

" I thought I was forgotten, you never remember me this day's. All you think about is your mother" Davis said in a shaky voice, faking tears.

Robin smiled his father's reaction.

" Maybe be because I love mom more than you" he said hugging Jessica tightly.

Tried of watching the fight between the father and the son, so she decided to change the topic.

" Why aren't you in school today?" Jessica asked.

" My school is on 2 weeks break because of the innovation happening in our class. I thought that told you. He was told when he came to pick me up yesterday" Robin rolled his eyes.

" Sorry I forgot to tell you. By the way Robin is going to visit one of my auntie's and he's going to be spend his two weeks break there" Davis announced standing up from his sit.

" Yeah I made the preparations since yesterday so I'll be leaving soon that's why I came to say goodbye" Robin said with excitement, as Davis walked out of the room.

" Are you happy going there?" Jessica asked. Though she wasn't his mum but she was going to miss him if he leaves the house. In the past few months she has spent here, she has grown to love him and be attached to him despite the fact that he can be a handful and trouble sometimes but she's going to miss every part of you.

" Yes of course auntie Jennifer is the best auntie in the world and she's going to take good care of me, so you don't have to worry about me" Robin gave her a reassuring smile.

" Okay sweetie. Let me change and see you off" Jessica said and ran into the bathroom.

30 MINUTES LATER

Jessica stood infront of the house as Robin and Davis enter the car. She kept on waving at them until they were out of the compound into the streets.

She stayed at home for a while feeling bored and lonely. She can't talk to the maids and she doesn't have any friends around here. So she picked up her phone and scroll through the contacts, she saw Selena's phone number and decided to call her.

" Hello bitch" she yelled excitedly as soon as Selena picked the call.

" Why are you so bent on ruining my entire life? Do you know how I was about to sleep before you called know? What your problem?" Selena asked drowsy.

" Do you want to keep lying there or do you want to come over at my house?" She asked making Selena's sprung up from her bed with force.

" What??? do you want to kill you me?" Selena asked obviously shocked by her suggestion and question.

" Lady!!! your boss is not around and am at home all alone feeling bored and tired" she said, with a little sad voice.

" Where is your husband and your son?" Selena asked

" Robin has two weeks break from school, so his father decided to take him to see one of his aunt's whom he hasn't seen for a long time now and I don't know when he will come back" she explained.

" He? What about Robin?" Selena question further.

" He's spending the entire two weeks in their place but as for Davis I don't know when he's coming back. Maybe today , tomorrow I don't know all I know is that I feel bored and lonely" she answered.

" Okay fine. Send me your address and I'll be there soon" Selena said dragging her lazy ass down from the bed.

Jessica giggled and she ended the call. She sat down on alone drinking some wine when the doorbell rang.

" Maria go check who's at the door" Jessica ordered one of the maids.

Maria went to the door and met a stranger lady there.

" Who are you please and what are you looking for?" Maria asked politely.

" I'm Selena and I'm Jessica's best friend so you can go and tell your boss that I'm here" Selena said

" Okay man I'll get back to you soon" she said and closed the door. She want to Jessica and informed her about Selena's arrival and Jessica gave her permission to let Selena in.

" Wow you look beautiful. Hope you're not planning on seducing a guy?" Jessica said checking out Selena's outfits.

Selena was wearing a chic black jumpsuit, with a gold belt cinching in her waist. Her shoes were black stilettos, and her makeup was bold and striking. Her lips were painted a deep crimson, and her eyes were smoky and dramatic.

" So are you trying to tell me that my outfit is charming?" She asked flaunting her head backwards and spinning herself around for Jessica to check out well.

" Of course. Sometimes I wonder if you have a boyfriend whom you went see before coming to this place" Jessica said laughing.

" Why are you laughing? I really dressed up because this is my first time coming here and please don't make me feel embarrassed" she said sitting down beside Jessica.

" Oh tell me what you cooked, I'm so hungry" she hasn't even completed her sentence when her tummy made a loud growl.

Jessica laughed at Selena's silliness and called Maria to set the table.
