Chapter 19

"This is where I saw the hidden room." I pointed the camouflage door and pushed it. Matthew looked out to see if someone is following us.

I signed him to come in and he followed after. He closed the door while I turned of the lights.

"What the hell is this..." he said with brows knitted. Seemed like he was shocked of what he had seen. "I'm so sorry for keeping this but I've been visiting this place.. and this is what I was telling you earlier.." he looked around and walked.

"That there was someone who entered this room?" He continued what I said. I nodded as if he saw my expression. He was busy exploring the room, so as I.

"Then, the materials he took from here— I saw those under the bed of Maureen. I don't know... I believe that Maureen didn’t have any idea about this and she was set up and planned by Cristina. Not to doubt anyone but... I saw Michael yesterday night... he was the one who entered the restroom and also the one who exited.." my long explanation. He looked at me confusedly.

"So you've been spying on your own?!" His voice raised and looked like he got triggered. I shyly nodded my head.

"Damn, Ash. What if they will find out about this and you will be the one they will be suspected?!" I don't know but I secretly smiled when I felt his cares for me. But I just looked away to hid my feelings.

"That's why I'm telling this to you right now. Because I don’t fucking know who the killer between three of them. But, they were— they have possibilities to become one because of the clues and hints I’ve discovered. But in Cristina’s case, I swear she is so creepy and I can't stop thinking 'bout her!" I confessed. His eyes swollen and I can see the sincerity in it.

He took my both hands and looked me straight in they eye. "But are you okay? Please, don't do this again. From now on, ask my guidance. We'll find this out, TOGETHER. Okay? Not just you alone." I smiled.

I heaved a deep sigh. I know I won't regret telling these things to Matthew. He never fails to disappoint me. And I believe that we can solve this out. To think that know I have him, I won’t be having a hard time finishing this as soon as possible. Also, I know we can survive together alone.

We went down and ate. The two of us just ate because not everyone went together. There was a noise in the living area so we immediately ran to find out. The TV turned on and a note came out of it. "Happy 6th day! You are getting lesser! Isn't it exciting?" "Tangina mo!" Ram shouted. "Do you know that the most loudest person is the next target of the killer, Ram?" Our eyes widened and my heart pounded so fast. I eyed Ram and he was just standing, breathing deeply. We were all speechless.

"So you're telling us that Ram will be the next one who will die?!" Maureen hysterically asked.

"Maybe no, maybe yes." We read on TV. We were just shocked when something hit the TV and broke it.

"You'll die first before I do!" He shouted and grably took the vase on the table and threw it again. I was about to approach him but Matthew stopped me.

"Let him. That's really annoying," he said firmly.

The computer game stopped playing with us, but Ram still hadn’t finished throwing stuff. We just let him until he got tired.

It was eight o'clock in the evening when we ate again. When we finished our me, I washed the plates. Then, we put Kyle's body in his room first. Almost all of our friends who died, we put it in their room. I also don't know why they didn’t smell bad. They should smell so bad because of their dead flesh. Maybe I’ll check it out about that later.

"Are you ready for tonight?" Matthew asked me.

We talked because this morning that we won't sleep and we'll just watch in Cristina's room. At least now, even if I stalk, I won't be afraid to face the killer because I have man with me. Matthew and I can work together and fight with him, right? That is why even when I am nervous, my determination and courage dominates me.

It's our 6th day here, and there are only six of us because no one has died today. But the computer said earlier that it might be Ram is the next. Ram doesn't want to believe it because he can handle him, I guess. Anyways, as long as we are still alive, that what matters.

I looked at Matthew.

"Ready, because I have." I smiled. It’s 9 in the evening now. It's time for us to rest.

"Be careful," Cristina mouthed to Maureen. They are the only two who is talking. I don’t know why they don’t talk to me, as day passes by, our group is slowly breaking down. Yes I am hurt right now, I treated them like my real sister, but this is what I got from them. Accusation, judgement, resentment and everything. I can not even do anything, because when I told them my side, they don’t believe me. Maybe they just really hate me and that is nothing I can do about.

But after all, I'm not mad. They are still my friends and I can save them here, as much as possible.

I entered the room and locked the door.

Then, I remembered Michael. How is he now? Cristina served him the food earlier, did he eat that? I will check him later.

I laid down on my bed and waited for Matthew's signal. The time was 10:10 and we were right, there was a noise outside. I got up and silently went nearer at the door. I then placed my ears at it.

I heard footsteps.

Shit, that is approaching me!

I looked at the doorknob and made sure it was locked. I flinched when I saw someone tried open it. I covered my mouth so I couldn't make any noise. He didn't even open it for a few minutes and walked away from my door. I went back to my seat and put my ear to the door again. Still covering my mouth, I could hear that he was opening the door of every room.

Who is this? Is he/she making sure that we all already asleep? Or is he trying to attack us in our sleep?

I waited for Matthew's call about a few minutes ago. It was eleven o'clock and that's when he knocked. I opened the door and I saw him wearing black hood, i raised my brow when he handed me one also.

"This is for our own safety," he whispered. I picked up the hood and looked at it. I sighed deeply after realizing that it's not the hood I saw under Maureen's bed. I put it on and we went to Cristina’s room. I don’t know about Matthew’s doing, I’m just following him.

"Did you hear—"

"Yeah, so I have a feeling he's going to kill someone tonight," he interrupted me.

"You peek, you're a woman," he whispered again when we reached Cristina's room. I nodded at him. I was about to turn the door but I saw that it wasn't totally closed. I pointed it to Matthew. He frowned even more. This is so weird. Was she the one who tried to enter our room?

"Weird," he exclaimed. We looked like thieves but we are careful peeking at her room! Maybe we can catch Cristina in the act, right?! To finish it right away, I opened her room slowly. I opened it wider when I saw that she was standing up and taking medicine.

In a panic, she automatically turned to us and dropped a bottle containing white medicine.

"What is that?!" I shouted.

She quickly grabbed the medicine and put it back in the bottle. But in her extreme trembling, all the medicine just fell off again on the floor again.

"Why are you here?!" She yelled at me.

I arched my brows. I looked behind me and saw that Matthew was gone. A few seconds later, Ram and Maureen ran to Cristina's room with Matthew. Did Matthew wake them up to witness this?

I faced Cristina again. She was trembling and obviously still shocked.

"Fuck, what happened?!" Maureen pushed me and picked up the bottle that was on the floor.

"Desyrel (trazodone)?" Maureen read the medicine.

"This is for psychiatric patients, ah?! Are you a psychopath?”
